i really like the idea of the skin, boxy zen. however, the colors are not a good pick. his orbs look like a Microsoft promotion gimmick and his left knee looks hideous.
Also holy cow, right now the queues are < 2 mins across the board. Good time to get some DPS games in. Probably won't last since the queue times are always better during events, and right now almost everyone is testing out flex queue.
There's a splash message that Dva has been disabled while they research an issue with her.
I may have to get that Reinhardt skin.

Penguin Mei - great, best of the bunch
Ice Empress Moira - no, low effort
Conductor Rein - good but the character is such a broken OP POS opinion is skewed
Lumberjack Torb - good, solid
Toybot Zenyatta - trying too hard, feels lost
Gingerbread Ana - meh, should have been a Mrs. Claus theme
Elf Junkrat - meh
Frosty Roadhog - only good part is the head, once you look at it for more than a glance you see how they didn't even make the rest of him snow. Could have easily made the tattoo yellow a dab.
I can tell it's been a couple weeks since I last played by it giving me multiple "way to have a 4 endorsement" after about 5 "thanks for reporting" things on log-in.
E2:
Aaaand for my first game, trying flex queue, rolled into support with a Rein who was hard feeding, and whose response when someone said "Rein, please stay with your team and stop charging in alone," was to sit in spawn, throwing a massive tantrum about how he's our slave and is going to run off to the cotton fields just as soon as he's done slaving for us.
I wonder if it's called flex queue because "the queue for matching you with nothing but throwers" doesn't fit the text box.
I mean, it's probably because it's winter break and an event, so double whammy, but jesus fuck. It's a struggle to even reach 9 wins when every match has 2-3 throwers. Just a question of which team has the most.
i wonder if more people are just clicking it to get tickets and these people normally never play as tanks or healers so it looks like they are throwing but they just don't know what to do...maybe...i'm an optimist i guess

No, they were throwing. Of the five games I tried to play yesterday. Three had people AFK in spawn at the start of the match, one of which had THREE people across the two teams AFK in spawn. One had an SMG only Widow. One had a Mercy hard pocketing his friend, a Tracer, which went as well as you'd expect. Another had a Torbjorn who did nothing but put down a turret and hammer it. But the best may have been the group that started yelling at me in chat (because none of them were in voice) for being on point (on Hanamura) while the fucking enemy Ball that they apparently could not kill WAS ALSO ON POINT.

As always you're describing a completely different world from the game I play. I have hardly any issues like that with solo Quick Play. I'm at a loss for why competitive draws people who don't want to try hard, but to hear you describe it I don't know why you haven't given up on it by now.
Instead of people who are assholes on voice, QP gets you five times as many leavers, and all the people who are playing "I'm gonna meme and fuck around. Fuck you for wanting to play Overwatch." It's not a winning trade.
E:
And you guys also have weird definitions of "not throwing," lest we forget the time I posted clips of a guy alternatingly AFK in spawn for half the match and walking straight into enemies without shooting at them and got told that I shouldn't have reported them.
maybe its the ELO? I just don't get that many leavers/afkers. I play almost every day for an hour or two and while i get the usual leavers at the very end when a team is getting rolled, other than that its very very infrequent.
Leavers in QP are no big deal, they just get replaced. It's not game-ending. And sure you get non-meta team comps on both sides but I rarely encounter anyone who is blatantly just goofing off.

My games in QP have had a goof rate of up to like 1 in 3 players in QP
I've actually had more fun in No Limits Arcade and the like because at least the game there is actually built for it
tonight i did have one of those players. one of our tanks was orisa. they would run out of spawn, throw their shield down and then just sit there. we kept it fairly competitive for being 5v6 but lost after a while. it was an easy report but i was glad for the matches to be over to move on to a team that didn't have that problem. i feel like the report button needs to be a little easier to reach. it's either through social or after a match hitting J and right clicking on the team member. i wish in game hitting tab allowed me to be interactive with the team members with those same options.
ELO in QP and Comp are not the same, so if you don't play QP much, or only to practice heroes you're not good at, you might be in a low bracket where you naturally get matched with people who lose a lot for dumb reasons. I play QP full time using my mains and find the matchmaking to be pretty good.

My experience is the flex games feel like comp minus points, which is all I want from QP. But when you use the priority tickets for DPS you get dropped into the trash games and maps. It's supposed to be random but it always feels like they're waiting to fill a Horizon map and just dump the ticket users in there. I mean it's nice to have a real game playing healer, but I'd like to have a real game as a DPS on attack once a month instead of just trash teammates against a 5-stack.
Sigma is still OP piece of shit. Mercy and he can get coal for Christmas.
With the flex thing I actually played a few DPS games and oh wow, is my DPS rank just so low I get paired with folks who do not push or something? I had a Rialto game where the payload moved if I killed half the other team. If I killed less than that folks wouldn't actually push and follow up, most especially our Lucio who I never saw in the thick of things. Which, uh, is not how I roll with Lucio.

