Because I am very stubborn I have kept at Kayn. I really dislike it when things don't make sense and like, I should be better on this character. So by banging my head repeatedly into a wall I've learned some things:
1) Ult doesn't need to be used as a finisher. In fact it's almost the opposite. It's so you can get in a ton of damage pretty quickly, and also take a little mid fight nap to let your cooldowns come up. It's also really good for say, when Olaf wants to be unstoppable. Fine, I'll just wait your shit out.
2) It's VERY ANNOYING to have your teammates kill the ulted target because like...I needed that health.
3) I've learned what Kayn (actually Rhaast) can fight and it's...kind of a lot. Once you get to poppin' he heals up a lot during fights. It's also kind of a fine line. CC is the enemy. If you get stunned you can't Q things and then you can't heal.
I don't think it's totally a done thing but it's enough hope to where I think the time investment is paying off.
I have no idea what sort of glue riot was sniffing when it thought renata glasc's kit was a good idea.
She is incredibly disruptive AND has a ghetto res that works more often than it does not.

Yeah the res seems really good. There are plenty of dumb fights at low elo that will end up being trades or very near trades (you die slightly faster) and now they're just wins.

Every time I play an artillery mage in bot lane and I load up blitz, first strike is never one of the "hey pick this!" builds
And it really confuses me because it like, cascades into you getting so much more gold. Mid game I was getting 100+ gold per R press on Lux.
Dunno why it isn't more popular.

Four minutes into the game, literally the only CS i have is from executing minions. I cannot execute the cannon minion because I already hit the fucking support rule.

I think nunu might be out. Obviously you can one trick anything but it's very frustrating to jam kills down your top lane or bottom lane's throats and they just didn't pick someone who can carry or they just die the moment you leave.
At least if I carry and I don't get there I know it's because I need to be better.

I have been experimenting a LOT with glasc and one of the biggest hurdles is my own team.
Her passive is bonkers but requires you and the adc to be attacking the same guy. Honestly wondering if going Nashors tooth is viable

I’ve still played only one game of Glasc and it was very fun (but also made it pretty clear what weaknesses she has—reasonably low damage and no mobility, short q range that doesn’t go through minions, slow e and very slow r)
I love her look and voice lines and her autoattack animation just feels nice and heavy
I think it makes sense to build like an ap enchanter support—maybe imperial mandate, shurelya, and then your other useful items that boost cdr, like the support morello.
Playing her with the intent to be a big source of direct damage is probably just not going to happen, so something like nashors is I’m sure fine cause it has some cdr, but I’m guessing not ideal, since you can’t pop your own passive.
I’m on a journey of trying to trust my team as support instead of insisting on carrying through individual damage though hahaha

Mandate is definitely the go-to. But I keep seeing her passive, which does a whopping 12% max health damage after both procs late game, and thinking that Nashor's tooth would be strong as fuck.
You are still dependent on your team because as you said, you can't trigger the proc on your own. You need your adc to be pew pewing.
Mandate is probably the go-to first buy but holy shit is this gal mana hungry.

If I could teach people one thing, it's that hey, I can't just move from gank to gank to gank. I need to clear things. Yeah, my Krugs were important. How hard is it to just NOT DIE until I get to you? Like if something obvious is happening sure, I can try to path to that but like otherwise chill for ten seconds and I can gank your shit. Also, in many cases it's unlikely I could actually save you by leaving my camp halfway through. I could maybe run over and prevent you from getting dove, but if you die in the middle of the lane, you were basically dead the whole time.

it's a 100% free use of the ultimate tho, just cast it. i don't see why it executes matters?
it's not your base cast of the ultimate, you will still have/not have it.

I'd rather dump the body, use my abilities and then ult them at lower health to take advantage of the extra damage which could kill them compared to using it at the top where it might not.

I mean if you want to prevent the next support abandoning top cheese you just hit all the support items at once. You don't do it for Spellthief's Edge to get Janna and then have to do it again for every other item when a new support gets locked in top. I mean it it's good to fuck over the supports buying the CSing items in lane but I can see why it got lumped in. They really just need to undo the tower bounties I think. I don't think that they actually help that much as a catch up mechanism, I think that it's about as often that I am in a losing game where we get bounties and turn it around as when I was in a losing game before and turned it around without bounties. I'm not sure the bounties help and the gaming the system there is pretty unfun.

Alright I think I'm getting better despite just being on a terrible run of games overall. I'm feeling a little more comfortable getting around, doing things with the champions I've chosen, and all that.
Things I definitely still need to work on include: counterjungling more often, making sure my team is in the best position to contest/take dragons and heralds (basically trying to make sure they don't die beforehand), and a lot of overall feel for the game. Knowing what situations I can fight in, when to run away, that kind of stuff. It would also probably beneficial to get into practice mode and really nail down my first clear.
One question I have for the group is: how the hell do you farm so much as a jungler? My CS average is about 4.5 per minute over the last 10 games, which is ticking up overall. I do alright at the beginning (around 6 cs/min), but in the middle to end game it seems so difficult to get farm. Either I feel unable to spend time on it because I need to go do team based things, ganks, counterganks, objectives, whatever, or because my team is losing and my jungle is just so unsafe/farmed out.

I bet seeing how they path and divide their time would be pretty informative
(I have no idea how a jungler can both farm and gank; whenever I play autofill jg it’s very dicey)
