Yeah, just having Fischl spam attack for me melts through a lot of stuff.
Of course she's also packing a lot of levels and gear just for doing that.
Whiteblind is a fun greatsword on Noelle. It has the +atk/def% on hit thing going, and Noelle loves defense buffs. Also, it's craftable so it's viable to refine it up further.

In case anyone is curious about under the hood stuff, stumbled across what seems to be the ATK formula. Tested it just now on two of my characters and I'm able to generate both of their numbers (Jean was off by 1, which I attribute to rounding, while Razor was spot on):
ATK value = (Base ATK [Character + Weapon] * ATK% [additive of all atk% sources present]) + Flat ATK
The base attack value you see in details already sums together both character base and your weapon. The plus value next to it appears to be the contribution of all other boosts present from both ATK% and flat atk values.
A few takeaways:
* Your weapon seems to be the most important piece of gear to ascend and max at all times, as its stats are scaled by ATK%. It also contributes the majority of your base attack (for comparison: my Jean has a weapon with 429 ATK and her total base is 584, indicating her character base attack at level 60 is only 155).
* ATK% is unsurprisingly very good, and is additive with itself as expected. It does suggest that ATK% procs on weapons or set bonuses, however, are less valuable than DMG% boosts, given that you're probably starting to get into diminishing return territory.
* Flat atk is oddly enough not a very attractive substat. It is not scaled by ATK%, and your feather artifact is going to be contributing at least 60%+ of its value.

lol at streamers complaining about the game not juicing your wallet fast enough or whaled to an account they could easily flip for 5-10k then knocking up against gacha game energy economy and thus the game is now "trash"
I made the mistake of somehow allowing my high as fuck post-medical-procedure-self yesterday (was too uncoordinated to use chopsticks to eat my post-fasting noodles even!) to find my wallet and make a set of rolls.... and got rewarded for it. I don't know how I am supposed to feel about this.
I didn't get a Jean that I wanted. What I did get was this.
Yes, that's a Qiqi and a Aquita Favonia (5* Sword). Time to retire my Barbara to 'Team 2' once I get her and the weapon up to snuff (daily rotations for ascensions not up yet till Sunday/Monday).
Also got: Amos Bow (5* Bow, ridiculously huge attack, weird feature where it does bonus damage the longer your arrows fly), Stringless (Elemental boosting bow), Widsith (RNG but potentially good tome), The Bell (this is an interesting but weird one), A few Bennets (so he's gonna actually be a great support), and one Ningguang (who seems really good, but not sure if I want to turbo invest in her unless I get her first Constellation that turns her auto attacks into AoEs.)
So this is where all the luck I didn't have on my reroll attempts went.
I'm at about 65ish pulls towards guaranteed pity on the Venti banner, do we have confirmation that it carries across to the following banner? I'm far more interested in Geo Spear man than another Venti.

Keqing/Fischl/Xian/Noelle continue to put in work. My only problem with Noelle is that I'm not getting much for decent def artifacts so I can't scale her healing as well as I'd like.
I gave in a blew all my remaining rolls on the standard banner, trying desperately to chase a Jean (yes, I know she's not rate up).
Pulled Diluc plus the Skyward Pride Greatsword instead, and lmao what the fuck is this character? I actually think the energy recharge from the greatsword is overkill, cause his ult is up so fast anyways, but I'll obviously keep using it for now because 5* stats.

For how hard my Razor hits things for I've.... seen things form Dilucs in multiplayer.
I actually just got a Beidou last night on the standard banner.
Currently I’m running Diluc, Barbara, Traveler, and Kaeya. Probably gonna switch in Fischl instead of Kaeya but I need to get her levels caught up a bit.
I got Qiqi also, but still prefer Barbara for my healer because she can use that dragon book that buffs the next character to switch in. My main squad right now is Venti, Barbara, Xiangling, and Razor.
What's this business about the Traveler being a different element? I can switch her from wind at some point?
I got my diluc off the standard banner which I’ve only done like 20 pulls.
I’ve done like 60+ on venti and hit a ton of barbs but no 5 star. Does this mean I’m due a 5 star soon on that banner?
It sounds like the pity is separate for the three categories of "general banner, weapon banner, char banner" so you're at that 60+ towards a 5* on Venti banner. Which has no 5* weapons, so...

Spoiling in case somebody wants to discover this stuff themselves
The second area lets you change them to the Geo element.
Once you unlock the ability you can go to one of the Seven Shrines (those towers you can upgrade and that reveal the map when you discover them) in an area to attune the Traveler to that land's element. So the shrines in the first area let you change to wind and the shrines in the second area let you change to geo. One thing to remember is that the traveler has to be the active person you're controlling to change their element.
This also means that the Traveler gets an upgradeable constellation for each element they get. So right now you'll have unique abilities and constellation for wind and completely different ones for geo. Also the wind and geo constellations take different items to upgrade so you don't need to worry about using them to upgrade wind instead of saving them for the geo constellation.
Are there any good ways to make cash besides just farming those golden ley lines? Ley lines burn your resin really fast, can't really got any sort of grinding groove on until it's all over already.

