My housemates and I recently finished up a campaign through Diablo III and we're close to wrapping up Super Mario 3D World.
Until Diablo II: Resurrected comes out in late September (and the reviews indicate that it's not going to be a debacle like Reforged), I'm looking for another good couch co-op to play. I think we would have a lot of fun with one of the Borderlands collections (Borderlands Legendary Collection, I think), but I'm having trouble figuring out if it actually supports 3-4 player couch co-op or not. Does anyone here know if we would be able to play this with just one Switch and 3-4 controllers in the same room?
Edit: Consarn it, Nintendo's site indicates that it's only four player online.
My guess is that's the very start of the game and she loses upgrades, again, because that's how it seems to happen half the time
She should start with the suit at the end of Fusion - a mix of the Fusion and SA-X suits/abilities.
Not that she'll keep it.
I can imagine Samus would get her suit modified to look more like her old one, considering how psychologically damaging the body horror in fusion would be.

On the other hand, she may well view the Fusion suit as a symbol of the baby Metroid saving her life once again. The Fusion Suit only took form as a result of the Metroid serum healing her wounds and driving out the parasite, after all.
Two housemates. We're looking for more 3-4 player couch co-cop games. We do have Mario Kart 8, we're just looking for something a bit more campaign-y.
I was also looking at the Serious Sam Collection, but likewise I can't tell what the couch situation is like. Good options I've been able to nail down so far are Rayman Legends, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Castle Crashers Remastered, and the Trine games.

It's not a co-cop game, but Fire Emblem: Three Houses lends itself pretty well to having multiple brains involved in the decision-making processes.

Hey, remember that "triangle strategy" demo thing they had a while back, has there been any information about the release of the full game at all since then? Like the real name, release date, anything like that?
My friend is working on a roguelike game you can play if you want to. (It has free demo)

no, but I'm sure it's probably gotten some delays from covid and whatnot. AFAIK 2022 was when we were expecting that one
Nintendo has a bunch of their digital games on sale right now, stuff like Mario Party, Splatoon 2, Fire Emblem, and Hyrule Warriors for $42.
GameStop has some of those even further discounted. Maybe unintentionally? They show up on the product page for 42 but in cart they’re $30. It should be everything on the page of that link except Mario Tennis and Snipperclips base game

If you haven't done Overcooked yet, then absolutely get Overcooked. The bundle, if it's on sale, especially if it's the All You Can Eat bundle. Just sheer utter hilarious chaos and "accidental" (or so your buddies would have you believe) dickery.

Lovers is a lot of fun. I played that one with a friend and we had a great time. Compared to something like Overcooked it’s a bit less frantic, but still co-op stressful. Like Overcooked is “you are the only one with onions and this dish is going to be ruined because you’re pissing around with cleaning dishes instead of giving me the damn onions” and Lovers is “I’m driving and you are controlling the shields but one of us is going to need to get on the guns because we can’t run from the enemies forever… oh shit we both did!”
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris was another super fun couch co-op campaign, but I don’t think it’s on Switch
The last case of Great Ace Attorney is some spicy hot bullshit.
These two guys are insisting they saw the shopkeeper waving a gun around, even though they've already claimed that he was behind a closed door the whole time. I present evidence that proves this is a contradiction. Bzzt, wrong, I lose a point.
They also claim that they knocked over some items on one end of the counter and put them all back, but I have photographic evidence proving that the lamp at the opposite end of the counter was also knocked over. I present the photo to prove the contradiction. Bzzt, wrong, I lose a point.
No, it turns out the contradiction I am supposed to find is the shopkeeper's corpse didn't have a gun in its hand when it was found. Not the fact that they were even giving a visual description in the first place of someone they never actually saw.
I swear, 95% of the time I love these games but the other 5% it feels like I'm playing a Mario Maker troll level.

