Holy shit I almost forgot about this.

I'm still a maybe. It's going to be very dependent on whether/when I get a new job (interview next week) and the arrangements I can make for time off.

And after getting Mario Strikers Charged Football and loving it i'm convinced we must have a tournament of this.

I would bring my Wii if others bring 3 Wiimotes and Nunchucks.

Also Lewie, i'll ask my friend if he's interested first.

So I didn't quit PA after all - but really probably should.

Either way I'm still going on Holiday on the sunday - so I almost definitely won't have time to hang out. So I'm declaring myself out....

...But if I get a free hour or so, I may get chance to see what you're all up too.

But also - if you're still thinking of going to Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes - you may want to think about booking soon - it's quite in demand. http://www.bloomsburybowling.com/

I also bought Mario Strikers today and have to say that it's the untold wonders of its multiplayer are... untold. But we have discussed the possibility of doing such a thing, and people have rightly said that they'd rather not sit indoors all day and play video games on a console.

Good question. They will come from the same pool. That is, some of us will be rape-ERS and some of you will be rape-EES. My use of "Us" and "You" in that sentence should serve to let you know which group I will be part of.

Imma poasting mah err... (I don't know how to mangle this meme properly for this).

Anyway, I've had an awful lot of real life come up, so I'm sort of handing the reins over to, well, whoever wants them. I'm still definitely coming, I just have far too much work on as it is without this on top (and since the other things either pay £7 an hour, contribute towards my career or give blowjobs, they come first)

It's a shame that you've had so much come up, but I doubt the reins really need to be handed to anyone. All that people need to do is book tickets for those dates (I'm personally going to come up on the Friday and then go home on the Sunday morning).

We do need to find suitably cheap accommodation for everyone though. I wonder if they have Travel Inns in the city centre?

EDIT: I think Travel Inns are a bit expensive, but then again so are Comfort Inns and Holiday Inns, if I'm reading the pricing correctly (They don't exactly explain it very well on their websites). We could stay in a youth hostel or something.

Well there's the accommodation (for obvious reasons I'd prefer we were all staying at least in the same post code, if not the same hotel/whatever), but also there has been much talk of this place:

    http://www.bloomsburybowling.com/

For all sorts of karaoke driniing nonsense, but which I think we'd need to book a bit in advance (I was planning on doing a double check with everybody a month before the event via PM), then booking accordingly. To be honest I hadn't really worked out the kinks*.

    *Fatal, cataclysmic flaws.

I'm still concerned about the dates, man.

Friday 13th might be the cool and spooky date and all, but some of us work on weekdays, and missing half of the event is rather annoying :(

And stuff being closed on a Sunday really isn't a huge problem; this is London, there are plenty of places open on a Sunday.

Cripes and jiminy, you guys really need to sticky this! I see the thread was created awhile ago but it seems to have only recently limped its way back onto the front page.

I currently live in London, and as far as i'm aware i've got nothing on that weeked, so i'd be quite amenable to the idea of joining up with you guys. Plus, putting faces to some of these avatars would be pretty cool. Is there room for one more?

Major_Tom: I've added your name to the list.

Righty-ho. I'm going to send PMs to everyone on the list asking if they're more amiable to Saturday-Sunday. Some of us can arrive on the Friday previous though, if anyone wishes to do that. I was going to arrive Friday and go home Sunday in the first place, anyway.

Also, I need ALL of you to help. I've decided that staying in a Hostel is the best idea, because they can be quite cheap (£15 a night, or whatever), and we can get big rooms. Here's the plan:

I NEED YOU ALL TO LOOK UP SUITABLE HOSTELS AND SUGGEST THEM HERE. I'M NOT DOING IT ALL ON MY OWN. WHEN I FIND SUITABLE ONES, I'LL GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM AND ASK THEM IF THEY CAN TAKE OUR PARTY.

