So I've loved the X-files ever since the first time I saw it on TV however many years ago. My favorite TV memories were the 180 nights of X-Files that F/X used to show in the summers.
But my money is very limited, and can't afford all the packaged seasons. However my favorite episode I can't find in the season packs (just by reading their description/name off the site). I'm assuming it was from one of the earlier seasons, because that's when the show really jumped around from random odd ass paranormal, to aliens and such, rather than the later seasons that were mainly gov't conspiracy and alien invasion.
The episode IIRC, I've only seen it once, starts out in a forest, with part of a survey crew mysteriously disappearing. (And then maybe his body showing up?) Queue Mulder and Scully who talk to the other part of the crew, get a hotel, etc. and start to poke around the woods. I think Mulder blames the jersey devil, but I can't remember 100% that far back. Anyway, what it ends up being is two guys who found the fountain of youth, a long, long, long time ago, and stay alive eternal. However their bodies had evolved, to give them natural camouflage, who have basically reverted back to an animal state, killing people and animals to survive, as well as keep them out of their territory. Ending in one of the men being under Scully's bed when they decide the case is over, and it's time to go.
If I could find the season pack it's in, I'd most likely save up to buy it, as it's by far been my favorite episode.
If anyone could help me out, that'd be appreciated.
Whether they find a life there or not, I think Jupiter should be called an enemy planet.