currently re-playing AA2 and yeah, I would agree with this

They missed an opportunity at the end of case 5.
Me: So I've got to prove that these two men made an illicit deal with each other right here in the courtroom. Let's see... Graydon's bullet wound is bleeding through his left sleeve, and he keeps clutching at it. That's probably transferred blood to his right glove. If he made a deal with the detective, both of them being gentlemen, they probably would have shook hands on it. Which would have transferred blood to the detective's right glove! All we have to do is ask him to show his hands! He's not bleeding himself and he's had no other reason to touch Graydon, so there'll be no other excuse for the blood being there! Am I right?
Game: No. Press X to blackmail the detective.
Me: ...but, you asked me to present evidence, and blackmailing a confession out of someone isn't -

i also got hung up there. The Skulkin Brothers are some of my favorite NPCs in the franchise, which is a good thing because it really helps paper over the fact that that might be the single weakest finale case they've ever had
I've heard GAA2 is excellent, but GAA1 comes in pretty decidedly low on my rankings of these games. spoilers for the whole game
I love the cast and the setting, but the cases are all really basic, and even though the first case sets up this idea that the whole game's gonna be tied up in the political relationship between Britan and Japan and how Britan tries to control other countries through soft power, that, doesn't really... go anywhere.
Someone told me that GAA was originally supposed to be a single game that ended up getting turned into two, and if true that would explain a lot. There's SO MANY unresolved plot threads by the end of it? Who was the masked woman in the first case and why did she murder Wilson/Watson? Why doesn't Holmes want to publish Hound of the Baskervilles? What's up with disguise-cop's bloody cough? What was up with the shakespeare weirdo that shows up for like 3 lines of dialogue in case 4? What about the running background plot of the big world's fair-style show coming up and the communist terrorists planning to bomb it? What was that thing Kazuma didn't get a chance to explain to you before he died? some of that stuff gets played as a cliffhanger but a lot of it just kinda feels like the game forgot to get around to it. If i'd played this at release without the ability to barrel right on into GAA2 I think I might've felt a tiny bit ripped off. I've heard GAA2 is excellent, so hopefully having an entire game of set-up lets them really go buckwild in that one. I'm only in the first case so far which is, y'know an AA first case, so it's hard to judge really
Eggert testifies that he got shot with the victim's gun, and there's like 3 different statements i tried to object to by pointing out that the prosecution's argument is that the victim was shot by his own gun, and none of them took. It took pressing a different statement to ACTUALLY get his explanation that Gina had her own gun, despite being photographed brandishing the victim's gun and being found holding the victim's gun, and you can't object to that at ALL because what they actually want is for you to point out that the peephole didn't exist yet
I think may be on the final final boss of NEO TWEWY. (not counting the optional secret boss(es) that I'm sure exist)
turns out i was just on the pre post pre post pre final boss.
actual whole game NEO TWEWY spoilers
Joshua? Still a dick.
At least he's a constructive dick this time, rather than Literally As Bad As Kubo.
Eh. Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh.
(Continued big-ass NEO TWEWY whole-game spoilers)
Oh, I don't like him. But he was willing to resolve the problem if the team failed (granted, we just have his words for it), and he brought 2 people back to life, which is more than he was willing to do in TWEWY 1 until the last minute of the story.
Granted, a lot of heartache could've been stopped if he'd been willing to fry Shiba and/or Kubo right at the outset, instead of trusting in his proxy Player. I don't know how strict the rules are on his involvement, but he clearly can step in... There's probably Angel Reasons For This Bullshit, which I haven't uncovered in the secret reports just yet.
edit:
Oh, and apparently the dude who planned Shinjuku's erasure is like, following in the footsteps of TWEWY 1 "burn everything to the ground" Joshua, like a Kohai emulating his Senpai. So, Josh still has some indirect blood on his hands, even if he isn't into burning down entire cities anymore.
Every from the end of W2D7 onward so far has been a nonstop ride... Up to W3D7 now and very glad I've not been spoiled on any of this.
One UI bit has me curious though.
I finally got the pin evolution conditions unlock, and a very recent pin shows... Minamimoto as required to evolve it. So I'm assuming it means go back to week 1, BUT...
I fell way behind on neo from moving so now I can no longer spoil look. You all know secrets I don't now! My level up all the pins as I get them strat is starting to backfire though. I keep getting weird pairings that don't really work well maybe I'll just have to level 1-2 at a time

just a sloppy case all around
Plus
Gina's jacket was supposedly sprayed with blood when she shot Windibank in the back but there isn't the slightest trace of blood on his entry wound. Or on her other clothes, or on the floor or any objects behind where he collapsed.
Also, since Graydon has openly confessed to stealing the third gun... maybe someone could ask him to give it back? You know, the murder weapon? Might be a useful piece of evidence to have?