The fact that we'll be booking accommodation means that we'll need definite numbers of who's coming soon enough. This whole thing is happening in just over a month's time, so we need to start getting serious:

    seriouscatmg3.jpg

I just found this place, for accommodation, and I like the prices:
    http://www.hostellondon.com/hosteldetails.php/NorfolkHouseHotel-London-14935

It costs £90 a night for a 10 person room, with a shower and toilet, which is only £9 each. Then any extra people we have along can get a smaller room, such as a 5 person, if we have 15 etc. and the prices for those aren't that much. Then we can just tally up the total and divide by the number of people so that we're all paying the same rate.

BUT THIS MEANS WE NEED NUMBERS.

As loathe as I am to be some kind of tyrant, I think I might have to set a date by which people need to confirm whether they are definitely able to come, and then book accommodation for that, once money is sent to me (Unless they can take money at the desk, on the day, which is obviously preferrable because then I won't steal your money). Anyone realising that they are coming after that will have to book accommodation on their own and possibly suffer slightly higher prices for rooms that hold less people.

EDIT: I'm changing the dates, "officially" to the 14th-15th, because I just realised that it's kind of silly not to, now that quite a few people have agreed, and it does seem like a better idea all around. If anyone has a problem with this, let me know.

Oh shit! Yeah, I just realised that *Embarrassed*. I changed it to make it clearer.

On a more serious note, because we have been stickied, and it's probably best not to abuse that by making this into some kind of chat thread:

I need some things from all of you, over the next couple of weeks. I'll likely be confirming by PM closer to the date, but I'd just like to get some stuff down in the thread, next to each person's name in the OP. So, can everyone on the list (And if you're not on the list, but will be coming, tell me) give me the following information:

    1. Whether you think it likely that you'll be coming (ie. You'll definitely be there unless something else comes up that you can't avoid)
    2. Your age. Some hostels have a problem with age, and it'd be nice to know in advance for organisational purposes.
    3. Whether or not you NEED accommodation. Some people are coming in because their relatives will be in London, or they already live in London, so some people may not need to stay in a hotel.

That's all I can think of right now. If anyone else can think of something else I need from each person, I'm all ears.

EDIT: Just realised a third thing I need to know from you, so I added it to the list above as number 3.

Also, people who are coming, PM me your mobile numbers closer to the date, I'll request it again later, but I'll do what I did last year: Collect numbers, then mass text everybody the night before with everyone's numbers. It means we have a means of contacting anybody if they get lost, and works better than a buddy system.

Ziggymon: I assume you will almost definitely be attending?

EDIT: I'm a little anal when it comes to lists and collections and whatnot. You'll notice, if you read the OP (And you probably should. It changes somewhat every now and again) that I've started updating the list of people who are coming with details of their visit. I'll be your best friend in the world (All of you) if you help me fill out the details on the list. I'm currently putting in notes for your age, whether or not you're coming, your accommodation needs, and if you're bringing any friends. The best way to organise something like this is to be... well, organised.

Change of date is not a problem for me. I'm gonna book my ticket over then next few days. I may be inviting a mate who lurks here, I'll find out for sure as soon as I can. Hostel sounds like the best option, and my experience of hostels is that the cheaper the hostel the better the time had by all.

Right, I got a phone call today saying that I have a new job, subject to background checks. The start date for said new job is the 7th of July, which the astute among you may notice is a Saturday. I know that the offices in which I will (hopefully) be working only actually do business on weekdays, but I'll be in training for at least three months, which it's possible they do on weekends.

As such, I now can't say for certain whether I'll be available on the dates chosen, or whether I'll have the cash for such a trip. So, to avoid fucking up any arrangements you guys want to make for accomodation and such (which I'll also need), I've decided that for now I'm changing my status to "probably not coming." If the stars align and the Gods are generous, I still might be able to get down for the weekend, but it's probably better if I make my own arrangements for accomodation nearer the time.

tl;dr: I'm probably not coming, but with a bit of luck I might be able to, and I won't know for certain until pretty much the last minute. Don't count me when planning accom, etc.

    For the record, I'm 24.
