I can't imagine them allowing thoughtseize into historic, it's one of the most format warping cards of pioneer and they deliberately avoided introducing that kind of power into jumpstart. It's on the level of adding lightning bolt or path to exile to the format which they replaced when they were printed in jumpstart. I could sort of see Pact of Negation/Collection Company/Others but thoughtseize is the best 1 mana discard spell ever printed and will change the format for sure.

Yeah when I started playing Magic we used ante rules and it's unbelievably dumb. It was never even worth anything!

it feels very silly in Shandalar when you have to fight your way through special dungeons to find "treasures" like Feldon's Cane or Ali from Cairo, and then you can stumble into a town shop and buy four Contract From Below

draw 7 for 1 is good as it turns out
like, recall is the most powerful non-ante card ever printed and that shit is 3 for 1 (at instant)
old magic was so stupid

Tho I would still kill for a new Shandalar on modern hardware.

Yeah, but that's in a fully digital environment. If it turns out it totally fucks up historic they can just give out some wildcards and no one will get too upset.
My friend is working on a roguelike game you can play if you want to. (It has free demo)

I just opened a box of double masters with my wife, we got our value just in mythic rares (we didn't check on any rares, might later), for those curious.
Couple stand outs I'm really pleased with:
Mana Crypt
Full alt art Mox Opal
Atraxa
Avacyn
Avenger of Zendikar
Wurmcoil
Foil Riku
Opening packs with two rares felt really good, although I was nervous about the price tag until we ripped the Mana Crypt.

Amonket remastered is out, and you can buy the full art lands for 800 gems/ 4000 gold per color. But they don't have an option yet to make them shiny. Big Miss.

Okay, thoughts for my Teysa deck. I saw the TCC video about Dimir House Guard and it has me thinking. I could swap the Dimir House Guard in for another sacrifice outlet, like Yahenni and then be able to use his flexible tutoring. I could even sub something like Zulaport Cutthroat for Falkenrath Noble and/or Vindictive Vampire which would be tutorable. So, it would be nice to get those kinds of things on demand, but it's still a 3 mana sorcery speed tutor so is it even worth it to substitute in two arguably weaker cards for flexibility? Without changing anything else, I could tutor: Debt to the Deathless, Erebos Bleak Hearted, Luminous Broodmoth, Pitiless Plunderer, Smothering Tithe/Abomination, Utter End and Solemn Simulacrum.
You'd only want to play Dimir House Guard if the tutor effect can hit a range of things. Damnation (or Wrath of God in your case), Return to Dust, Utter End, and then the Solemn Simulacrum for fixing/ramp and threats you listed above. I've also been impressed by Citadel Siege in commander. Maybe even something like Worship or a big lifegain card could have a home, which Debt to the Deathless is a great example of.

Hmm, so basically not enough variety of targets currently in the deck.
It is endlessly funny to me that consistently the people who get saltiest and anger-rope me when I play my dimir flash deck are people playing simic flash
It's like dog what do you think it's like normally playing against you

Right. The problem with House Guard is that it's a 3 mana tutor that only hits 4 mana spells. You basically never want to cast a 4 mana do-nothing. So instead of House Guard you can look into actual tutors. Beseech the Queen is criminally underutilized.

Well it does do things, I do want a sac outlet, so it can do double duty. It's probably not worth tilting my mana curve up though, and just kind of subbing out two good cards for meh cards.
Also, why Beseech over Diabolic Tutor? In mono black I see Beseech can be one cheaper, but Diabolic seems easier to cast in Orzhov.

Well, I mean, how many tutors do you want to run? Demonic Tutor is the gold standard, and there are people that don't hate the card disadvantage of Vampiric Tutor.

Wishclaw Talisman can be helpful in diplomatic multiplayer.

I thought Vampiric Tutor was more desirable because you could play it on turn one

The card banned in Legacy is absolutely more desirable.

Both of them are banned in Legacy, though.
Demonic Tutor is better overall but Vampiric Tutor is better for decks that just need one specific card to win the game. I wouldn't necessarily expect Vampiric Tutor to see play if it was legal in Modern, for example, but it's busted in Legacy and Vintage.

Yeah when I started playing Magic we used ante rules and it's unbelievably dumb. It was never even worth anything!
Primarily because ante cards were almost immediately banned

What’s great is that they thought U for draw three was equal in power to W gain 3 life
Ancestral recall was rare and the others weren't; they knew the cycle was unbalanced.
