Hives? What the hell are these things? [CURED]

So I took a shower a minute ago and when I took my shirt off I noticed all these red/pink spots on my shoulders and upper chest. They're also on my back and a couple on my thighs. They itch slightly, I hadn't really thought it out of the ordinary before the shower...just normal random itches.

Hives? I don't know what they could be an allergic reaction to if they are. I woke up at noon and just had some hot dogs about two hours ago with mustard, brand new hot dogs...I've had them before. Last meal I had before that was a reuben last night, normal again.

Last time I had something like this was when I ate Polenta...I'm not allergic to other corn products.

Will Benadryl help? What should I do?

Gonna research Google and the like now...thought I'd get this out here to see what the forum populace has to say.

Have you been out in any rural areas, lately?

    Could be poison oak/ivy/sumac.

Oh god. When I was younger, me and my friends wanted to burn the Harry Potter books.

    Then I moved to Georgia.

I used to get something similar when coming out of the shower, same places too. I think it was just the skin being irritated. Taking showers that arent as hot, and not scrubbing/drying as roughly solved it.

I have no idea what it was but they've started to fade and don't itch any more.

    Strange stuff.
