Maybe that's what happened then. But if I pick up a product in store and scan the barcode with the app it should give me the store price... Right?

It might show the online price... Which they now use the annoying price adjustment. Aka selling for way over MSRP if it suits them.

Sorry for the double post again, but wanted to see if anybody wanted the Walmart Netflix Soundwave. Seems Pulse is putting up some (for Premium Members right now).

Edit: Wow, sold out in 45 minutes.

I hope they do that with Bumblebee. Doing an entire line of G1 homages and having Bumblebee be a store exclusive was a mistake, IMO.

Sorry for the double post. Saw this on the Transformers Site I visit. Seems that Hasbro is bringing out some of the original Beast Wars Transformers. So far they show Megatron, Optimus Primal, Cheetor and Rattrap.

    https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/03/11/vintage-beast-wars-action-figure-line-revealed-for-2021-429867

Here are the links for the Walmart listing on three of them:
    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Transformers/662391149
    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Transformers/791542741
    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Transformers/632803916
Huh! That's interesting. Beast Wars is very much "my" Transformers (I was the right age to get into it, I started watching it soon after it started airing, I got Rattrap around the time the first wave hit and then kept getting those toys big-time throughout the line's lifetime, etc), and I still have a number of those toys. I did decide to throw out Cheetor's gut-gun, though - it's a water-squirting gun with a soft plastic reservoir that you squeeze to draw water in/squirt it back out, and the soft plastic was getting sticky and icky. Is it worth getting this reissue Cheetor just to get a replacement gun? I feel like I'd rather keep the original Cheetor, for sentimental value, and I don't feel the need to keep two Cheetors. Probably not a very wise financial move.

My MOTU wave 3 just arrived! Zodac's head is weird, it sits far down on his neck, I may fix that at some point. Otherwise they're great. I didn't have Mer-Man back in the day so I'm pretty excited to have him. Roboto's gears and mouth move when you turn his waist and he has three different hands.

Man, I should not look on eBay to see how much things sell for.

This MLP thingy I have in its box? I see it 3 times on ebay: One with just the figures for $20 or so, one sold for "Best offer" but listed for $110, and one ongoing for $299 or something insane.

This is what makes me hesitate on getting rid of things.

You never really know what will pop off later. I got rid of a ton of pokemon cards when I moved, i got back into it in 2013-2015 and then remembered why I stopped because I had boxes of them laying around. Now some of those cards in those sets are swelling in price, but there was no way to know the pokebubble would go nuts 5 years later thanks to a pandemic making everyone at home go collectible crazy

Yeah, but I just.. can't keep stuff around. At least not as I have it now. It's not sustainable. And I don't see myself buying a house for another year or more...

    DFwpCunh.jpg

    Animated Prowl.

Put simply, Transformers Animated is my favorite Transformers series. It's one of only a handful I have watched all the way through. The only toys I'm missing from it are a couple Japan-only releases. And I will NEVER be selling anything in this line. If I had to get rid of all my Transformers right now, the Animated line (and the Titans) would be what I kept.

I believe this is the basic version of Prowl, without his Samurai armor (from when he got addicted to upgrades). The point of the show was to make toys that were accurate in both robot and toy form. This was also back when they would do things other than G1 inspired molds. They weren't always perfect, but they are mine.

    hY9umEnh.jpg

GI Joe Sigma Six 2.5" glider dude (I think this is Duke)

I have the glider too. The Sigma Six line was made of 8" tall action figures with TONS of items and articulation for the time. Again, a very articulated, stylized toy line. But with 8" figures, it's very hard to make vehicles. So they made 2.5" scale figures for the playsets and vehicles, of which I have quite a few as well.

    g0UhBodh.jpg

    Energon Megatron

For all intents and purposes, this is Galvatron. I think it was even called Galvatron in Japan! Basically, Armada Megs died and Unicron revived him in this form. He uses his old body as a cannon on his arm, which I believe I've misplaced. The Energon line had 2 gimmicks - the Autobots would do combining gimmicks, and the Decepticons would have clear/energon parts and fold out bits.

    bxQfDcrh.jpg

    Robots in Disguise Scourge (trailer)

RID Scourge was the first real mass produced "Nemesis Prime." This particular model is a repaint of G2 "Laser" Optimus, with metallic chrome and black and teal and all sorts of kickass stuff. I have the cab around somewhere, but the trailer has been floating around for a bit. SO many missiles, weapons, and all sorts of things inside. I don't want to think about if the air launch missile still works.

