38 pulls (28 free pulls and a 10-pull on the Albedo banner) got me exactly 4 useless 4-star pieces of junk. Wasn't expecting much since the permanent banner is so random but that was still fairly depressing. I'm at 70 now with the event banner and I don't really care for Albedo so that's it for me.

I'm not pulling on banner because I already have C1 Bennett, C3 Sucrose, and like C8 Fischl. But I used the 32 farts from ascending and... I wish I'd taken a picture of the second ten pull. Amos Bow and Diluc C1.
i have no idea what to do at this point, literally have drawn every character plus an additional five star on this banner except bennet, all with only 25 draws....but....my boy...
As nice as this banner is will not be pulling on it since I am at the point where I would easily hit the guaranteed Banner with what I have saved. Just gonna hold till I hit a character I actually want.
man, it's super annoying that genshin does not automatically detect controller input and vice versa
Even more annoying when you try and type in co-op!
In good news this patch apparently made it save your control preference so if you are using Controller it will still be the case if you log out and back in, not as good as having it auto detect which you are using but progress!
Hmm, I'm interested in the new characters on the next banner, but I have Bennett at C1 and Fischl at C6 (she was, like, the only character I got for ages, it was weird).
Very first world problem, but I still reserve the right to complain when the time comes.
So, I did my pulls and... didn't get a single Fischl, which is perfect. Got a couple of Bennetts which are somewhat wasted since I had the C1, and got Sucrose to C6, which is okay I guess. Might play around with her some.
Got Albedo, which I wanted, so we'll see how that pans out.
My main is Keqing, and the crazy bit is that the "free" standard banner pulls gave me an extra of her, so all in all that's pretty nice.
EDIT: did the last handful of single pulls from the standard banner and got Bennett again. Okay, game.
So, super-early Albedo opinions/observations. Partly from my own playing around, partly from what I've seen from other people.
- His basic attacks aren't anything special, at least without his C2. His charge attacks are a little better, but he's no Keqing.
- The explosions that happen every 2 seconds inside his E field are decently powerful. Scaling off his defense is a bit weird, but you don't have to stack it that much for them to be good (the numbers are way higher than previously datamined). They're geo attacks and I'm pretty sure they can crit, anyway. And geo damage is his ascension stat.
- He doesn't have the same problem as Bennett and Chongyun, where enemies frequently move out of their fields, because his E is on an incredibly small cooldown. You can just quickly replace it when necessary.
- The explosions from his E do generate energy, but it seems to have the Zhongli problem where it's inconsistent. Still seems to be pretty good to me, given how little time he actually needs to be on the field.
- The crystalize effects don't seem to fuck with elemental reactions? This might need more testing, but like... say you apply Pyro to an enemy. You then do a basic attack, which triggers a geo explosion from his E field. This causes Crystalize and generates a pyro shield for you. But... the enemy still has Pyro on them, so you can still use a water attack to trigger Vaporize. There seems to be an internal cooldown on Crystalize or something, though, because you won't generate another shield every 2 seconds.
- I don't really see the elevator being that useful outside of exploration. I guess lifting up to hit a ruin guard in the eye is neat, but you can't stay up there long enough to really abuse the height advantage, like you can by climbing a geo traveller or Zhongli construct.
EDIT:
- The geo explosions only trigger when you do damage, which means that they don't trigger when you hit things like abyss mage shields. It's not super relevant since it wouldn't do much damage to the shield anyway, but... yeah. They still trigger against things like the Fatui shields, because they still take damage with the shield up. Just, very little.
I threw what random artifacts I had on him, and only levelled them to 6/7 - defense, geo damage, crit chance focus - and I use him basically to have that constant field up. I do maybe 700-1200 damage basic attacks on my dps, and those crystal explosions when I do damage are in the 1200-2400 range, depending on crits. It's some pretty nice passive damage for me.
The fact that those explosions don't fuck with your team's elemental reactions is really important too, since his second passive gives your team a pretty significant boost in elemental mastery after his burst. Before he released, that boost looked dumb to me because I figured it would get wasted by Crystalize, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It really looks like you could just slot him into any team that has space for some passive damage.

