Don't know where else to put this, but I got really into Siivagunner's high-quality rips, and the amount of references to Love Live! on the channel led me to sitting down and watching that series, and I really liked it! Are there any recommendations for stuff in a similar vein (mostly the fun breezy slice of life stuff).
Aikatsu and PriPara are my first thoughts. Maybe Pretty Rhythm. Also Music Girls I suppose.
Oh man I honestly thought I was the only one here who watched Aikatsu, PriPara, and Pretty Rythem.

I only watched a couple of each to get a feel for them. I have difficulty staying caught up or finishing shows unless I'm watching them with someone else. They all seemed fun though.

Note for folks considering Jujutsu Kaisen: I would qualify it as Action Horror. Buyer beware.
I started on the first volume of the Ancient Magus Bride spin-off: Wizard's Blue (or Alchemist's Blue depending on where on the internet you're looking. Physical copy says Wizard's Blue so it is leading for me.)
It's a bit of disappointment honestly, it's not by Kore Yamazaki, who is just supervising the whole thing. Overall it's kinda of a mirror Ancient Magus Bride: It's in France, we have an ancient powerful female being and a little orphan boy with potential.
Main character, Ao, is Japanese (cause of course he is) and he gets ridiculously bullied by everybody around him. Don't know why, because he is the textbook definition of "Hey, he's a nice kid." and then you forget that you ever met him and never think about him again.
Our ancient Magus is Giselle (a Queen apparently) and she is the best character in the book so far. She is some dragon lady, she is more social and in tune with humanity than Elias and she's looking for a husband (apparently not for romantic reasons, but it's a ritual that has to be completed.)
Overall it's moving faster than Ancient Magus Bride and is missing the just enjoying moments of beauty of rural England and magic bits that made Ancient Magus Bride so good.

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
was pretty good. the middle case had some pacing issues, i think they could probably have made the 3rd case be 5 episodes and put the 2nd down to 4, but generally enjoyable.

Only one episode of Occultic;Nine left, and I keep wondering how the VN handled all these Plot Twists, good lord. The last hour has just been a nonstop roller coaster of swerves.
Big questions on that home release: which dub(s) will they have (both like Akira's most recent release would be great). And will they retain the ED that Netflix trashed to save a buck?

Ok, so I've been slowly working my way through the English dub of Hajime No Ippo while doing high intensity interval bodyweight cardio training because it's kind of the perfect show for that and I finally reached just about the end. I know that the first OVA is dubbed but beyond that I'm going to need a new show to fill that role, ideally something you can follow along with just by listening since I'm spending half the time staring at the floor. I'm thinking maybe a re-watch of Stand Alone Complex?
I tried to look up good anime for Halloween time but everything seems like either high concept superhero fair or slow creeping horror stuff. I don't know why I expected to find 80s shonen like Fist of the North Star but they're all Frankensteins and wolfmen instead of a bunch of lists about moeblob witches but...here we are.
I’ve been watching The Slayers for the first time and, almost 30 episodes in, it seems a surprisingly good Halloweenimé, lots of monsters and demons and body horror
There's tons of good shows in that general 'exploring a weird fantasy RPG-esque world' from around that time. El Hazard, Ruin Explorers, Those Who Hunt Elves, Sorcerer Hunters, Rune Soldier, Bastard! and uh...the one whose name I can't remember that's going to bug me now.
I love the 80s/90s japanese high-fantasy-swords-and-sorcery aesthetic so much. Of those sword and sorcery setting shows with a more comedic tone listed above, I've only seen El Hazard, Sorcerer Hunters and Slayers, but IMO Slayers handily beats the other two in overall quality.
Slayers is better overall, but the seasons slowly get worse, and I've heard the newer reboot-ish seasons are dreadful.
I love El Hazard, but my friends and I also watched it a ton in high school. The Alternative World series is also fun, but I never tried the TV show version, just the original OVA.
I like the newer seasons of Slayers, actually! I remember feeling pleasantly surprised how much they felt just like lost seasons from the original productions despite being separated from those runs by 11 years.
Ive never actually watched Slayers. It seems like a weird oversight since Ive seen arguably more obscure stuff like Dragon Half
Dragon Half is another show I love. I got to meet the guy who dubbed Damaramu at a con back in the day, and just hang out with him for a while. He looks and acts exactly as you'd expect, it was great. Also Gai from Nadesico, which was way bigger of course.

The Slayers is good. Lina was a mood before moods were a thing.

It’s entertaining buuuuuut
I took a look at the shows recommended, and I really liked the look of this one, plus it seems short so I can get through it in a few days.
K-On also fit this but it's longer so I can wait a sec for it.
Edit: Also should say I'm a huge fan of Kaguya-sama, if that also helps.

Between this and Burn the Witch, I might renew my crunchyroll sub.

The VN looks sharp, too.
Wonder how it compares to S;G?
Attack on Titan has good music.
Its hard for a small company to change their name even if theyre moving on to different media