    TMTsTVlh.jpg

Animated Megatron and Shadow Blade Megatron. Like I said, ALL the Animated toys. :D Megs here has one big fault, and it's his knees are permanently bowed inwards due to his transformation. Otherwise he is a very kickass Osprey-like helicopter with a giant-ass cannon under his cockpit. That's right, a Megatron that IS NOT A TANK! AND FITS THE DECEPTICON FLYING THEME!

I lost the missile of one of these a while ago, and taking these pics I need to find Shadow Blade's cannon. I love that these suckers actually interact with the Headmaster accessory, where they can be taken over and get different voice clips.

    Vqjqh2sh.jpg

    Transformers 2007 Bumblebee

... I saw I had this and instantly realized I'm gonna be selling or getting rid of this. While Bumblebee is one of the better Bayformers figs... well, these days I have Masterpiece Bumblebee, so... why bother? The gimmick on this toyline was transforming weapons. His "Cannon" can flip around and becomes a short blade.

    T8SzLmMh.jpg

    Animated Shockwave

Now here's your H-tank! But there's so much more to this figure, and why I own 2 of them... :D I won't spoil the surprise though.

    EBONzzOh.jpg

Lego Ultra Agents - Agent Stealth Patrol

If I were to be forced to keep 1 line of Lego, it would be Ultra Agents. This is just this cool Tron-like fusion of supervillains and heroes and all the neon blue! This one has a very cool system that uses silicon bands to replicate independent suspension. I like the touch of the shocks on the inside of the wheels. I also like that the silicone bands don't break down like rubber ones might.

    Pn3rpSoh.jpg

    Armada Jetfire

MONSTER TRUCK PRIME'S PANTS! I didn't get much of Armada because I didn't have a stable job at the time, and a lot of the toys didn't appeal to me. Also I hadn't gotten a credit card yet. >.> But I had to have Optimus and his friends here. The gimmick of Armada was the introduction of Mini-con partners - little figures that interacted with 5mm posts and would often trigger buttons and other gimmicks. In this case, his minicon is the front landing gear.

    LuDSXO7h.jpg

    Cybertron Metroplex

While I think I tried to collect all of Energon, Cybertron is the one I think I finally succeeded to get the whole line for. Metroplex, or Giant Convoy in Japan, was this mammoth construction unit that was super tall and much bigger than most transformers at the time. This was accomplished... through some very lanky legs that I've compressed down here. The alt mode is a cybertronian take on one of those giant mining vehicles. The weapon is fantastic and fun to play with. The cybertron key unlocks it to play sounds and create a beam weapon. I never liked that Hasbro only painted one side of the staff gold, so my first attempt at using a gold sharpie was used to try and paint the other side. I'd do things quite differently today.

OMG, I can almost see a walkway to my board games! Like... it feels like progress! Just don't look under my sorting/cleaning table right now... I need to get things into specific bins by toy type / set.

    LYJbLbtl.jpg

    Figment from EPCOT center, 1994

This is one of my most cherished figures. When I was 12, my aunt took me to Walt Disney World for a week. Magic Kingdom was meh, but I was entranced by EPCOT. This Figment was my aunt's merchandise (I picked out the Power Rangers White Tigerzord, because Tony and Power Rangers, natch).

A couple years ago, during a random conversation with my aunt and her future (not immediate) mortality, I mentioned how much this Figment meant to me. So.. she gifted it to me as a Christmas gift. The rationale was simple: She wanted to see me enjoy it and be happy with it before she passed, instead of waiting till after. It's browned from cigarette smoke over 20 years, it doesn't sit all that great.. but I don't care. I do not care. I love this plushie, and I try to keep it someplace prominent.

    1xEtpMNl.jpg

Revenge of the Fallen - Leader Optimus Prime

I own WAY too many representations of the Bayformers Optimus Prime. This is mostly a result of them constantly coming out with cooler versions, but.. still! These need to go.

This particular one was the v2 mold. Completely redone from the v1, its big thing was that it could interface with ROTF Jetfire. I love the concept behind ROTF Jetfire, but I do not like the implementation. Which sucks, because it means I have a lot of versions of him.

