I'll be home in an hour l and I'll just be spamming dungeons all afternoon/evening. So if I am ready for Mythics by then I am absolutely down for stuff, @Kai_San.
Dys on

Hey, I play Dusa. I'm totally down to tank some m0's!
Edit: I'm only like 149 ilevel though
That should be perfect. I am just now 150 after filling in some holes with crafted stuff.
I saw 140-150 ilvl is good for m0 with a coordinated group. It’s likely just slower.
That’s almost a full group then. I think someone else said they would be available in guild earlier. I might be on before 10 so we can get more time in. Depends how long it takes my kid to go to sleep
Edit: just saw dys so I think that might make 5. I forget who said they would be down in addition to trask but either way sounds good. You are just dps right Dys?

We did really well last night. Took some work but got 3 dungeons done. We did a good job getting Dys loot. I think like half the bosses dropped something for him.
I was able to finish off the night getting an offhand from pvp and ranking it up to 171 t match my weapon. Now I’m about 162. Which is fine with me. I need to finish up torghast runs for the week then I am happy.

Yeah, that was a little ridiculous luck on my part.
I legitimately feel bad for getting all of that compared to everyone else.
i got a million items from theater of pain and that place is a joke + has great rogue stuff so 10/10 good instance. also 2 legendary effects unlocked but not the ones I needed, but I wont say no to just having them

It was fun giving you shit for it, but don't feel bad. Sometimes the coin just lands on heads every time.
I'm really enjoying Shadowlands so far. Did my first heroic today and it went well. I think I'm going to enjoy this expansion long term.

Everything about playing this expansion has felt great so far. Like they nailed the feeling of things to do but not being truly forced to do. I wanted to be leveling an alt by now but I still enjoy the moment to moment of playing my priest.
The dungeons are good. The zones are good. The endgame questing is good so far. Doing stuff like world quests is even nice because all the treasures you come across are actually interesting. Like yesterday doing a wq in fae land I found something that let me fly temporarily. That helped me easily get a chest in a tree.
I have a question. I've looked around and did some in-game testing and can't find a way to figure out how this aspect works, in Shadowlands:
Let's say I'm doing Mythic+ runs, in a 5 man, on, say, my monk. There's a tank and a healer, so I'm playing Windwalker.
The tank heads out, and the only available player to fill in is a mage. I switch to Brewmaster and tank for a while. Then our holy paladin leaves, and a blood DK joins. I switch to Mistweaving.
How does the Soulbind/Conduit system handle this? I expected switching specs to give me a new, blank conduit tree, but it testing that in game looks like that is not the case.
Is switching soulbinds a thing you can do easily? Like, can I have one soulbind set up to heal, another set up to tank and another for DPS and easily switch them without returning to the covenant location?
If I have to return to the covenant location, is this a thing I can do multiple times per day?
In M0 you can swap people freely, switch gear freely, change talents freely with the item that let's you. To change soulbinds or conduits you'd have to go to your covenant sanctum, so that eats up time but if your group is fine with it then go for it (but why wouldn't you just have your stuff set up before heading out to begin with?).
In M+, no people can be brought in that were not on the run when the keystone started ticking. If a person leaves it means you are doing the rest with 4. You also cannot swap gear or talents. If you leave the instance to go anywhere the timer still keeps ticking.
Conduits drop as bonus drops (meaning of that boss can drop one for you it could happen even if you get an item from that boss) and they ignore your loot spec (so even if you on a mage for example have your loot spec set to frost you could still get a fire conduit from killing a boss that drops that particular conduit).
Ass far as swapping conduits or paths through a particular soulbind, you can do it a bunch of times per week (i think it's 10), bit every time you learn a new conduit or a higher ilvl of a currently known conduit this count goes up by one (up to the maximum) so swapping in a new better one or an upgrade doesn't punish you. But it does mean there is a limit to swaps if you like using different ones for different types of content and you go back and forth many times a week.
I think you can swap soulbinds freely as much was you want, though you do have to unlock more than one via renown first.
Right, I was talking about a situation where some people are doing multiple M+ runs, and switching people between instances (because people leave and new people want to join up).
If you can freely swap soulbinds, without limit, then the problem is one mostly of annoyance (which Shadowlands has in abundance). Heading back to the convenant room to swap soulbinds if you are changing specs isn't a huge deal.
But I can't find any info on whether or not you can swap soulbinds freely. Does swapping a soulbind leave you with a blank conduit tree that you have to spend the charges on to fill in every time you swap? If so, that's not going to allow for very many swaps per week.