What AR are you? I had a lot of it until AR25 or so, now it runs out all the time and I assume it is only getting worse the higher you get.

30. I'm more concerned, but I need a lot of upgrade mats to uncap things to burn gold on them more.
I gave this a try, and while it seems pretty buggy, it's also fun.
I had some wish whatever items when the game opened that option up (from some mail reward?) so I spent 10 (or 8, since there was a discount, possibly) and got a support/ice wizard-y kind of character named Qiqi (not to be confused with streaming service Quibi), which seems like a neat healing option.
Oh man, bugginess. I've had so many issues with enemies constantly falling off platforms and then respawning. Over, and over and over. Boss farming has gotten tedious because of this.
The only repeatable bug I've seen is enemies tethereing back to their spawn points after you hit them with the geo Traveller's meteor and they get pushed on top of it, then can't find a path to you. One of the reasons I'm not a big fan of using geo for the Traveller.
I'm at about 65ish pulls towards guaranteed pity on the Venti banner, do we have confirmation that it carries across to the following banner? I'm far more interested in Geo Spear man than another Venti.
As far as I know based on how it's described in game, you have a 100% chance of getting a 5-star Character by your 90th pull, with a 50% chance that the character is Venti. And if you don't get Venti (I got Qiqi for instance), you will definitely get Venti by pull #180.
My understanding of the limited character banners isn't that you're guaranteed to get them at 90 pulls.
From how I read the details page on it the first 5* you pull has a 50% chance to be the featured character. Doesn't matter if you got lucky or if that was your pity pull.
If that 5* isn't the featured character than the next 5* you pull on that banner is 100% the featured character.
After you get the featured 5* then all the 5* in that banner have the same chance to drop. The rate up is only for the first Venti you pull.
So for Venti you're guaranteed to get him at most with your second 5* and after that he's the same odds as all the other 5*. Which is kinda nice since you can keep pulling that banner to get other 5* you don't have with better odds than the standard banner since the Venti banner doesn't have 5* weapons in the loot pool. Every 5* from that banner will be a character.
Yeah, the full pity can require up to 180 pulls. With that being said if you spend 10 pulls and get a 5* that isn't the featured, you're then guaranteed the featured within 90 pulls from there.
Afaik the rate up doesn't go away after your first Venti pull. It's worded strangely in the details but the pity just resets and your next 5* pull will have a 50% chance of being Venti again.
+1

Is there an offensive use for geotraveller's E?
"I will write your name in the ruin of them. I will paint you across history in the color of their blood."
Yes, if you just tap it instead of hold it'll come from the sky and hit an enemy in front of you. It actually does do decent damage.
Yeah, and the cooldown gets reasonably short with the first constellation (easily obtained for geo sigils), so it's not terrible for dealing damage. It's just not the monster that the anemo skillset is at drawing in enemies and then swirling them into oblivion. Very high utility though for making platforms.
So I finally found the Adventurer Guild and whoops I was supposed to get this journal a long time ago wasn't I? Might have helped if I wasn't constantly crawling up walls instead of using pedestrian things like stairs. Went from AR 7 to AR 9 and have a nice checklist of things to do. Opened a Leyline, found a locked Shrine of some sort, and fought a Ruin Guard who did not give a shit about my Fire/Wind/Shock combos.

Huh. I could have sworn that it specifically said that the first Venti pull you get would follow the 50%->100% rule. Which made me think that after that first pull it wouldn't count.
Now that I'm looking at it again I don't see that anywhere so I guess I just pulled that detail out of my ass. Whoops. So ya looks like it does work how you said.
Can you find 4* weapons in the world, or do you have to pull for them?
You can get prototypes from bosses (or buy them for sigils) and then craft 4* weapons at least. Requires 50 white iron and 50 crystals.
Some of those are pretty nice - I mentioned Whiteblind earlier. And because they're crafted that way you can more reliably (ish) get duplicates for refining the passives up.

i think the geo traveler would be pretty good if they fixed the behavior with the meteor popping people up on top of the platform. its annoying when exploring but its actually infuriating during timed challenges when it causes an enemy to reset back to full hp.
i think in a vacuum its better against enemies who can't be picked up by the anemo traveler burst but you have to be really careful with placing the meteor so the enemy takes the AOE damage but only the edge of it
(although you can exploit it against ruin hunters, because instead of resetting because they can't path to you, they just use their ranged attack, so you can hit them in the weak point and stun them)
Is there a good guide or tier list on which of those 4* craftable weapons are worth getting? Because 50 white iron chunks takes a while to get (not to mention the rarity of those weapon prototypes).

Yeah, geo is pretty annoying for that. Gotta wait so long for the thing to go away if for some reason you need to get under it. And yeah, having it pop enemies on top of it is super annoying. Also sometimes accidentally end up climbing it in the middle of combat. Really wish I could go back to anemo, but too many puzzles here need the geo.

Thanks for clearing that up. I really didn’t want to waste the rate for nothing.
90 is the break point, and for limited banners like Venti’s it means you will definitely get the featured character at 90 pulls.