This mold would get redone slightly for Dark of the Moon - turning his fuel tanks into a bad-ass cannon and redoing his abs.

    k7EAC06h.jpg

    Perfect Effect Jetforce Revive Commander

This is my only 100% 3rd party fig. I have upgrades for others, but this guy.. man. He was my office decoration for quite a while. As I said, I have a lot of versions of Bayformers Optimus Prime. Honestly, it is because I love wings. Any model that has a kickass jetpack/wingsuit will definitely get my attention. And this was just a really, REALLY well realized one. While inspired by ROTF, it also has a ton of G1 influences. I could frankly get rid of all my other Bayformers Optimus Prime molds and be happy with this one.

    6phuYxjl.jpg

    Micro Machines Kashyyyk Assault

In that earlier dump, I posted the Invisible Hand playset. Well, here's the Juggernaut one. Huh.. ebay has them for $100 in box. I REALLY need to stop looking at old toy sales prices.

Apparently this is where I stored all the little minifigures for the sets. I don't think I ever had the 3rd one, the Tantive IV. But I do appear to have some other figurines that I'd need to track down where they are from.

    05JJCC8l.jpg

Dark of the Moon Jetpack Optimus Prime (TRU Exclusive)

    Yeeaaaaaaahhhhh.....

Big wings, giant guns, and that v3 mold with the special cannon. Only released in the US in this form, and as a TRU exclusive.

    I have a problem.

    60nmM4il.jpg

    Transformers The Movie Optimus Prime

I'm gonna go hide under a table now...

So the v1 version of this figure is a lot more stable and much less movie accurate, because the toy manufacturers had no flippin clue how to make toys that matched what ILM came up with... and of course the CGI wasn't finalized on the transformations until right before the movie was released. That's why the Studio Series is so cool - it actually does the movie designs justice (depending on the quality of the source material).

Again, gimmick of this first line was auto transforming. There's a bit of a gear mechanism in this that causes his pecs to flex or transform or something, and his cannon would flip around his wrist.

    fM5qnSPl.jpg

World of Warcraft: Korg Highmoon, Tauren Druid

World of Warcraft had a huge impact on my life. As a result, I collected as many of the DC Unlimited statues they put out as possible. This is the one I typically have on prominent display, but they take up SO MUCH ROOM. And what's worse, this one is too heavy for its base, so it'll tip over over time. I've kept the box for these big deluxe figures, so he's back in his box for now. But I want to show these off... though many have broken over the years due to being fragile. The gnome warrior in particular is not worth showing.

    kajpLmcl.jpg

    Universe Repugnus

A repaint of a Beast Wars figure. Just kind of there. I have the wings/claw unit that does attacks and such, just.. not sure where it is.

I think I am dusted/cleaning out for today, but... I feel like I made a shit-ton of progress! This has been fun.

    6qtXwIfl.jpg

Masterpiece MP-10 Optimus Prime (TRU Edition)

I'm so glad I found this. I swear I got the only one in town. This is the 2.0 version of Optimus Prime -- in scale with the later Masterpiece figures, mostly plastic, and with a fully realized trailer. Awesome articulation and great detail.

    4mYAcJ2l.jpg

    Animated Ultra Magnus

Man... remember when Ultra Magnus wasn't always a repaint of Optimus Prime, and wasn't always a car hauler? I remember.. very fondly.

In Animated, Optimus Prime was an unproven space bridge construction foreman who was NOT a warrior. Comparatively, Ultra Magnus WAS. The head of the Autobot's elite squad, he was dismissive of the Decepticon threat, but was still a force to be reckoned with. His alt mode is basically this massive military weapons vehicle, and he has all these great fold-out cannons and stuff. I don't even have them all deployed in this picture!

    Vmbp75Rl.jpg

G.I. Joe Sigma Six HISS Tank

Another in the 2.5" line. Slight re-imaginings of the classic with a lot of modularity and play features was the main thing about this line. This HISS can have its cockpit up or down, and the back can unfold into an armor bunker and a rotating turret. All those missiles fire.. you know, back when Hasbro would actually put halfway decent springs in toys?

