ok now I really want to write a very short like five minute play about a medieval age peasant couple going over for dinner at another family's house and doing a whole "keeping up with the Jones'" thing but about how much pig muck their eldest has been raking and whatnot
I've been spending less and less time at the con itself each year, and now that I live out here PAX is...less of a big event for me than it used to when I could maybe make it out every couple of years, but: I keep seeing pictures of like, the con floor, or specific hotels near the convention center and going, "damn, it sucks that there's not a PAX this year." Here's hoping next year everyone will be able to feel safe to just...go to PAX again. Or just...you know, do anything, I guess.

I would basically only go for the board game hall, which is the only bit my fiancée would give a shot about, so it would be exclusively hang outs and fancy dinners outside of that.

The thing I use my pass for the most, when I have one, is console free play.
I get exhausted a lot walking around all the dang time in the labor day heat and I have not found a better way to rest at pax that spending an hour playing a game I like in the air conditioning.
well actually it's more like spending half an hour waiting for a game to install then another half hour playing it but whatever.
It's fun to attend some of the community panels when they're done well. Let's Place is a consistent gem in this regard. Other than that I kinda just wander around and look for whatever seems interesting. Sometimes they've got people I want to meet or booths I'd like to visit when I know a particular game is due out relatively soon and I've been following it for a while.
And yes, the board game tables. PAX South is pretty much my singular social interaction for an entire year and I gladly push my body to its limits of stamina so that I can get in as much as possible until the next year.

I am happy to hang out with people around PAX. Having spent the past decade building the convention as a laborer, I don't really feel the need to attend it anymore.
Though I will say this: every year Gabe and Tycho will go onto the convention floor while things are being built and gawk at the displays in the making, and it causes me a great deal of amusement to chat them up while they do so. This is made especially humorous by the fact that none of my fellow laborers have any idea who they are and will often look at me like I'm crazy when I try to explain the whole thing to them.
It is wild that both of these things exist but one was a disaster that the OP got dragged over the coals for, and the other still makes me chuckle when I think about it.

This thread is hell on usual technique of visiting the forums.

Thanks to this thread I had a weird as fuck dream about ranssite last night.

How????
Some things are too glorious to be retained via mortal means.
Oh, uh, okay never mind.
@Regular Stormy presumably
Fuck
Better luck next time, suckers.
In this economy?
Hell yeah, we got 4 dogs and 2 pigs. Need a big ol yard for em
Hilarious. I'm not there so no PAX.
Nice try Zarflax or something.
You big idiot.
I go to precisely zero panels and spend almost no time in the convention center as is already

Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
there was only a short period of time when liming for truth was considered cool and fun, especially on SE++, if I recall correctly
