The rest of the suggestions are good for variety, but there is a LOT you can get out of just burpees, push ups and jump rope too.

Everyone's dope running progress reminds me of the story I heard, some NPR dude who was into running chatting with another NPR commentor who was trying yet again to get into it.
"So how far do you run?"
"Well the trail near my house is 2 miles."
"Do you try to run the whole thing?"
"Well of course, feels like I fail if I don't"
    "How does that go?"
"Terribly and I'm super sore the next day"
"Why in the WORLD would you think you can just go run two miles? Walk! Try to run a little bit more next week! You are setting yourself up for failure with this entirely made up standard"

It's become a refrain for my wife and I when we get it in our heads we should already be good at something. "What in the world makes you think you should already be good at this?"

This week I finally decided I really should be trying to take better care of myself, so the past couple mornings I've been waking up at 7 and hopping on the treadmill and watching an episode of DBZ while I do a brisk walk. Eventually maybe I'll progress to jogging, but right now I'm so out of shape a 24-minute fast walk gets me sweaty enough...

Also, my doctor prescribed me wellbutrin to help with my problem focusing on stuff. I also have a referral to a psychiatrist to get evaluated for ADHD! Maybe I can finally get a formal diagnosis!

    God

Dragon Ball Z is the perfect workout motivation show and I have no idea how I never considered this before

I mostly use it because it's a good show that keeps my attention enough but not enough to where I can't also focus on running. Like I'm not itching to sit down and just focus on just that. Goku's still gonna take like 20 episodes to heal. Frieza still has like seven more forms to go.

Neat, looks like I can do a lot of stuff even with my miniscule space. Thanks for the suggestions, guys, I really appreciate it.

Marty: The future, it's where you're going?
Doc: That's right, twenty five years into the future. I've always dreamed on seeing the future, looking beyond my years, seeing the progress of mankind. I'll also be able to see who wins the next twenty-five world series.

I went for a walk and somehow got lost going through an empty field and had to clamber through a barbed wire fence, whereupon I tore my shorts and stepped in a patch of stinging nettles. Later my 3 year old nephew told me "You've got a baddie" which was his adorable way of telling me I'd sliced my leg open. Fortunately it wasn't painful because I was distracted by the nettle sting.

I've got ring fit but I never use it because no television I have has a good area in front of it to do it, and doing it on the switch's screen is a miserable experience.

Anyway, while I haven’t got back into an exercise routine yet I’m finally getting around to making appointments and whatnot.

Got an eye appointment for the kids and me on Friday (it’s a place in a mall in the next city over because hardly anywhere accepts my insurance, but it has good ratings? So, hopefully they’re decent...)

Got a dental appointment next month

Getting Niko a new x-ray so hopefully we can get his adenoids removed

If you have a Switch and can find Ring Fit, I highly recommend it.

Ring Fit is a shockingly good workout - I'm at level 20 of 30 on the strength settings and the strength training exercises can have me out of breath by the time I've run a few courses

It also motivated me after a month of not having much energy to work out/putting exercise on pause, to start regularly working out every other day, then to having daily rotating active/restorative workouts and getting an indoor spin bike to use Peloton with

Ring Fit is a really easy way to slip back into an exercise regimen if you've needed some help getting back there