    TtDvAujl.jpg

Revenge of the Fallen (I think) Elita-1

This is another "Regret it from the moment I got it" toy. At the time, there weren't many versions of Arcee, Elita-1, or Chromia out there. And the rumor was that they were supposed to become a combiner. And I love combiners! So I got this, and Arcee, and then it became obvious that despite engineering for it, they never designed the 3rd piece - Chromia was a repaint of Elita-1. And.. well.. it's just a ball of tortured pain. I know they re-did all 3 in Studio Series (appropriately scaled), but I don't know if they ever combined. But still.. not my favorites.

    wvwaHx9l.jpg

    Armada Optimus Prime

"Monster Truck" Prime. Hoo boy was this an awesome take on the figure. Very chunky, very giant... and very little posability. See, the cab can become its own robot, but it also becomes the upper torso for a Super mode that uses the trailer/base. What's more, it auto-transforms using infra-red signals! Lots of mini-con ports and all that too. This is the part that can be put on top of Jetfire and combined with Overload to make an absolutely mammoth Prime.

... There's a 3rd party take on this figure out there now that I am kind of eyeing out of the corner of my eye. Much better articulation, much better realization of what this guy was going for... but also some fragility issues and QC problems. Still, if the rumors are true and they are doing Jetfire and Overload... I might hop on that.

    66lLobFl.jpg

    Combiner Wars Devastator

Devastator was one of my favorite toys as a kid, even if I could never figure out how to transform him properly. So of course I picked up one when Hasbro did one a few years back. This is the standard version, which is the weakest of the 3 -- There is an SDCC version with a different head sculpt and better paint applications, and the Takara-Tomy version re-engineered the limbs of the individual Constructicons to actually be worth a damn. You know, because safety laws are different over there.

If I have one regret in my collecting life these days, it's that I never got an upgrade kit for this sucker. Over the years it has become more and more obvious that he needs one, just to fill out his arms and a few other places. I'm hoping that because Hasbro re-issued him in the last few months, that DNA Designs will re-issue their upgrade pack.

    M33NbOml.jpg

    AntiMatter's Ocean Hideout

The final big climactic setpiece of Ultra Agents, the villain AntiMatter was based on this old oil derrick and was opening portals to do all sorts of nasty stuff. Unfortunately, my frequent cleaning attempts have left this guy a little disassembled and scattered to the winds. I have all the pieces, as it was released after I moved into this apartment. They just aren't all here right now. Hell, a big chunk of this exercise is working on trying to reunite all the pieces.

I cannot believe how dusty this was. There must be something about Lego that causes it to collect dust at a rate much higher than other toys. Luckily it all came off quickly, but... just... WTF?

And with that, I've hit another milestone that is super important to me: The walkway to my balcony is (mostly) clear!

    8EvOB1rh.jpg

There are 3 bins at my feet that need to be sorted, inventoried, and all that. And I need to organize all the stuff I've taken photos of and get it tucked away. But to have floor space where I'm not worried about tripping on things is HUGE.

It also means I might be able to tackle that table in the back there....

    Edit: Holy shit I vacuumed!

I feel your pain. I have a spare bedroom where I was storing all my shit in various states of boxed or opened. However, my girlfriend is moving in this month, and she's an artist, so she needs a room for all her art stuff.

I've spent days packing up everything in there to completely clear that room out. It is insane how much shit I have. It's awful. I guess it's easy to not really grasp it when you have a house to yourself, but now with her moving in, it's really making me see how out of control it is. Not financially, thankfully, but just space-wise. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I have a big garage, but I doubt it's wise to keep much of this stuff out there, especially considering I'm in Florida. Right now, my computer room is completely filled with boxes.

I've been wanting to purge/sell a lot of my collection for.. well.. years. I've been chipping away at it throughout 2020, actually donating stuff! But at the end of the day, I have to decide if I have attachment to the things or not. And that's why I'm going through this exercise - to see what my collection sparks in me. And in reality, a lot of the pics I've posted so far are just fine as pictures.

    This one is tempting me.
I don't know why, I've already got three of these jets, but the zombie robot aesthetic would make a really cool contrast to the bright blue/green/yellow ones that I have...

I hate those spoiler packs! I don’t feel like gambling on a toy! The Magnus one mostly sucked, Nemesis was cool.

I’m looking around and the rumor is it’s Megatron

Yeah, saw the rumors that it is the T-Rex Megatron and the skeleton guy. Pretty cool and glad I didn't blindly buy it from Pulse (since it is sold out now).

Saw the other Walmart exclusives are now live. Ghostbusters and Star Wars figures look neat. I got the Star Wars ones of course.

