“We remastered Persona 4 Golden, a title previously sold on the PlayStation Vita, and released it for sale on Steam this fiscal year. Because of the game’s critical acclaim and its low selling price, sales were much stronger than expected. We will continue to actively promote porting previously released titles to Steam and new platforms. We are also negotiating with platform holders for new games in the future, and we’re considering ways to sell under favourable conditions for each title. Among them are measures such as preparing PC versions of the titles from the beginning, with multi-platform releases in mind.”

The best part about this is that you didn't need to do anything to earn this, like find the technique or do a quest or anything. Just at some point pretty early in the story you just see this as an option in the special attacks.
Was usually way more worth it to use low cost specials though, like Cutlass Fury
Once you had your own ship that could ship battle FYI. Or at least the one that you were the actual captain of.
And yeah, it was completely invalidated by Vyse's Pirate's Wrath special, which did just as much damage to a single target, which is 99% of bosses, and didn't require you to max out the SP bar to do it. Which in most cases was 4-5 turns of everyone focusing, when Pirate's Wrath could easily done way more often (think every turn by the endgame if you're ok with only Vyse doing anything other than their best Super Sayan 3 Goku impersonation.)
So, finally, I can move something into the beaten column. I've managed a run-through to the end of every game included in Capcom's Beat-Em-Up Bundle, and I have to admit, there were a lot of fun memories in there- I remembered a few of the titles, but at the same time, there were a few I'd never, ever seen before- either they didn't sell cabinets in my area of the States, or they just weren't successful in bringing them over.
But one of the most definite is that there are a few that you can tell were designed to be quarter-munchers at the arcade. Stuff like Final Fight, well, you could beat that one on maybe a buck or two of quarters if you knew what you were doing, but there are a few more where it is incredibly fucking easy to get combo'd to death, and yes, some of the later bosses are cheap and overpowered as hell- in other words, you'd bring twenty bucks of tokens and then wonder if you needed to run and get more, all the while watching as one glance costs you half your power bar and leaves you wide open to be picked up and combo'd into oblivion yet again.
I wish the other Final Fight games had seen a Steam release, and I'll fire this up again to play a few through again or go chase that last cheevo, but honestly... I'd have to call this one kind of "meh" in the end. It's a fun time, but in the end, what's left after you've beaten through a side-scroller beat-em-up? Especially a bunch that were designed to be as grindy as possible to wring out every last token or quarter they could? They start out fun, but by the time you get to the next boss that can knock you out with one little twitch...
Eh, I'll take the victory of moving a game off my backlog. Let's see, what looks good now...?
And I've done it! Not just beaten, but completed. That's a gold medal in all levels, and all achievements gotten.
Deluxe Poutine sounds delicious but it is an absolute bitch to make. Unavoidable attacks in the last area definitely made me a better player, but I maintain that it's lame to give me an upgrade system that allows me to negate those attacks until I suddenly can't because plot. And NorthernLion's and KateLovelyMomo's voice work at the Iron Cook Speedway was great!

I loved Skies but admit the mechanics were a bit flawed when it made more sense to have 2 or 3 other party members just focusing to feed Vyse a steady supply of points to chain fire Pirate's Wrath most of the game.
Persona 3 Portable was my favorite persona game. I really loved the much darker storyline. The characters werent as good as 4 or 5, but the story was amazeballs. If it came out on steam I would 100% try to play through it again.

I didn't pay P3P, but I did play the other two versions and agree. It's like when you hear a band's first album and it's a little raw, but original and fresh. Then later albums are more polished, cleaner, have stronger songs, and are better by any objective standard, but it just doesn't feel the same. I loved P5, but it just doesn't feel as special as P3.
If we do get Persona 3 on PC, put me down for a "Definitive Edition" where it includes FeMC, The Answer, and walking between locations.
I think that the internet has been for years on the path to creating what is essentially an electronic Necronomicon: A collection of blasphemous unrealities so perverse that to even glimpse at its contents, if but for a moment, is to irrevocably forfeit a portion of your sanity.

