Just involves a little transporting uranium out of a cave and through a waterfall, processing it in plants built on top of the lake above the waterfall, then transporting the waste back down through the waterfall into a part of the cave that clips out of and under the game world. All very responsible.
I was starting to get kind of burned out and invited @Radiation to see what I'd done so far.
I woke up this morning to a full oil refinery, hard drive, and materials queued up for research. I think I'm going to link up some more power sources and build another production floor to make sure he's got plenty of capacityto build.
This game definitely shines with multiple players each working on their preferred stuff.
Still haven't started on my steel. Moved my copper smelting off into a spur and fed the resulting ingots into my production supply so I could have copper sheets and then rotors. I've just got to set up a quick wire to cable loop in the new facility and I'll be able to start on steel
Unless I go and see why my screws are backing up. I've either got a merger that's not connected properly or I miscalculated my throughout and need to come at it from a different angle. At full tilt I should have something like 1800 screws a minute but those don't seem to be turning into reinforced plates very quickly
Or maybe I'll go off in search of another coal deposit because refineries use a lot of power and I'm only hovering around 1000MW of production and I want to shoot some things with my rebar gun
I think this marks a week of "I'll get started on steel production". This game

I think Im gonna have to make a list to track what my belt capacity, like they're all mark 3 but some are actually 270 and some are only 240 or 120 depending on the node
You can sort of have the equivalent of a server by passing the game save back and forth. That’s what me and my buddy have been doing and it works surprisingly well. The game even remembers which character is yours, and offline character will still be in the world standing idle while offline (you can totally cover them in explosives and kill them and take their stuff if you wanted...)
So if you wanted multiplayer that wasn’t dependent on everyone being on at the same time:
- Add everyone as friends, if someone is already online and playing just join that game.
- If you’re hosting the world and want to log off then save, quit, and upload the save to a shared google drive or something.
- If you want to play and no one else is hosting already, just go grab the latest save from the google drive.
Sounds like you can do a simple edit to the ini to up the max player count too
Me, Radiation, and another buddy of mine are doing this to tear up a world three man style.

paint the belts different colours to represent capacity/node purity.
makes it much easier to keep track of how much throughput each has.
Oh hey! You're back.
There was a sword and I've unlocked the bolt thing. If you could find sulfur and quartz around the world that'd be great.
Also think we have an excess of raw ore generation. Was trying to rearange our workshop to help out that situation, but I didn't leave enough space to fully utilize everything. Thinking we should replace the storage boxes off the smelters with industrial ones, then we can have a second set of outputs to feed to different areas of the workshop.
I found sulfur this morning and set up a miner on it. When I was running a belt back to it is when I plummeted off the cliff and died. The miner itself is nearish the coal. I built a foundation bridge to it.
Edit: Oh also set up the production lines necessary to and then fulfilled the order for the space elevator. IIRC the current milestone is oil extraction.
The multiple outputs on industrial storage containers are pretty buggy and inconsistent with how they split outflow. I wouldn’t use the extra output for anything other than daisy chaining to more storage

I have used them as sort of makeshift splitters for odd amounts, when I had multiple inputs. Like, I had two normal coal nodes, each with a Mk2 Miner overclocked to 250%, making 300 coal a minute. I belted both of those into an industrial container and sent 480 to my steelworks, and the remaining 120 into the rest of my factory to make black powder.
Granted, in that specific scenario the math is easy. But doing it with normal mergers and splitters would have been much more complicated.
There's no plan, there's no race to be run

I mean that sometimes they'll send it all to the top belt, sometimes bottom belt, sometimes random mixes, and it'll change as soon as you look away or reboot the game. Use splitters/mergers if you don't want your production line to get borked.

From what I understand they send it to the first belt attached, first.
In my case it didn't matter because the 300 + 300 = 600 coal/min input got split into 480+120 = 600, anyway. It was a very specific circumstance.

Now that Turbomotors and Supercomputers are handled, that lets me upgrade my coal production a bit. With Mk3 miners I am mining enough coal to create the compacted coal I need to upgrade my power plant again. (with enough extra coal left to probably run another floor of my steel mill, if needed, and then some)
Old Version:
New Version:
This is still all feeding off a single 300cm/min pipe of crude oil.
New total power ouput is 25,400MW which includes:
800MW from Geothermal Plants
2400MW from my original Coal Plant
22,000MW from the Turbofuel Plant
Given that I don't have any major projects planned now, that should cover me until the next content update. Or until they decide to patch out the diluted fuel loop. I don't really have any motivation to start nuclear production yet.
Although I suppose I could make a battery production line, since those power vehicles super well.

I've been manually resizing the ones I choose to post in Paint 3D. Downsizing the canvas to 60% and saving as jpeg seems to get under threshold pretty well.
Quick shot of Factory MkII-2 while at lunch. Need to remove the superfluous storage containers sitting between my smelters and my original two constructors. Currently they're filled to the brim with copper and iron ingots. Probably need to turn the miners off for awhile to let them naturally consume the spare ingots, then reclaim that valuable floorspace. Thinking about going vertical. No terrible need at the moment, but I expect before long I'll have access to additional raw resources.
I may have waited until I had the coffee cup unlocked before I shared a screen with the thread.

I can't quite tell what conveyors you have, but I recommend waiting till Conveyor belt MkIII before really going whole hog on factory buildings and organization.
I finally got steel production up and running! I left things running for a couple of hours or so whilst we did the nighttime routine and ended up with enough steel beams in a container to then upgrade all my factory to mk3 conveyors and lifts.
Then when I started trying to do something with the steel pipes / beams I realised my throughput wasn't anywhere near enough so added a few more foundries and came to the conclusion that my single mk2 miner supplying coal for one of my coal plants and the foundries wasn't going to be enough. It's overclocked to 260ppm but I still end up with some of the foundries struggling to load in enough coal. I managed to stop myself at silly o'clock last night before I split off some coal from my other plant across the river but I think that's going to be the only way I can get enough coal to supply enough foundries to produce enough ingots to produce enough beams to keep my assemblers making the parts necessary to make the parts necessary for the next space elevator tier
Sigh
I managed to unlock Hypertubes too. Those things are great fun. I've now got tubes running all over my sprawling mega factory to take me to the constructors, or the assemblers, or to the storage containers. I also managed to fall over the side into the valley below and died, so went to collect my things with the parachute and ended up building a tube back up to make that trip a bit easier for the next time I forget to build walls. Luckily I already had power down there because that's where my secondary coal plant sends the power back up so I already had a nice little foundation bridge with power running across it

The key thing with steel is to get the encased tubes recipe from hard drives, as it drastically reduces steel needed for enforced beams. Most other recipes use pipes, very few use steel beams, turns out.

OK, maybe I need to go running around to find some Hard Drives then. I'm always worried about wandering off into the unknown away from my factory because my sense of direction is so awful. It's nice having the hub / space elevator show up on the compass but that doesn't account for giant mountains or bodies of water being in your way

Got the day off today so I'm going to do a factory reorg, I've come up with a floor pattern I think I like I just need to destroy everything I've created like an angry god and build it anew
Whoo! We unlocked the map. And the explorer. @Quid I was on the way to get aluminium production up and running. I have all the parts I need (I think), so hopefully will have that production up and running later this afternoon. I have a few work things but likely be up and running around 5?
