Zven is very much the weak point of C9. If they get bounced by TSM here, I wonder if they look to make that change to bring in an ADC who can be a threat.

Nisqy's the weakest link imo. He seems to function well within a team that's firing on all cylinders, but when they come back down to earth somewhat in macro, he gets exposed by more talented lane opponents.
Early game 2, c9 continues to look like shit. What happened to them?

Sometimes you just gotta let the other team have the objective.

This is mostly not sour grapes, but I really hate how the LCS Spring Split doesn't count for Worlds. Unlike Doublelift, I think the split should matter.

I honestly think they need to make a ton of changes this offseason, and not just with the roster. The coaching and drafting has been abysmal, culminating in a do-or-die series against TSM where C9 got outdrafted and out-item'd fairly easily in each of their losses.
Nisqy fit really well when C9 focused on being aggressive and making plays, but as soon as the other team plays a strat that makes that difficult/is smart about objectives, it ends up highlighting his flaws. Zven is...just not great when the lights are shining? C9 has an actual answer there in that they could always go back to Sneaky and let him play with an actually-good support in Vulcan. Blabber and Licorice feel very hit or miss.
The organization really feels like the got complacent after Spring, and while everyone else adapted, C9 never did, and now it's costing them a trip to Worlds.

I don't think people should let Bjerg have Xilean.
Hot take, I know.

Building on that, a little
Cloud9 in the spring seemed more aggressive and innovative, trying to push people out of their comfort zone, and you can even look at this series for examples if you want. Game 2 they played a Lillia that was probably a flex pick, and the pivotal Game 4 they...somewhat copied TSM's comp from the previous game. It felt like they stopped trying new things, and so it was hard for me to even cheer for them when it felt like they were struggling so much.
I really hope Licorice stays.

He's got a 75% competitive winrate on the champ. But against C9, what else could they do? Ban the Zilean and let through what?

75% winrate is insane

Licorice is getting solo killed by Broken Blade, who's the weakest member of TSM. Not looking good for the winners of Spring Split.
I know it's easy to believe TSM have decided to play without a jungler this split, but Spica is definitely technically a member of the team and it's a bit rude to pretend he doesn't exist like this :bzz:

Yeah, but it's not like he doesnt have any other champs. The series before this their opponents 5 banned bjergsen one game and he did just fine. It's not a winning strategy.
Golden Guardians first run at them was the best. Just don't put attention mid, keep up and keep him from roaming. Slam another lane.
TSM countered by bringing back Biofrost and putting brokenblade on a carry so Spica would cover him. I'm not a TSM fan but they are looking a lot better than they have been.

I am familiar with drafting strategy. I was pretty competitive in HotS until recently, and I have been on both sides of dealing with problem champs. The thing is that you should rarely devote all your bans to isolating a single, versatile player. But also you don't let them have the champ they have a 75+% winrate on.

So, uh, I've never played LoL. I kinda stumbled into this thread's predecessor a month ago, and have been following since more out of curiosity than anything else.
Someone in the chat thread mentioned a "raven guy" and since I think corvids are really cool I tried to look it up. Presumably they meant Swain?
What are soul charges? They're mentioned in a few of his ability descriptions, but not what they are for.

What was TSM's winrate in general during that time? TSM is often pretty dominant so it's hard to disentangle an individual person's performance from the team's winrate. Like in an extreme example, if C9 loses 0 games during a season, their mid has 100% winrate with all champions that season, but that doesn't mean much.
That said, Bjergsen is SO GOOD at Zilean and I have been noticing in playoffs that a bunch of bans are directed at him and Zil is often one of them.

I have no idea about the win rates, Moridin is the one that brought it up. 75% winrate is just insane considering any significant amount of data.

You get them by hitting people with (some of) his other abilities or collecting them from dead champions, too.
Give the game a try, though! For my money it's the best video game. (And I've put enough money in it, I reckon.) There are a decent number of us hanging around the thread, and I'm always happy to play with new folks.

Yeah I’m in a similar boat, I am learning this game (though I do have experience with other MOBAs) so feel free to hit me up if you want to play
I would suggest downloading the blitz program if you wanna play the game, though. It will automatically set your runes for you and give you suggested buy orders and talent allocations.

Additional disclaimer: munkus is nowhere near the "noob" that he should be based on little experience :P
I didn't even say this earlier, but I do like Swain. He's a good solo laner or support, and being able to play a champion in multiple positions usually adds to the appeal (at least for me).

I mean, I was Masters and near Grandmasters in HotS and some of that translates, but I still don’t know the abilities of 80% of the champs and items.
