Con Save vs 13 dc, or get shoved ten feet and take full damage. Half damage on a save, no shove, any unsecured objects are going flying - would argue since this thing is missing a foot, it should have disadvatange on the save!). She also takes a moment to resize her monkey, and reattach it to her staff (Side note, as loong as her monkeys being widled by her/attached to her staff, it'll benefit from enhanced arcane focus too)

Gear joins Hado and Baber on the higher ground. "I think i could hit that other demon from here. Want me to try take it out?" ((OOC: she's talking about d3. 120ft range gives you a lot of options <.<))
Gear pauses. "Actually. There's a thing - Avad sent someone after us. I believe it's the same figure i saw vanish. But he said for it to kill us before the demons got to us. It's not done that. Why? We're tough, but... we've been a brawl this long, there has to have been openings for it to strike us down during the brawl. I wonder if we can negotiate with it, whatever it is. i wonder if we should"
"Anyway. Where too next? We cant exactly stay here, and Avad is in our home. We need to end his threat, before he tries more of whateer the fuck he's up to"
"My guess is whoever it is is waiting for us near wherever there's a way out of this hell. I figure we oughta check out that big stone across the lava over there, and maybe pop into that structure that's along the way and see what's what. If it looks like it's a big complex place we can leave it for later and check out the monolith first."

Hado casts Goodberry! A vine sprouts from the base of his spellcasting focus and ten plump grapes sprout rapidly from it. He plucks off four and eats them, then offers the rest to Baber and Gear.
"Mpfh. I agree, let's try to find out how we get out of here. Gear, don't you have a grappling hook we can use to cross that skeleton?"
Gear looks a bit doubtful. "I do, but i built it mostly to move myself around. It's a one person deal more than anything... I do have that wand though, the forst one? maybe we can cool the lava enough to cross safely."
By the looks of things it’s a beast-like shape. You see a long skull half buried across the other side. A long series of tail bones curves towards you. Crossing it may require a few skill checks, which can be better or worse depending on how you tackle it.
Gear could launch herself into the catacombs by latching onto a grotesque* made from bones and mud above an archway. Looks like the whole place is bone, mud and rocks—not much materials in this gouge.
You can see a demon milling about on the other side, plus some spiders and worm-like fiends near the large monolith.
*grotesques are just a sort of gargoyle designed to to be a caricature of someone, and aren’t generally water spouts, which gargoyles usually are.
"if I launch myself across, I can start breaking with the other demons and try and hold while you two cross..." Gear ponders for a moment. "I might even be able to get the drop on them if I use my Cape in mid air"
"I have an easier way to cross for myself. Hado will still need to cross normally, however, so I'll go across and guard that end of the skeleton so nothing attacks him while he goes over."
While you consider your options the distant growls and moaning of demons grows louder. A cloud of ash still drifts above from the explosion, visible for miles around.
One hour, real time, until ten more demons arrive to investigate.
((OKay, i'mma go for it and do the crossbow thing. Help me out with the rules here, Endless! I'll need to stow my staff to hold my and fire my crossbow. So putting it away and getting out my staff again to use it for blasting is goign to be n action, if i remember things right. Do i need to make a dex check to do the shot with the crossbow?
Basically, as it is in my head... Gear is going to use the corssbow and reel herself in. That's one set of actions. She'll activate her featehrfall in mid air so she can bypass the acrobatics check and land safely + silently, assuming that's cool. Once she's landed, she'll stow her crossbow, pull out her staff, and start combat vs demon 3, hopefully getting a surprised round.
Let me know what checks i need to make and in what order, and i'll roll it out/describe it!))
Yep! You’ll stow your stuff, then draw the crossbow. You’re not in combat so you just do that.
The rules are:
“As an action, when you aim and pull the trigger the rope is launched and the claw grips onto the first available protruding object in range.
As a bonus action, you may release the trigger to reel yourself in to the claw. You must succeed a DC 13 Dexterity (Acrobatics) check or tumble where you land, becoming prone, or clinging on from where the claw detached.”
I’ll allow the use of Feather Fall to lighten and quieten your landing, but the Acrobatics check still needs to be done. Regardless of how low you roll Feather Fall will be a great help to you.
Gear rejiggers her stuff, checks that her little robot monkey is well stowed (It's clutching onto her shoulder with a determined expression. She should name it. maybe Sir Shooty, Demonbane)m, and pulls out her grappling Crossbow. Time to test this baby out! Well, in an actual situtation rahter than the testing she did while making it, which she definitely did. (She didnt.)