This quest you have to do before you can access the event takes a damn long time.
Kinda annoying.
(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.
10 pull on the Albedo banner got me Diluc and Favonis Lance. That's cool, I'll work on that now.
Got a Beidou and Rainslasher from standard banner. That is C1 and she honestly seems pretty good overall.
Jealous of Rainslasher. If you use Beidou with someone like Xingqiu or Childe, that weapon is really good for her as support. Barring slimes and such, enemies should always be affected by either hydro or electro, and that weapon has elemental mastery as its secondary stat.
Talking 'bout pulls is cool and all, but I'm loving this environment. I really enjoy how the negative condition gave them a means of defining the Seelie as both "treasure collectible" and "adventure boon".
Just wrapped up the Act 1 stuff, found the Dragontooth, and wandered around in the caves for a bit. Having recently moved up to WT6 (or is AR50 7?), I'm finding a lot of my crew is not up to snuff, but my Chibi Duo of Qiqi & Klee have proven capable of managing just about everything outside of the very rude Fatui clusters.
I ran into a lvl 80 Albedo doing a domain co-op last night (like 3 hours after the patch went live, so this guy was prepped). Seemed... fine? There were lots of 1k-ish geo numbers floating around at all times. Seemed helpful and not an active drain on the group like someone playing geo traveler, but not something that I'm seeing as a must-roll situation.
c6 Fischl is just totally broken in a good way. I went to try it out on some regular hillichurls, and she vaporized them before I could even start reading the damage numbers. So definitely worth the rolls!
Since I hit companion 10 on Jean and Fischl, I've changed up my main party as well to spread the love (which unfortunately also means I can't take full advantage of my Fischl day to day). I'm running Zhongli, Ning, Bennett, Xiangling which seems to be working out pretty well. Bennett heals cap at 70%, but with all the shields I'm not at huge risk of dying (other than all the sheer cold which has been kicking my ass). Now that I have Zhongli in a decent set with mostly +16 artifacts, he's kind of a monster. DPS turns into kind of a meaningless stat when you are dropping 34-42k meteors on mobs heads every 12 seconds. I keep looking around, like where did they all go?? as he just deletes whole groups. I've put a favonius pike on him, which is kind of crappy damage but the energy recharge seems worth definitely worth it. My ning also probably needs some better artifacts and more crit, but she's doing 10k+ charged attacks, which seems decent but when you compare to the meteors just feels kind of weak (first world problems I know!)
Fair warning I haven't tried it yet to confirm, but I did spend a couple hours last night flying around trying to get to it, so its not straightforward! Luckily, I did run into the
I had almost forgotten how much I adore just exploring this world. I had gotten enough Crimson Agates to level the tree up 5 times before I started Albedo's quest, hahah
Got to WL 7, the tree up to 7, and got to the summit, this area rules, I like that there’s not a ton of teleports and you have to deal with the cold weather stuff.
I got everything done for the first leg is the event except for the 120 fragments, still need 20 of those. Very ready to get into that event when it open for those tasty materials.
I’ve been making all of the agates on my map, but as a reminder there’s an interactive map website you can use to track them all down and Mark them as found.
You have a max map pin limit of 99 which I’m at 91 now with my mining spots etc, so later I’m going to mark the ones I’ve found in that map and remove all those pins.
OK, I know you all will be shocked but after watching some videos my willpower broke down and I convinced myself to pull for Albedo. Not only did I get him, but I also got another Jean making c2. Holy shit, her c2 is crazy for co-op (and she was my main for co-op anyways). Everyone on the field getting 15% atk speed and movement speed constantly is completely overpowered and we just shredded through stuff.
On the real topic though, Zhongli + Albedo is definitely synergistic. On the one hand, I feel kind of bad since this was the strategy that everyone said Mihoyo had, making us pull for two 5* in order to get the full character. However, its so hilariously broken I kind of don't mind now that I have it?
The resonance from the flower is a bigger radius than the zhongli pillar, so having them next to each other dramatically improves energy regen since you're actually hitting way more mobs, and then the pulses trigger blossoms which also generate more energy. I put the energy regen festering sword on Albedo and favonius on Zhongli, and both of them are literally ulting on 12s cooldowns. Albedo's ults don't do much at the moment since he's at all lvl 0 artifacts, but getting Zhongli's 40k meteors out on cooldown is good enough, and with bennett also in there ulting on cooldown, there's not even really time for autoattacking. I have Xiangling in for the pyro resonance, but that's pretty much all she's doing, lol.

So Zhongli is the one on the field most of the time? Albedo, Bennett come out for ults, then back to Zhong to shield and chill til his ult is up?
Already got a decent hydro artifact set for Childe, but I think I'm gonna grind this domain a bit more. There's room for improvement in the substats, and I don't have a decent cryo set yet. Even though I'm not planning to use it any time soon anyway, it is really good. It's nice that the domain is one of the smoothest ones to clear, at least with using Bennett as main dps. Can just completely ignore the mechanic and constantly heal through the damage.
On the other account, definitely loving Albedo so far. Enjoying him with Jhongli, but I don't have decent artifacts yet over there since I'm still a ways from AR45, so I'm still just rolling things with a crescent pike. I suspect that he would be a better support for someone who can actually use the elemental mastery boost, but I'm sure I can find a way to get some use out of that in the remaining slots in the party.
Logged on and got the last gems I needed for a 10 pull and got both Bennett C1 and Albedo. Got everything I wanted from the banner plus the 5* in about 8000 primogems, so I'm feeling pretty good. From the videos I've seen, Albedo seems like good fun.
I seriously hate this game sometimes, when it decides to remind me of some of the...limitations of mobility and control.
Challenge to fight two of the fire agent guys in 60s, right by a little drop off and a little lean-to. They bounce all over, going up and down the ledge, under the little roof, etc, just the most camera-fucky climb-up-and-down nonsense imaginable. Several times I was completely trouncing them and had it easy and then they got near a ledge or under the building and it all went to shit.
I finally write it off for later, decide I'll come back when I'm near the upper end of power for the WR instead of being fresh in it and can just nuke them down as intended, walk a few steps away still feeling surly and run into one of the electro mages. Which aren't hard, exactly, but their entire thing is 'you can't control what you aim at, isn't this annoying?'

Kind of? Since I have favonius pike on Zhongli I try to work in a few autos to generate particles but honestly there isn’t much downtime. I probably respawn the flower and pillars too much which is inefficient. However, to give you an idea, this achievement popped a few minutes after my last post on a frost lawachurl
Not doing anything special with the rotation, just needed something beefy enough to survive more than a couple meteors!
My dream overhaul for Genshin is like, make the aim key work as Z-targeting for non-archers, add a double jump, make it so you only climb if you push/hold the right button against a climbable surface...and if I'm really reaching, aerial combos.

Yeah, I've been noticing this a lot with the new area. I think its just all the mountainous terrain makes everything a lot more cramped, which then highlights camera issues. Couple that with a bunch of mobs that like to hop around and retreat and yeah its definitely triggering some frustrations.
The new cryo cicins are really bugging me. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but their shield seems to basically instantly regen constantly. I've got two pyro in the party so I can break it easily, but a second later she teleports and its back to full strength. Takes forever to whittle the health bar down, especially since she likes to teleport all over the place and I have to keep hunting her down.