Persona 3 was my first persona. I went into it blind based solely on the trailer. I beat it but didn't care for it at all. The AI battle system made one fight (I think the final boss) take like 45 minutes cuz one of my guys kept casting thunder on him every turn which healed him.

P3-5 all have different tones. 5 is somewhere between 3's pushing back against doomsday tone and 4's Scooby-Doo with demons and Jungian themes tone and likewise between 3's more epic focus and 4's more grounded one while still having its own sense of direction. 3's setting and plot had a sense of mystique about them that matched up with all the mechanical changes to the series you had to figure out.
For reasons, I picked up The Witcher 3 on Switch. Downgraded it may be but it's a remarkable port that runs well. But it has an extra feature I'd not seen mentioned anywhere - it can actually access cloud saves from Steam or GOG.
Cross-platform saves is something we really need to see more of, I think (especially as a multi-platform player who has a bad habit of picking up favourite games on multiple platforms) and the Switch's nature makes it an ideal machine to be able to do that. I haven't checked yet to see if it can save to the Steam (or indeed GOG) cloud and then that version then being able to pick up where the Switch leaves off, but I don't see why it wouldn't.
It's been days since I wrapped up the game but I still have music from Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass stuck in my head. I wasn't surprised to learn that the dev that made that game has also worked as a composer on others.

I'll throw my recommendation in for the switch pro controller, especially if you're looking for a better dpad. I randomly found out that it would work from a Halo 3 review on the steam store, tried it out in H3 multiplayer and actually did well (playing Halo 3 on PC with a Nintendo controller, 2020 is weird). From there I've tried a couple other games and it makes a great alternative to a 360 or XBONE controller.

Well, I just beat covenant 8 on Monster Train. I'll consider it finished, but I'll revisit every now and again to try my hand at higher covenant levels. Thanks again to @destroyah87 for such an amazing game!

Armello is exactly the kind of game that I'd rather play in the physical realm in person with people I at least like instead of "folks on the internet" or "against a computer that's smarter than you and knows all the rules better than you". It's not that it's a bad game, it's just that I'm an old board game curmudgeon and I likes my board and card games in person.

Oh, and a pair of the 8bitdo SNES looking things for Switch with pro controller stuff minus the HD rumble I guess. Which should I PC Game with, or is there a better option?

The Xbox One controller is the de facto best PC controller in that every game targets it and shows the correct button prompt graphics, but any controller will work thanks to Steam's controller settings feature. I'd go with whatever you want to use, armed with the knowledge that most games only support button graphics for xbox buttons, or occasionally PS4 buttons. This messes me up with Nintendo controllers where the A/B and X/Y buttons are flipped.

You can blame Sega for that. The original Genesis/Mega Drive controller named its 3 face buttons ABC in western left-to-right reading order, whereas Nintendo had named their 2 buttons BA for Japanese right-to-left reading order. Then Sega added the second row of face buttons with XYZ. Things got weird when they cropped it down to four for the Dreamcast (YBAX in clockwise order), which just left us with a reversed version of Nintendo's layout (XABY in clockwise order). MS just lazily copied Sega's button-naming scheme.

Xbox One controller / 360 controller have the most universal support. Can't go wrong getting one of those. The Series X controller coming out later this year should be in the same boat since it's basically the same (except with a share button and slightly adjusted ergonomics). Steam's controller interface means most other controllers fit the bill, though. The touchpad and gyro in the PS4 controller can be used, too, if you go to the effort of setting them up for games.
I dunno, personally I think the Xbox One controller is the best, most ergonomic controller I've ever used. I'll get a Series X controller, too, just because I wanna see how the new ergonomics feel. And maybe an Elite controller down the line when I'm flush with cash.

They have a micro USB ports on them, so you can get a long micro usb cable and leave it plugged in if you want it wired. I personally do it wireless and got like 8 rechargeable batteries on Amazon along with a charger and swap em out as needed.

They have a micro USB ports on them, so you can get a long micro usb cable and leave it plugged in if you want it wired. I personally do it wireless and got like 8 rechargeable batteries on Amazon along with a charger and swap em out as needed.
