I'm sorry, but that would be a violation of every philosophy that is central to my being: ethical, moral, political, sexual. Dear lord. TWEWY in DOCKED mode? Would you have me abandon the very me that makes me ME?
But anyway I was referring to inputting partner actions and whatnot.
I think there's a two-player mode where you can use one joycon gyro for each player. Like Pokemon Go you can of course do this with one person if you are sufficiently ambidextrous.
Then, open up the eShop using your Japanese profile, the layout is the same as the US version so you can just download the SNES and NES apps from there.

while good information, sorry I was just vainly complaining about there not being an english version available
Just buy a Wii U, then buy Earthbound on it for more money than any other VC game!
Jesus, it's not difficult!

I just used my Wii U for something other than Wii Fit for the first time in years.
The controller sticks are super sticky, which is weird, mostly because I noticed that months ago, cleaned them and haven't touched them since

at this point the combination of no square games + sqaure just not selling ports of those games like they've done on every other system feels really strange
Not sure what you mean. All the Final Fantasy’s that are on other consoles are here - even a pocket version of Final Fantasy XV. There is also Final Fantasy World already on the system, A Bravely Default is coming, Octopath Traveller is a thing, and the Crystal Chronicles Remake is coming as well. How does that equal no Square games and no Square ports?
Unless you mean specifically the NES and Super NES games, yeah that’s definitely a thing that is missing. There’s a lot of other companies that aren’t there either though.
Sure, I guess what I'm speaking to more specifically is the games that could be either A) a part of the NES/SNES online library, or for sale on the eShop.
As of now they are available in neither capacity.
And that feels weird since they've been available on multiple console and pc stores including earlier nintendo shops. The only real idea we have of what they're doing on that end feels like maybe they want to mana collectionify other earlier games?
Red haired anime boy goes on adventures , Anime girls fall in love with red haired anime boy , Red haired anime boy is married to adventure and fucks off into the sunset.
One thing that I immediately saw that made me just fucking groan is that they're doing literally the exact same "paint the blank spots on the overworld" shit as Color Splash again, but this time, it's throwing confetti, which you have a limited amount of and need to hammer random plants and shit to refill it. Like... literally that same fucking paint mechanic again, but more random and obnoxious.

Apparently this has been known for a while, and I'm just slow. Well, whatever. I hate it and those clips make it look even worse than Color Splash's crap. But this also shows that there's no experience or levels for battles, only coins awarded, which really seems like it bodes pretty ill.

They're mostly action RPGs
Although to be clear, Origin does not have the red haired anime boy in it. Still 100% action RPG. Hack, slash, level up, repeat.

Ys Origin is really good. I think it's best played after playing Ys I and II because you get to go through some of the same locations and it has a neat impact.

It looks incredible for an NES game, though.

It's only available on the Japanese version of the SNES NSO app.
Sign up for a Japanese Nintendo Account, then use it to get on the Japanese eShop, this is very easy and completely allowed: https://www.gamesradar.com/3-easy-steps-to-setup-your-nintendo-switch-for-imports-with-a-japanese-eshop-account/

Missed this the first time through the thread. Yeah, sure, I'll buy this a third time.

They just need to put all the Ys games on the Switch.
Seems like they're working on it.
