Edit: lol all the thread links are broken because Vanilla has a different URL scheme, and I just noticed because I wanted to find Berk's BEAR WITH SHARK HANDS entry.
The weird memories about this place my brain decides to file away permanently instead of remembering things like family member's birthdays, I wish I could make by brain stop remembering that time Mori mailed a hard drive full of extremely carefully categorised downloaded porn to someone. There was some kind of competition involved to decide the recipient?
Why the fuck do I remember THAT and not my adorable niece's birthday? What is wrong with you, brain?
One of these days you're going to find yourself stuck in a deathtrap puzzle room rapidly filling with spiders and all of this information is going to become extremely useful
Also I’m pretty sure I have never offered to send my pornography collection to someone.
I must be confusing your carefully curated collection with someone else's giveaway.

I used to share an office with Cal, and mostly he was really great, just, a little too happy with some unsolicited waving his exposed dick at you out of nowhere.
Edit: That didn't happen in the office, it was at his house, but still.

I remember an old forum battle that pit Chico against Captain K
To this day when Hold the Line is on I always sing the chorus of K's version
I don't remember why, but Captain K recorded an a cappella version of Fugue #7777 from Katamari Damacy (linked below for reference) and it's extremely good and to this day I still have that mp3 as part of my official Katamari playlist

Haha, the first thing I ever heard him do was a one man rendition of the Tales Spin theme song.

This is going back a looong way, but I remember someone - maybe Jennifer? - posted exclusively in Haiku for about a week and it took a couple days for anyone to notice.
I loved the forum battles so much I had a quote from mully's battle against synthetic orange as my title/location for... I don't even know how long. I only recently took it off since I figured the number of people who would read "your insides, let me show you them" as a callback to a lighthearted Pokemon meme nested in a Reservoir Dogs recreation had probably dwindled down to nothing. I wonder if fagnarok is still available anywhere...
I mostly remember Captain K being the deciding factor in whether people were playing Counter-Strike: Source. When he logged on the server would fill within minutes and when he left the server, so would nearly everyone else.
I still have his G&T forumers Pokérap on my computer, though.
Someday, maybe I will stop posting on these forums. Maybe I'll finally find that special lady, get married, move to the suburbs, have a couple of kids.
Years go by.
And then maybe a certain Black Eyed Peas song will come in the background.
And my mind's eye will instantly go flash back to a mustache, a man tied to a chair, neon jumpsuits...
Hey guys, who wants a round of America Deserved 9/11?!
you might be interested to hear of a drink called the Challenger, which was specifically invented to combat asshole americans going to the UK/ireland and ordering irish car bombs. it is 7-up with a splash of Teacher's
I will go to PAX again some day and bring my aggressively regular spouse and we’ll play board games all day and go to fancy dinner.
I brought my now wife down for pax after we'd been dating a year and it was...
Bad.
I knew everybody and she knew nobody, she didn't care about all the things I wanted to do and our accommodation sucked. It didn't make us almost break up or anything, but boy did we have a bad time.
I wouldn’t say not do this necessarily, Veldrin brought down his wife to AusPAX and she knew no one to begin with and now we all know that she is a cool person.

The only sex-adjacent story I remember is cat-snacker
Still somewhat thrown off by the time a few years ago when someone I follow because of college football retweeted Skull Man (and that she also followed him), which led to me discovering that he was Big on Twitter.
It's kinda wild how many forumers ended up in Jobs Of Some Prominence
I kinda assumed we were all reprobates and/or wastrels and/or roustabouts
the weirdest for me was the time a friend of mine showed me one of kate welch's tweets and I was like "oh I used to party with her sometimes"
WAM and I worked like 20 minutes apart for the same company and had the same shitty boss and we realized this when I was complaining about him on here and she was like "Is that Al from GameStop?" and I was like 'Oh shit yeah' and we were both managers at stores in the same district and since I was calling other stores every night for some BS task I was assigned we probably spoke a bunch. It was areal 'small world' moment for me.
Also I know like none of them post here anymore but a bunch of the Indiana forum folk and myself like Tofu Ninja, Firetruck, Vann Diras (I think?), and like 5 other people I know the real name and not the forum names of anymore use to get together and get wrecked. I think @Goose! was there once and so was Lexxy. I still take to Tofu all the time via social media. Hes a cool dude.
I have never been to Indiana as far as I remember. Only PA events I've done, unfortunately, were PAXes and 2 FLOPAXes when those were a thing

Xaquin's question was for me.
Allow me to answer.
I do not know what EOD stands for.
Thank you for your time.
I'll take ten points, please.

Is there a better name for that particular cocktail?
I'm happy to start using another name if there is one.
We always called it an Irish depth charge

I think Captain K is probably my favorite forumer of all time, he was always a completely stand-up dude
Oh, that's much better!
Haha, the first thing I ever heard him do was a one man rendition of the Tales Spin theme song.
his voice was so dreamy...
In actual recorded history since they started serving liquor yes more than likely.
Sticky sweet?
From your head, to your feet?
YEAH?
I miss that dude, he was a pretty genuine friend.
Also called an Irish slammer or an Irish drop.
Many are still funny, some have decidedly Not Aged Well.

Abracadaniel? I think he's doing okay. Still talks a bit of smack with other forum people on social media every now and then.
