Tombstone [chat]

SixSix Caches Tweets in the mainframe cyberhexRegistered User regular
I’ve never been picked to make a chat thread. I’ve waited 8 years for this.

The only thing worth making this thread about is the movie Tombstone.

LWbEuz7l.jpg

What makes Tombstone the best movie?

1. Mustaches. Mustaches everywhere.
2. Peak Kurt Russell.
3. Peak Sam Elliot.
4. Michael Bein playing bad guy Johnny Ringo!
5. Long shots of tough men walking on dusty streets with random fires in the background.
6. Val Kilmer’s accent. What is that?
7. “I’m your Huckelberry”
8. Powers Booth at his apex.
9. BILLY ZANE as the prettiest man who ever lived.
10. It’s broadly factually accurate.
11. Thomas Hayden Church? Yes, please.
12. JASON PRIESTLY.
13. Fat Billy Bob Thornton getting wrecked
14. The benefits of laudanum.
15. It’s the best Wyatt Earp movie.
16. Bill Paxton? Sure thing!

Pick a more rewatchable movie. I’ll wait. Sure, it’s a bit long, but we don’t care.

For years I planned to have this OP ready but assumed there was some bug that meant I’d never get a chat thread. Well, here it is.

can you feel the struggle within?

I've only seen it once, and the only scene I can clearly remember is Val Kilmer spinning a small cup on his finger instead of a revolver.

I was hoping this was freezer pizza [chat]

It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing... And take away its pain.

It's a shame about Val Kilmer (has throat cancer and had a tracheotomy). But he seems in pretty good spirits despite this.

To answer the Rubic's Cube post in the last chat:

Yes, there is actually an algorithm to solve a Rubic's Cube no matter what state it is in.

It once learned how to solve a Rubic's Magic by watching someone do it.

For over seven years, hundreds of thousands of farmworkers with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) and their consumer allies have demanded verifiable protections against sexual violence, forced labor and other human rights abuses in Wendy’s supply chain by joining the Presidential Medal-winning Fair Food Program. All of the largest fast-food companies — McDonald’s, Burger King, Subway, Taco Bell and Chipotle — along with nine other major food retailers, from Whole Foods to Walmart, have joined. All except Wendy’s.

    Incorrect.

The double stack is a perfect addition to a CGC.

You get a CGC as the primary and then as many of the $1 double stacks you require to fill up to give you a deliciously filling and still low priced meal.

You do not, whoever, skip the CGC. That is ludicrous.

The post and and site is built around 2019. I mean I fully realize all food and produce at fast food is basically built on human suffering because that is why it cost what it cost. I don't care what pledges the company makes it is a good chance some if not all your lettuce or tomatoes or onions or meat are produced in unethical means.

This is just a specific example I didn't know about.

    I also don't eat tomatoes.

And didn't really eat it 20 years ago. Hell 15 years ago I was moving to Japan so I was completely disconnected from the US fast food scene. Dropping Wendy's is easy because I have eaten once in the last 18 months.

I legit only ever got spicy chicken sandwich, no tomato.

    That is it.

I am just bad at fast food.

On my own I won't eat McD's, BK, Taco Bell, or KFC. Popeye's has 100% very not great for me. I have figured this is because of a bad Popeye's in the Pentagon but I have not found why people like them yet. I like the homophobic chicken but don't eat it. My "fast food" are a local halal burger place, Astro's Chicken and Donuts, and Chipotle. That is about it.
