The new forums will be named Coin Return (based on the most recent vote)! You can check on the status and timeline of the transition to the new forums here.
The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Here are my suggestions (Everything can be found in a bunch of consoles/steam unless stated otherwise):
Action Games:
Astral Chain (Switch)
Bayonetta 1-2
Metal Gear Rising
Sekiro
Gujian 3 (do not need to have played the other 2 [they're not in English, but 3 is])
Code Vein
DMC 5
Katana Zero (not really a CAG, but c'mon it's really good!)
RPGs:
Heartbeat (really enjoy this one)
If you can tolerate Anime as fuuuuck.: Trails of Cold Steel 1-3
Virgo Vs. The Zodiacs (hard)
Blue Reflection (combat's great, rest is middling)
Cross Code (more like 2d Zelda, SUPER good)
Resonance of Fate (very unique game play)
Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection (action RPG)
Undertale (if you haven't played it. It's solid and short)
Alpha Protocol (Janky, but good)
SaGa Scarlet Grace Ambitions (Most accessible SaGa game. Plot's not its strong suit)
Tokyo Xanadu: eX+ (low budget feeling, but quite fine)
Persona 5 Royal (comes out next week)
Exist Archive (If you liked valkyrie profile 2 and want more combat like it. The game's average otherwise)
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Switch)
SRPGs
Utawaremono: Mask of Deceit (and the sequel Mask of Truth) (These are 2 Visual Novels, but their gameplay component is FF Tactics like gameplay with timed hits. Enjoyed them a lot)
Banner of the Maid (Maid as in Maiden, it's alternate history Napeolonic Wars: SRPG. I'm only 5 hours in, but it's been a pleasant surprise. Robespierre's face has never looked so punchable)
Grand Guilds (came out yesterday, haven't played it yet, but another good looking SRPG)
Children of the Zodiacs (short little indie SRPG)
Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark (if you like FF Tactics, and want something just like it. I bounced off it after a while, but game's fine)
Metroidvania and such:
Time Spinner
Blood Stained: Ritual of the Night
Touhou: Luna Nights
The Messenger
Mega Man: Rock and Roll (I admit this is because I've started speed running it, but it's super good and free!)
Seems like enough games to get you through at least a week.
League of Legends: Sorakanmyworld
FFXIV: Tchel Fay
Nintendo ID: Tortalius
Steam: Tortalius
Stream: twitch.tv/tortalius

Saff utterly perplexes me
She’s just here to eat pussy and take care of big cats, and she’s all out of pussy.
Saff's a he and apparently a native Hawaiian and a veteran
Saff is way too self aware and yet is entirely nonchalant about losing a limb and in a show full of crazy people this one noncrazy person is making me feel like I'm crazy for being like, LOSING AN ARM TO A TIGER AT WORK IS LIKE, A HUGE DEAL???

does anyone have strong opinion on routers?
i've got new internet being installed this week and i'm assuming the thing they give you is a piece of shit. I'll probably use it in modem mode and then hook it up to a router i buy myself
at the moment it'll only need to cover one relatively small room but i'd like to invest since i'm planning on moving later on in the year

some are shitty and fail on you. That is my main opinion.

Home ownership means I'm now watching YouTube videos about chainsaws with intense interest.
Chainsaws are the BEST. First you rationalize yourself into an electric one, "I could do it with a bow saw, but the time and effort a chainsaw would save is worth the price." Then the fantasy scenarios start, what if you encounter a limb too thick? What if you buy one with too low amperage? A gas saw isn't that much more expensive than electric, and so much more torque... There was that tree that fell across the road during the last big storm... The bigger saws have more accessories, and really if you're going gas powered there's no reason not to buy a fully capable saw, if you wanted one for just piddly pruning you'd buy an electric after all...
When you come out of the haze you discover you've already filmed three seasons of Ax Men and have a Stihl sponsorship.
Ooo, this is shaping up to be a juicy double Kitchen Nightmares
Man "has always loved meat", decides to open up a burger restaurant
Takes money from his son's trust fund left to him by his grandfather, tells him after the fact
Son now has to work at the restaurant to recoup the quarter mill that's been taken from him but father and son work different shifts due to butting heads ("My son has a great deal of resentment towards me. I don't know why.")
First time sitting down with Ramsay, owner claims that Yelp has a vendetta against them, deleting 5-star reviews

DK had some Opinions last time it came up. (whole quote tree). Mostly dont buy cisco.
Unfortunately even if I knew a good router last year, the trajectory of these devices tends to be:
Finally make A Good One
Garner praise from tech press for A Router That Isn't Infuriating Trash
Immediately slash all its specs in half and put shitty firmware on the next one, but give it the same name
$$$$$$$$$$$$
Brand put back in the toilet

I think that little kids in anime and games with a huge glob of snot perpetually dangling from their noses as a design element is one of my least favorite things.
The fuckin turnip seller in animal crossing has this and it grosses me out every time. I irrationally hate it.

Everyone should buy this book and then read it. It's very good. Sort of a sequel to The Gutter Prayer.
