Cows very rarely eat meat, typically chicks from a birds nest that has fallen to the ground or rabbit kittens if a burrow is disturbed. There are almost zero true herbivores in nature, but again, cows eating meat is really very rare.

true domestication takes a long time, but foxes are extremely intelligent
the russians have bred out foxes natural fear of humans, they're still wild animals that can bond easily with their owners
