So based on the release calendar for Neo Visions in JP and the producer's statement about not returning to the neglected/skipped content until November, the next ~3 months of releases will look something like this:
Of those, there are exactly three banners I have any interest in pulling on, assuming no other GLEX changes/new banners happen between now and then. Honestly this is probably my second biggest issue with the NV era (first being the lack of safety net/step-ups) - the banners are just re-hashes of the CG units or ones from the 7* era with the biggest hype. We're getting our squintillionth Rain, 4th(?) Akstar, 3rd Sol, 3rd Firion, 3rd Physalis, etc. I really wish they'd have taken the time to spotlight some other popular units/characters that have gotten far less attention. I genuinely like Rain as a character but, man. Maybe a version of Shadow that's actually good/viable or, if we absolutely must lean into the FFBE cast, how about Vlad as a unit? The main antagonist of S2 seems like a pretty solid choice to me.
I feel like I'll only really pull for GLEX NVs. Like, as is, NV Sol and maybe NV Physalis interest me for things from JP. I am very intrigued by NV Elena/Yoshikiri. I'm hoping we get something awesome for Halloween.

Honestly, Vlad kinda signified the point where the S2 plot completely fell apart into absolute nonsense that didn't work with two seconds of thought, so I'm okay with chucking him into the bin!
But yeah, the NV thing is kind of a reprise of the 7* thing, only more so, so the fact that apparently we're basically going to be doing the exact same top characters we already did but this time shinier is pretty meh.
As far as NV units go, I'm more interested in older units that will awaken to NV, since pulling for any new NV character would probably eat all of my resources since there's no step up guarantees. A banner would have to be super exciting for me to pull on for me to risk my F2P Lapis on pulling for an NV unit.
Yeah, as usual Alim has been pretty shit with the unit mechanics. And besides Summer Fina/Daisy, they're all DPS units. But the power creep has also slowed down to the usual levels again, so like... pick a favourite out of the list and that's really the only one you need (besides Summer Fina/Daisy maybe, because pre-emptive tank, woo). And if you don't like any of them, who cares because the 5*-base NV units are just as good if not better than some in the DPS department.
As usual, the GLEX units will save us. Hoard for Elena and then on to Halloween units.

Hurray, I finally found the answer to my last Neo Visions/Vision Card question.
So the +Stats on the Vision Card count as actual base stats on the unit.
So like Cloud's Mad Dash gives +100 ATK at level 10. That +100 ATK will get multiplied by your regular 400% ATK boost from gear and whatever in-battle ATK buff you apply to the unit.
It won't get multiplied by equipment ATK-% though; the vision card is not a piece of equipment in that regard.
Ok, so, I won't have an EX+2 NV Tifa right away, because it will be smarter to have one EX+1 NV Tifa and a base form NV Tifa for the MK event. Having 600% Bonus by myself sounds really nice, and then when the event is over I can just break down the extra NV Tifa for materials to get my main Tifa to EX+2. The rainbows aren't that implausible; double and triple rainbows are actually going to be a "thing" now with an 8% rate on them.

I'm tempted to save all of the NV/5* EX tickets I got from Slots for when Elena is released. I got Irvine, Elfreeda #6, and Epsilon Nichol from the guaranteed pulls and regular EX tickets.
Set up NV Tifa and NV Cloud on my event tabs for y'all. I wish there was a button for "just copy the goddamn equipment from base form" on the Shift thing.
Also, I wonder if I should have evolved my other Tifa to NV instead of getting this one to +1 immediately. More MK currency and stuff.

All these free summons have finally caught up to me. I hadn't been merging my units since we got that big spike in unit slots a little bit back.
I am now at 1300-something of 1250 units, womp womp.
I'll be setting up my Cloud and Tifa later on today. Gonna be silly doing an MK event with 900% bonus just from my own units. Also, pretty happy to be getting Cloud's Vision Card at EX+1, it's a damn good ATK card.

That gets her to 7* with STMR, but where do you get the rest of the NV awakening materials for her? I honestly haven't had time to do much digging since I'm working.

Despite not being announced, the TDH cap is indeed up to 400% like in JP. Additionally, there's an AWAKEN UNIT button on the enhancement screen! No more backing out to awaken! QoL!

Apparently the trials for more SOON medals give thousands of medals, so we might actually get enough to buy out the shop. You buy the shards in batches of 5, so you get 75 total shards when you buy them all. That's how I NV'd and EX+1'd my Tifa.

If you have 1 full STMR Tifa, get second one for free from the event. Buy the 75 shards that are up for grabs. Buy two of the ascension pearls.
NV awaken (not +1, just regular NV awaken) both of them for 25 each.
Do the event, when it is over, convert the second NV Tifa to get 50 shards back. Use those shards to EX+1 the remaining Tifa. You'll be 25 shards extra on your way to EX+2.
The LGD level is kind of annoying. The final fight is just chonky enough that I can't just hit Repeat, since it's three dudes and Tifa is mostly single target.
