I couldn't even reliably navigate menus with the 360 dpad let alone actually play a video game

I had one of those later 360 models that let you spin the D-Pad to be a true four directional thing. It was pretty good then!

somebody used to post here who played a lot of fighting games, exclusively on a 360, using the stock dpad, and had a lot of success with it
big red tie, or maybe huntera, I think?
anyway they'd absolutely body me in P4A and I still don't fuckin understand how they made it work for them
to be fair, if someone puts the time to get used it people can be really good at fighting games with any control scheme assuming the input lag is comparable to more conventional methods.
Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a lot of fun, but can someone please back me up that the 'pursuit' mechanic is poorly explained and poorly implemented? I was stuck on one trial for ages because I had no idea you had to cycle through the same dialogue twice to get it to work.

Yeah that felt a bit like a cheat, I didn't get stuck there but only by chance really
It feels like they're trying to thread a needle between not making it so obvious that it's trivial whole also avoiding the thing from Apollo Justice where you'd be stuck for an hour because you can't find the tiny little poker tell the witness has and the results are... Mixed
I’m in early week three of Neo TWEWY and so far I’m a bit underwhelmed
the characters just aren’t doing it for me. Each of the characters in original TWEWY had a clear emotional arc, but there’s just not that much here. rindo’s passiveness and Fret’s tendency to be too much of a people pleaser are decent enough points to start off a character arc, but so far the game hasn’t done anything with them. Nagi still has no signs of a character arc whatsoever beyond wanting to play her gacha games, and Beat has so little presence here that he could be cut entirely with no change to the story so far (a real shame, because there’s so much they could do with putting him in a mentor role). Shoka’s arc is a decent idea, but since so much of it occurred offscreen it doesn’t really land for me.
Plus the pacing seems off- everything moves at a glacial pace until a sudden ramp up at the end of each week, only for things to grind to a halt as soon as the next week begins. And the game’s habit of ramping you up for a major confrontation only to force you to spend 45 minutes on tedious Rewind backtracking is groan inducing.
I still love the hints at the mysteries and overarching plot, but what made original TWEWY so great was that it had both world building and grounded character development, and the latter seems lacking here.
But it’s entirely possible that I’ll like it more when I see the whole thing take shape. And I can’t help but feel a good chunk of my disappointment comes from building up impossible expectations after 14 years of waiting and looking at the original game through rose colored glasses.

Big oof moment in the fourth case
'Disabled war veteran is repeatedly scalded and beaten by his wife' isn't quite the hilarious running gag the writers clearly thought it was.

Has anyone had issues with the switch thinking your cartridge has disconnected? It happens rarely for me when I wake my switch and I fix it by reinserting the game, but I'm worried it's going to start happening while I'm playing. I mainly have one specific game in there so I can't remember if it happened to other games. And when I say rare, it can be weeks apart.

Final Remix changed it so all pin exp/evolutions came only from battles and shutdown
Also in FR you can change the Switch date while the game is open and it'll register

Also the boss of the first week hurt my weak babby hands, as a TWEWY boss should.
yes
other people were making posts that suggested it was bad specifically for fighting games
I contend that it was just generally shit
