This feels like you have a completely different museum than I do and it just drives me bonkers. Like, look at the difference here!



What it feels likes is as if you got the Full Upgraded House from day 1. You'd have the opposite problem of what the start of the game is like, where you just have this giant empty house with nothing to fill it with.

Yeah the empty room is terrible. With the rest of the museum they're smart enough to not build it until you have a fair amount of stuff to put in it. If they were going to have Redd show up so infrequently, they should have had the art gallery start small and expand as you got more art.

I think at some point Leif and kicks will become permanent vendors and hopefully Redd and Gulliver will be more common.

As it stands though if you're an early adopter youre getting screwed by the content drip

Yeah I saw The Bug-off post on my board. Started hoarding some high value bugs in case they come in handy. Anyone know how exactly it will work? For fishing, you had a time limit to catch as many fish as you could. Bugs seem much more random, though, so how will they go about it? Can’t recall what New Leaf did.

Skimming the IGN guide it seems like it's catching bugs within 3 minutes. It didn't mention if friends make the points stack like fishing, but at a guess it should.

What's the deal with shooting stars? Isabelle has never told me there will be a meteor shower and I've seen Celeste twice but I've never seen any shooting stars

I've tried looking for them when it's a clear sky at night but nothing.

I've stopped really looking at other people's islands and stuff because my game just straight up has given me nothing special/to do in the two months I've had it.

There are meteor shower nights, generally about once a month, but mine lined up so that my first one was... two Sundays ago? Isabelle generally notifies you but that can be preempted by other news, such as an islander moving in/out. For me, my sole event wasn't announced, but talking to villagers they mentioned it

It's hard to miss in the evenings, there's a lot of twinkle sounds

Other than that, there are shooting stars occasionally on clear nights. If you hear a strange twinkle sound, look up. There's usually 5 shooting stars in the same minute (even on these 'occasional' nights

Celeste visits on both sorts of evenings

One tip I would give about shooting stars, is walk around at night empty-handed. I've lost count of the amount of times I heard a twinkle, tilted the cameras up, and hit A to get my sweet sweet star reward, only to fire my catapult instead.

I've opened to friends as I head out for an afternoon walk. Nothing much going around in town though I have the plum Screen, reddish brown Rattan Bed and a few random things for touching

I still have about fifteen things to reorder for the big weekly touchathon so it's looking like Friday-Saturday after bugoff/Sunday for touchtimes

So heres an odd thing my gold roses are spawning by black roses I haven't watered. It's been very confusing

Have you been open? Maybe someone watered them. There is also a flower vandal going around planting flowers on peoples’ island. Could be that.

The "gold" flag gets triggered on the flower directly in front of you when you water with a gold can. And it stays there until it produces a gold (e.g. you can water it regular water/let it get rained on up until it spawns gold)! So that may be what happened

Wait wait wait. So I need to directly water every single black rose, and not Just get them wet? The gold can reaches like 6 flowers, so I’ve just been doing that. Man.

Yes, but if you do it while it’s actively raining, it doesn’t use up any durability on your gold can

Redd is finally here so I’m going to be doing some minor time traveling so I can have more than two pieces of art in my museum!

Okay I did it three times and got five new pieces of art. I think I'll just doing it a couple of times like that every time Redd shows up so it goes a little faster.

I am now opening Skull Land. Redd is selling a fake Mona Lisa and a real Academic painting I don't need. Also a very colorful street organ.

Repose is open for the afternoon as I go for a walk. A pink plastic pool and a couple of gray and reddish brown rattan items out for touching. Frita (hot dog big sis) is in boxes tomorrow but I'll mention that again tomorrow.

5-6 is about all I can stomach because of Isabelle

Still there's only about 50 arts so it wont be to bad.

Does that time just vary and I happened to get very quick turnaround on the others?

Its completely random could be one day could be 30.

I have finally started putting down paths on my island. Also, I’ve put a lot of time and effort into flowers and a green mum just popped up randomly at the same time as my carefully curated, long awaited planned green mum. I hope that happens with my roses too!!
