I wish more people would ping well. I almost exclusively use it. Only time I use my mic is when people have been chill most of the time with good call outs, which is maybe one out of every 50 games.
Apex's voice volume is so fecking low, that even in the rare case that you get a rando that actually talks and isn't a gibbering shitlord you can't hear what they're saying unless there's absolutely zero in-game sound.
Ping system is fantastic though, I use the shit out of it.
New collection event, complete with Rampart Heirloom (dunno who was asking for that but there we go), hooray? Dunno, these things always feel more like cash grabs than interesting events for the game but that might be too cynical.
Been using her a lot the past few weeks, and Sheila has been more of an area-of-denial thing than an actual way of getting kills. Looking forward to this change.
I know what that change means, but when I read "Rampart's ult is now usable on the move" my brain immediately went to summoning Shiela and strapping it on a Segway so you can still move and shoot
Sound is the main issue. Going to another game like PUBG or even Fortnite you can telll just how much better the audio is in those games. Not to mention the constant audio cuts.
The game has a long list of bugs both on the client and server that have been there since launch and I'm pretty sure will stay because of the nature of the engine.

Twitch streamers seem to be playing fine though

Yeah I played a few games last night, two out of three I had no teammates, and I was kicked to the main screen in between games with multiple connection errors.
And this is why I wish they could rework the whole game, this pretty much happens every season, the spaghetti code must be terrible.
Bleh, servers are not much better right now. Playing with some friends, more often than not, one or two of us are sent back to the lobby without the ability to get back in the game.

I had one timeout error tonight (naturally just after a solid arenas clutch that took us out of the danger zone!), but other than that it was stable on my end, but I did see a lot of arena teams with missing players from the jump, so things are definitely still screwy. But I couldn't get in at all last night, so I suppose it's better than that!
Australian servers were defs on fire yesterday. Got a few games in early, but one it hit peak period it was solo drop, solo drop, DC, DC, can't connect to servers. Have not got to experience Big Maude or play as Rampart yet, but I'm loving the twist on arenas. The option to just BUY an Alternator is wild.
Got the new Fuse Skin because I've been playing him a fair bit recently and the option to cosplay Iron Hand Straken from 40k is too good to pass up. Decided to be a consumer and bought the bundle and got the Bangalore Legendary and both skydive emotes, which I am Whelmed by. Still have enough Crafting Metals to get one more skin but not sure which. The Rampart one is very cool, as is the Wraith one, though I don't play her much. I have been wanting a nice 301 skin and I don't love any of the default Legendaries, and White and Purple is pretty neat. Hmm, decisionssss
I doubt there’s more load on the servers than there was at the season launch, and the S10 launch was pretty problem free. I think they introduced some new bugs with this update.
Servers got improved with today's patch. There's also a bug that animated banners are what causes the game to hang/crash at match load, so removing them will fix it for the time being.

For match making reasons i cannot discern, I was placed solo against a team of 3.
I can only assume it put me against 3 brand new players because I am not very good and I absolutely ruined them.

I'm a big fan of the G7 but sometimes it's the "deal" gold version and I can't afford it off the bat. I actually did well with the Longbow DMR.
I am garbo at close range though.
Hipfire vs. aiming down sights and when to use both is interesting. Have been absolutely murdering fools with the prowler lately. Even the hipfire is great.

the actual event gives you precisely 0 of the event packs you need to get any of the event specific items, and there are 40 fucking things to unlock
God I fucking hate how nakedly greedy this shit is.
Edit: It would cost 140$ to purchase the Apex Coins to get everything, that being the only way to be sure you'd get the things you actually want.

I think there are a couple of event packs in the free tracks either next week or the week after, but only, like, 2. It's a bit weird to even label it as an event when the LTM is only around for the last week anyway, more of an advertising blitz.

My biggest (and impossible) wish is that they switch game engines someday.
It's original Source engine, so it's fairly antiquated in certain ways.
