At the start I tried to have one villager of each personality on my island. Not anymore and looking now I notice I got no less than 4 lazy villagers, it must be my real personality bleeding into the game.
At last, after almost a year of playing, I am but a single Taurus fragment away from completing all the Zodiac items.
My to-do list is growing shorter and shorter. I hope Nintendo has some big updates. Then again, I did get a year of pleasant playtime out of this game, so I can't complain too loudly.
Ah, I see Egg Season has begun. I heard quite a few horror stories about it last year, but since I didn't own the game yet at that point, I didn't get to experience it for myself. Wonder if anything's different this year.
So, Bunny Day honestly isn't so bad. The worst part was that everyone playing last year was new to the game. We were trying to acquire materials or catch fish, but there were just eggs everywhere, so that was really frustrating for everyone. Nintendo supposedly decreased the spawn rate for eggs halfway through the event last year, I never really noticed a difference though.
They added some new items for this year. Last year we didn't have the limited items available in the seasonal spot in Nook's Cranny. Everything else was the same, though.
...especially since it was overlapping with cherry blossom DIYs. We all wanted those first! (Speaking of, if anyone gets a spare Viewing Lantern DIY, I still need that one)
I'll keep an eye out for you! 🌸 I'm so excited for the cherry blossoms! I just planted 30 more hardwood trees even though I still have a lot of terraforming to do, just so I can enjoy the "cherry blossom" trees while they're around. I wish it lasted for longer than 10 days.
Another thing was the event was longer before, the recent update shortened it to just one week. I didn't find the eggs too bad last year, since they at least sold for a decent amount, especially after crafting with them to double the sell value. But yeah, overlapping with flower viewing season was annoying, thanks to my schedule I only got two of the DIY recipes; unfortunately that aspect is all down to how the calendar works out, as Easter Sunday doesn't have a fixed date.
Redd visited my island last week. He had two genuine works of art for sale - the Mysterious Painting and the Twinkling Painting. They're both always real and I didn't have either of them yet. So because of Redd's infuriating sales policy, I had to pick one and let the other go. So I picked the Mysterious Painting, because I think it's prettier.
Anyway, Redd showed up at my island today as well. This time he only had one genuine work of art for sale - the Twinkling Painting.
I have not seen Redd on my island in 2 months. I really wish they would make it a day of the week and not whatever weird algorithm they use.
When do cherry blossoms start?
That... should be impossible. One of the first major patches made it so all rotating visitors will rotate through more on “schedule.”
In a two week period, you should have ALL nine at least once.
So unless you don’t check every weekday, or you didn’t update your game like 10 months ago... I am skeptic.
Most likely I simply miss him on the few days that I don't play. Just wish I could pin down exactly what day he would be there. I don't care about missing the bug or fish dude--Redd and Kicks are really the only two I look forward to anymore.