With a satisfying sound of tchoo as if fires and a klink when the claw attaches, you tug the line to make sure it sticks. Happy it’ll hold, you release the trigger and zoom off!
You feel the cloak billow on an updraft of its own making, and safely land as the claw unlatches from the grotesque.
You turn as your momentum carries you further, slowly coming to face the hapless demon. You land on one leg on a skull protruding from the catacomb’s floor. Your cloak continues to billow as you stealthy step through the bone covered catacomb.
There’s a staircase spiralling down in the middle of the catacomb, but you’ve got other plans right now.

More demons! Ten of them encircle this area. They’re about 200 feet away from you all, moving on average 15 feet every few seconds while they sniff you out!
Gear quitely stows her crossbow, unstows her staff, gives her monkey a thumbs up and attaches it to the end of the staff... and decides to make this demon's day real, real bad.
(Monkey is on my staff, so is benefting from my Enhanced Arcane Focus currently)

The demon has a moment to hear the slight crunch of bone and attempt to turn... only to have multiple bolts of fire and force slam home into it, blowing off limbs and wings with wild abandon - the final bolt for force hitting it square in the chest and causing the entire thing to comically puff up for .5 seconds before exploding violently.
Gear is currently left wondering if she's going to find out she traumatized the demons in her (hopefully) short time here. she's leaning towards yes.
While Gear is playing cat and mouse with her new demonic friends, Baber walks over to the skeleton bridge and has their echo move across the lava to the other side. They swap places with it, then they have it move to the center of the skeleton to guard, and they ready a rope to throw to Hado once he starts his crossing.
Gear notices the warms and spiders. Which presumably, cotnain more worms. Time to get sneaky on them - she'll attempt to sneak a bit further north, get a clear angle of attack.. and then it's bang bang, you're dead time.

As Hado crosses the skeleton, lava spitting flame between the charred bones... he falls!
But fortunately the druid grips onto a rib, hitching himself back up. Two, then three, the more ashen spectres fly by him—the spirits of slain demons. Where else do slain demons go but the gouge they’re formed on? Above more converge on the skeleton.
The lava flows below him like a river; easily a 60 foot drop.
It’s a struggle, but Hado makes it onto a shoulder blade. He nearly slips, but manages to edge towards the rope Baber slung across.
The white star is roughly where Hado is, and he’s holding one end of a rope. The black star is roughly where Baber is, who’s swinging by the other end!
The huge skeleton can attack out to 10 feet with its bite and claws, and out to 15 feet with a swish of its tail!
The skeleton’s initiative is 1, and it can only move 5 feet per turn, that’s just a fact.
Dust and ash is kicked up as the demon-possessed skeleton thrashes about. It’s blackened legs struggle to pull itself from the lava it lay in for so long, but a lack of speed will be made up for in sheer weight and size.
Across the way the spiders and worms were about to spot you, but you’ve remained hidden within the shade of the catacombs as the skeleton awakened.
You know what, Gear thinks? the skleleton is a Baber and Hado problem right now. Soon it'll be a Gear problem too, but she's not one to throw away a perfectly good ambush
Also dealing with the skeleton is going to be simpler if she's not dealing with spiders and worms trying to eat her.

What you can gather is they’re hardly bound by magic at all. He said to finish you before the demons got to you, and it’s stalling on that order.