Lucky. I tried the same and I got Hog/Ball frontline on Anubis for one match, which of course got rolled, and for the other match, the other team had a Doom and Winston that were diving the backline, but our Rein, Zarya, and Hanzo were just W-ing straight ahead no matter what. Push the payload? Nah. We actually won a fight, so it's time to spawn camp instead of pushing the payload! Oops, now we're completely staggered and gave them a full reset. Back to ignoring their divers.

nobody presses w all the way up to 4k
a common complaint about masters players autofilled into high gm games is that they dont press w
Might as well get my DPS placements finally done since the season's over soon, and I can use these stupid priority passes that otherwise do nothing for me.
Queue, tab out. Browses.
15 minutes later. Wait, wasn't I fucking queued?
...Yup. Still queued.
System's working fucking great, Blizzard!
E: 22 minute queue w/priority pass to be put into a game with two hard-feeding tanks. Like, a Hamster who was dead literally before anybody else could even make it to the point all three rounds, and a Rein who just charged straight in every time. I had fewer deaths in each round than either had before the first 10% of the point was capped. That's enough fucking Overwatch for the day at one game.
I think my DPS queue time with a pass has never been above 4 minutes, usually closer to 2-3.

I had a ten minute wait with a priority pass once, but what really pissed me off is twice now I’ve used a priority pass and been dropped into a match in progress (both third round KotH maps where my team was 25% away from losing and both lost).

That gets you a priority requeue though which is basically the same as a priority pass. Though I'm not sure if the system is smart enough to preserve your priority pass when you requeue.

Edit: The full list was put up, Experiment lasts until the 11th:
HERO UPDATES (ONLY IN EXPERIMENTAL)
Ashe
The Viper
Aim-down-sights damage reduced from 80 to 75
Aim-down-sights recovery time reduced from 0.7 to 0.65 seconds
Developer Comments: Ashe being able to eliminate 200 health enemy heroes with one headshot while assisted by 30% damage boost became too dominant, especially when combined with the other improvements to her weapon. We are lowering the maximum damage but also the shot recovery time to keep her overall damage output relatively the same.
Hanzo
Storm Arrows
Shot recovery time reduced from 0.3 to 0.25 seconds
Developer Comments: This rate of fire change improves the feel and effectiveness of the Storm Arrows ability and though small, adds up over the course of firing 5 arrows.
Sigma
Experimental Barrier
Redeploy cooldown increased from 1 to 2.5 seconds
Developer Comments: We’re increasing the cooldown of Sigma’s barrier to require a higher commitment to its placement and open up additional opportunities for counterplay.
Wrecking Ball
Adaptive Shield
Shield per target reduced from 100 to 75
Developer Comments: Wrecking Ball’s high mobility and potential for massive shield health have left him a bit too survivable after the overall damage and crowd control in the game have been tuned down. We are reducing the amount of additional shields he generates per target though the base 100 shields from the ability remains unchanged.
As long as Ligma still has a barrier and it's not Orisa or Rein style, he's going to be the breaker in this game. Or you flat out cut his primary in half and removing the ricochet chip damage. I have been pushing more to Richard Hammond and Roadhog both losing 100hp so they can remain the tank DPS' with self sustain (and Ball has mobility to leave too), but they won't be bailed out by that 100hp when they get to the healers.
Ashe should get the ADS nerf but not quicker recovery, you're again letting her take over (old) McCree rof territory, only with her snipe. I'd just cut her hip fire in half, so it's there but the asset is the sights, this also lets McCree have some play space again.
Hamzo doesn't need a buff, he needs a nerf to his ult charge.
I think it's safe to assume that Blizz makes these balance changes based on concrete internal metrics, and none of the characters are actually game-breakingly overpowered in practice. They have Win % for sure and probably a bunch of more targeted things like average DPS, survivability, etc. Everything you're advocating for would be massive sweeping nerfs all at once, and there's just no reason to handle balance that way. Better to make conservative changes frequently so you don't give the community whiplash from overcompensating.
Sigma's greatest strength is his ability to constantly re-deploy his shield, which makes him an extremely good duelist. That's why his whole playstyle is taking a flank, sending in potshots, and daring you to try to push him out, because you'll be taking damage the entire time while he can keep mitigating damage easily.
Upping the shield cooldown time all the way up to 2.5 seconds is actually a massive nerf to that playstyle. I was thinking they'd either nerf something like his base health, or up the shield time to like, 1.5 or 1.75.
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.

Also I think there is some misconception about metas and how they form.
It isn't always about what's strongest on paper sometimes its simply about what let's you make the most mistakes and still come out on top
So sometimes making a hero less forgiving is really all you have to do.

Also I don't mind the Sigma change cause right now he does D.Va's job better than she does while also being a budget Rein.
Narrowing his focus a bit is healthier for the tank role I feel.
I've kind of come to the conclusion that TexiKen only posts their buff/nerf suggestions immediately after a match where either their team had someone that was bad with their hero (buff) or the enemy team had a hero that absolutely bodied them (nerf). They consistently have such out-there opinions and make such wild change suggestions, it just feels like they're coming in here going 'FUCK this game and FUCK that character, throw them in the trash/buff them into the atmosphere' without any real consideration to what it would actually do to the game.
(Nothing personal TexiKen, that's the honest impression you've left me with over the months/years)
