That ring is going in my firemind's research proliferate deck for sure (and it will continue to lose, often)

My friend is working on a roguelike game you can play if you want to. (It has free demo)

Omniscience draft, or how many draw 3s did you open and did you win the die roll.

Initial impression: hey, this feels like my kind of bullshit.

Impression after playing a few games: a format in which the most valuable cards are Garruk's Uprising and Teferi's Tutelage is perhaps not my bullshit after all.

Hexproof from planeswalkers is an interesting phrasing, since it means global damage/destroy still take it out.

It would be a high draft pick just at 4/3 flying lifelink for 4, the boast ability seems great on a flyer in general, nevermind such an aggressively costed one.

Boast isn't sorcery speed, right? So you could totally pop that pre-blockers if they only have one creature.

Yeah Ugin's +2 misses but his -4 works just fine.

counterspells are almost as important as bomb creatures and draw 3s, and people sleep on them

Yeah, should be able to after declaration of attackers. Probably some cases where post-blockers is also nice.

Your order of operations for picking in draft is.

    -Draw 2 or greater
    -Bombs or engines
    -Discard 2 or greater
    -Counters (hard counters only)
    -Draw 1
    -Hard to kill creatures
    -removal

Try not to pick anything else if you can help it.
    Never mulligan.
Pray you don’t ever see those 2 Prismites you’re forced to play to hit 40

hard to kill creatures needs to go after bombs, and discards are almost meaningless

At last! Werewolf tribal can be kind of good. Oh, sure, it might look like Elf tribal, but with this card in play it's Werewolf tribal, so there.

Annul is usually relevant sideboard material. I'm not sure the Necro sees much constructed play (two relevant creature types might help him out there), but he's a 4/4 for 4 mana with a nice ability if he sticks around, so probably a pretty good draft pick.

Two-color and three-color decks play 8-10 basics and 4 Fabled Passage right now. That's probably enough for a 3-mana manland. You'll only run it in 1-2 color decks, but that's normal for colorless manlands.

Where's Frank Karsten when you need him?

That Draugr should be able to cast creatures your opponent has exiled with Ice Cauldron. I'm going to e-mail Gavin about the massive flavor fuck-up.

You can have as many snow lands as you want in your deck if it’s constructed