Also looks like they found an old supply of the Soundwave/Buzzsaw pack they sold last year (or was that two years ago now?) for $10 more.

Edit: Ok, so I'm wrong and it is the Siege (tank) version of Megatron with altered chest to hold the Allspark. Translucent purple Paleotrex.

Athenor, before I comment on some of the specific toys you posted, I just wanted to say that I'm rooting for you in your decluttering/organization efforts. I have accumulated a lot of Assorted Nerd Crap, and it's always a struggle to let stuff go. A big part is that much of this stuff isn't very easy to replace, which makes it doubly-hard to let go - I keep thinking "If I get rid of this, I'll probably never get to hold it in my hands again". Which isn't a very useful thought, because I'm not holding it in my hands now, it's just sitting on a shelf/in a drawer.

I also admire your attempts to donate or sell the stuff you're letting go. I did a pretty big sweep of old toys last year, and to be perfectly honest... I threw them all out. I felt really guilty doing it, because there's probably a better use for all that stuff, but I just know that when the stars in my mind align and I feel like I can get rid of something, I need to do it immediately. Saying "Oh, I'll just do some reasearch into how best to sell it or pass it on to people" is the equivalent of "I am never getting rid of this", because I know that I will simply never be able to put in the time and effort into that. It's just not going to happen.

I never watched Transformers Animated, but I think it had the best character designs in all of Transformers history, the Holy G1 included. Those exaggerated cartoony features and proportions work so well, and convey so much personality. I think it also had some of the best toys in Transformers history as well. Fun transformations, and it was neat how those chunky, exaggerated body parts folded away into the alt modes. I had this Prowl, and it absolutely bangs.

I don't like most of the Bayverse Transformers designs, and I very much don't like the movies, but I think that toys that came out of them were absolutely excellent. I had both of these Optimuses, and I absolutely loved that although the alt modes were almost the same, and it was two designs of the same character, the transformations were so different. The ROTF one is a much more faithful representation of the character, and is probably objectively better, but I think they both have some really clever transformation elements.

I had a couple of figures from the Unicron Trilogy, but overall the whole thing just kinda passed me by. I dunno, the character design direction never clicked for me, and most of the toys turned me off as well. I do like how chunky this Optimus is, though.

I admittedly haven't looked into the Fans Hobby take on the character, mainly because I'm certain I'm not gonna get him, but I'm surprised to hear about the fragility and QC problems. I thought that Fans Hobby was known for making really solid, robust toys. I watched Sixo's review of the Fans Hobby toy, but to be honest it was long enough ago that I totally forgot whether or not he discussed any QC issues:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4zzbdgLxpU
Warning: Video is over an hour long, because Sixo knows a ton of Transformers history and behind-the-scenes stuff and all sorts of trivia like that, and discusses a lot of the stuff in his videos (one of the reasons I love them), but also his approach is more laid-back and chatty rather than the quick by-the-numbers videos that some reviewers make.

Yeah, I watched Peaugh's review of it and that's where some issues popped up. And yes, I am thinking about getting that version.. because.. again, monster truck prime is cool. :D but more than anything I want to support them to see their take on Overload.

And.. the thought of just dumping things has come to mind quite a bit. I have been able to do that small-scale with stuff and Goodwill, on things I know my friends would not want. But it's still hard...
    :(

Oddly I have to do the same thing with my current collection/hoarding of the newer stuff I recently bought (plain running out of room). I'm thinking of trying to see if there are TF fans here who would want to look at what I'm going to unload? I have no idea how to unload stuff other than dumping at Goodwill (or if still in boxes toy donations). Although I did recently sell my Fortress Maximus and Trypticon to a local collector for cheap.

What I really want is a reputable buyer. A site that A) knows their stuff, B) knows its value, C) won't screw me over on said value, and D) allows bulk shipping/purchasing. I noticed TFSource buys stuff now, and I also occasionally get ads for other toy stores and such.

From what I read TFSource does not fit "C". Plus someone said that they no longer buy stuff but haven't taken it down yet. Sadly from what I can gather your best bet is to do a lot of homework, become an active member on a fan toy site of what you are trying to sell, then put up prices hoping to sell it on their sales pages... Or easier is to put them up on eBay and pay the fees to move it. Also fair warning, in 2022, total sales above $600 are going to be reported to the Feds (unless things change before then).