My understanding is that filling in a blank is free (doesn't use up a charge) and whatever you filled in sticks around through the free swaps (like changing specs after you've selected talents). The issue is for those people who want to use the same soulbind (because it's non conduit stuff is mathematically the best) but spec it with some conduits for M+, other conduits for PvP, other conduits for raiding, and other conduits for questing.
Chances are that if you are not top 100 raider or doing high keys (20s and up) or think you want to be, then it's an irrelevant moot point. At least it's the differences are relatively small between the options available. If one is like 50% more damage then that's possibly a problem. There was a lot of nerfing of outliers in late beta precisely for this reason.
Putting in my first conduit very clearly used a charge. It wasn't important at the time, but it used one.
I don't mind setting up 1 soulbind for each spec (as you mentioned, the differences aren't significant unless you're doing very high keys or mythic raids), but I'm concerned that the flexibility that hybrid classes have (swapping roles on the fly.... back when I raided, I'd often switch from DPS to tank... and back... depending on how many tanks were required for each boss) might not be available in this expansion.
Hence my question. We'll have to see if swapping soulbinds is unlimited, and whether or not this leaves us with a blank conduit tree, and whether or not filling in that (blank) tree uses charges.
you can swap from one soulbind dude to another in any rest area; it's only changing the actual conduits that requires a trip back to the hub. You do it from the covenant hub/command table pane
ed: I mean at the moment we only have the one soulbind so it's academic, but in a couple weeks we'll have 2-3 to use
Eat it You Nasty Pig. on
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat

The goal is supposed to be you setup one of each soulbind for a role or desired playstyle (like if you want one for PVe and one for PVP, or one for raids and one for m+)
It does have its limits, but if you get creative you can use the different paths to kind of account for other specs. Unless you want to min max, in which case it could get rough.
This is the fucking funniest thing that's ever happened to me in WoW. Some of you were in gchat when it happened, but I found this just now, 2 hours later.
A 0 minute suspension.
Of particular note is there was one other player present when I summoned the pet, and I got kicked off less than 30 seconds later. No player would have reported me and led to an investigation in that time. The whole process is 100% automated and they big lied.
My personal advice would be don't worry about overlaps multiple people having things is good anyways. diversify the internal economy
Why not look at the guild roster and set it to professions and look at what people have on that. It's how I would always harass people to make me shit. Like when I randomly asked mike to make me bags because I saw his alt was a tailor or whatever.
I've been trying to do that myself. I don't know if it's one of my addons or some actual WoW UI bug but it'll switch back to the normal guild roster after like 20 seconds in the profession view.

this may be difficult to believe but I do not know all the intricacies of what can and cannot be done in the WoW UI

Mine reverts after less than 3 seconds, you're getting generous extra time.
Also mythics tonight??? I love sub in dungeons now that it has a new aoe finisher and I have a decent legendary power for it already so i may play that after all

What power did you get?
master assassin. the 2 best sub ones are from denathrius in raid and a not yet available torghast wing so its probably the best I can do for now
dys and I were in the same heroic and pulling about 3600-3700 in single target last night, idk what is good dps right now but we were blowing the randoms out of the water so hopefully that is good and not just the bar being incredibly low there

Ah makes sense. I am hoping i can get the Torghast one next Tuesday. Master assasin didn't drop for me on M0 and i had to choose my time between finishing all M0s or grinding heroics so i went with M0s. My preference is for the Denathrius one though.

I’m down for mythical around 10 est.
I think as shadow I can do 2.5k dps in aoe sometimes hitting over 3k. But shadow isn’t super good at consistent aoe still.
I do burst like 4K+ for bosses though.
Really starting to dig disc healing however. It felt like shit early on as it just copes with content horribly before gear. But now easily healing things while contributing 1k dps is a great thing. I now have to think if I want to go all in for disc on the leggo first or not. Though I don’t rhink any disc leggos are all that impactful.

Honestly, I think Zay's mount-related luck has far and away topped mine.
Any and all 1% chance raid mounts are currently my bane, and Zay has like all of those.
