the only thing that matters is humidity

I was fine in Arizona with 0% humidity and I hated Boston with 100% humidity

The idea that temperature is the core pillar of comfort is a bourgeois notion and must be destroyed

    well to a point

temperatures where regular cars stop working is just, this is a stupid temperature for a place to have, why are there people here, and why the fuck do I need to be here to keep it from the russians as far as I'm concerned they can have this bullshit if they want it

We drove from LA to Vegas in July (post-Comic Con is the only reason we would do such insanity) and it was like 48C. That kills car pretty fast too.

    also just straight up bullshit

we don't call nature on its shit enough

48? get the fuck out of here, earth

For a while my favorite easy/healthy dinner was fish wrapped in foil with veggies and baked/steamed in the oven

I'd rather take sci fi surface of fucking pluto temperatures than super hot temperatures

making heat is uncomplicated and besides freezing to death isn't a bad way to go but when it's too hot the only thing my body is able to do is softly moan about it being too hot

I had a leg of lamb for easter. It was very good, and traditional. But we concluded that it doesn't seem like it would be a very old tradition, because it's entirely out of the season for lamb, lambs born now aren't ready to eat until autumn and this wasn't the kind of country where throwing away food like that was the done thing

besides it obviously being a custom from the older parts of the bible, so it wouldn't have roots older than christianity in norway, but it feels like it was imported much more recently than that. Trying to think of vectors.

    so anyway

anybody else have lamb for easter as a traditional meal?

The local chinese place is similarly closed, unclear if/when they will be open again.

It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing... And take away its pain.

it's a good tradition though it's a very good meal

lots of rosemary and garlic for the leg, on top of root vegetables with some water at the bottom for two to three hours in the oven, and the lovely juices from that are made into delicious gravy. Add potatoes. Meat is flavourful enough to work excellently for kebabs - or maybe they were more like gyros? - the day after. And today, I imagine, if I had stayed.

    or

Spiders have very small penises, proportionately speaking.

Which means, and this is purely speculation on my part, there is probably a subgenre of erotic Spider-Man art where he has a small dick.

You thinking like, literally, there are dozens of anime shows on netflix, and out of all of them this could make it to the top three, or are you looking for something that just feels like it deserves a bronze medal and no further?

We finished map 2 and 3 of the new GTFO season tonight!

Just finished map 3, we were completely fucked by the last security door. But one of us managed to get to the exit while the two others drew aggro and apparently as long as one person completes the exit countdown the party completes it. Good to know that in the future as well.

We tried map 2 like 6 times and weren't even close over a week and a half. Then switched tactics to check for RNG that the key needed at the end spawned in the room with the defensible exit instead of the one with a non-defensible exit. It's a 50/50 RNG which room it goes in but all our failed attempts it was in the hard-to-defend-room.

This time we got to the end and I had done mistakes aplenty so we were kind of fucked up, but the better room was so much easier defended that we skated through no problem.

RNG really can make a run so much more difficult in that game.

It’s the best coop experience I’ve had in decade(s). We’ve played around 60 hours now, exact same crew. We just barely finished the first season on the final day before they changed the maps out - having played it two nights a week since January.

We’re the same crew but also we’re just three instead of four, so we have to be extremely tight to make it work, which has become part of the fun.
