I do have to say as one of the five people who bought marvel's avengers the series x version looks and runs so nice and that's on performance mode not even quality
The quality modes frame rate is quite good, it says it’s 30 but feels much smoother than that. Haven’t tried performance tho yet so I’ll probably notice the difference then
Got my stimmy. Gonna pick up another Cyberpunk controller and charge stand as backups.
The controller is neat, but using it is going to make it less neat.
Get the Cyberpunk hard drive too for the full set. The 5TB one if you're feeling flush.
I already have a Cyberpunk external drive. 2TB, though. Didn't know a 5TB existed. But I already have a full set. I just want backups of the two most likely to breakdown.
Why apologise? I haven't played since the last update. Been wanting to see if they fix those broken skills. Especially since some of them are critical to my build.
I'm actually pretty sure I'll need to restart from the beginning anyway so I don't accidentally get any weird issues with an old save. It's not a big deal, except for all the side stuff, I'm barely through any of it. I didn't find any of the crashes too annoying since they weren't common. But - and I expected this - the game just isn't all that compelling. I keep wanting it to be Shadowrun. (And I'm almost certain that would get fucked up, too.)
He got banned before too long but I'd like to highlight @Tommatt (who came back not so secretly as @RickRude and then got banned again) he was a decent guy who played games with me a lot back in the day. We played a lot of Mortal Kombat and he was a funny guy. He unfortunately passed recently. May he rest in peace.
Oh damn, that's awful. I only really knew him as RickRude, but it wasn't that long ago he was still posting here. RIP, and condolences to his friends and family. And thank you immensely for letting us know, the nature of a forum can very easily mean something like this can happen and no-one would know, even with un-banned users.
May I please ask what happened, if you know? (Feel free to take it to PMs or say "no" if you'd rather.)

Yeah, I just heard myself from someone associated with him. I only played a bit of Streets of Rage 4 with him (and also sent him my spare Series X). Very sorry to hear that as well.
I'd love to know what's going on with my Series X lately. It keeps disconnecting from my WiFi for some reason, and won't find it until I restart the console, while everything else is picking it up just fine. It hasn't been duper-frequent, but noticeably more than I'm used to.
Incidentally, do you have to be online just to view your screen captures and clips? It wouldn't let me look at the one I'd just taken until I got back online. I thought these were stored to the console unless you upload them?
Strangely, games I had pinned to my home screen weren't showing up there until I reconnected, either.
Quick resume is acting a little spotty as well. Had to restart Crash 4 when I went to start playing last night, and again after the reset. I've seen it work even after being unplugged, and it worked again after the restart, but that's just a bit weird.
Uh oh, that's certainly not normal. This is going to sound obvious--and probably not even that helpful--but have you tried bypassing any surge protector/power strip you're using, or a different wall outlet? Not as a permanent step necessarily, but it would be good to rule that out.
I haven't tried that -- I'm not even sure if it will reach the outlet. I'll look into it if things persist.
Is that in regards to a particular issue I mentioned, or all of the above?
Okay, I finally got to looking into this, and unfortunately, I don't have a wall outlet that's really available for that. Just one with two sockets, both occupied by power strips.
I played around with it a little more, and it's curious -- the feature seems to work, but on only one game at a time. I'm sure I had Crash 4 and MK11 Ultimate both set on that, but now it seems if I start another game, I lose the Quick Resume of the original.

Started doing Hellblade, kinda surprised at how much fighting there is in it. It kinda does the PoP 2008 (best PoP) exploration/puzzle combat bit but the fights are like a million waves and I don't understand why someone thought that was cool.
I do like how it does the collectibles, but apparently I missed a collectible during the section I was on and since there's no chapter select, or save file I'm debating restarting to get it. I'm not that far in, but yeah. idk.
“I used to draw, hard to admit that I used to draw...”

There is no chapter select, and there's more than one story stone that's immediately off-track from a point-of-no-return.
The combat isn't hard, but Ninja Theory's difficulty progression is "Hey, why don't we put eight guys here instead of six. Or ten instead of weight?" There's only four or five different enemy types, not including bosses, and they're not even that different among them. Hopefully all of these issues are addressed in the sequel.
Missables have fast become my biggest annoyance in games. They always end up making me follow a guide which saps all the enjoyment out of the game. DQ11 is my new holy grail since it's 100+ hours with some significant world changes and none of the achievements or key items are missable.

I think every fight I've been in has been like 4-5+ waves. Like, even the first combat was vs legion. o_o;
I'm assuming that each area has one stone to collect though, idk. I just know when I got to the end just before a boss fight I was at 4/5. :V

I mean the combat definitely is hard in hellblade, even if it’s not complex it’s still got a lot of precise timing and long stretches of fighting. I liked the feel of it and the look but it was definitely too repetitive and overdone
Playing The Medium game and while I like it man the frame rate is bad, 30fps for the most part but in some places during like cutscenes it dips into what looks like 20s. I don’t think it’s a case where only next gen tech could run it, so much as the devs weren’t exactly good at optimising it even on series x, and so good luck getting it to run on last gen. I mean there’s the double screen thing but even when it’s not split there’s still frame rate drops and visual hiccups and sluggishness abound, lots of jaggies and artifacting too, with an overall blurriness that ruins some of the great detail
Artistically it works very well but it isn’t what I would call a showcase for next gen and that’s probably why Microsoft didn’t lean to heavily on advertising it as such

I stared at this post for a long time wondering how playing Hellblade on medium settings tanked the framerate and doubled the screen? Then realized you meant The Medium (TM) video game software product. Definitely style it a bit when the title is a word that coincidentally means lots of things in this context or you'll leave pudding heads like myself in the dust.
Decided to give the original Alan Wake a dl just to see, and damn do I love it! Not a huge fan of the combat, but the story and the world have totally hooked me. Auto HDR does the game a real service. I feel like I’m about halfway through? Chapter 4. Anyway I can’t wait to play more. Another Gamepass win!
I’ll have to check out Alan wake at some point, I’ve enjoyed everything else they’ve done. Tho I just did a spooky game with The Medium so I’ll probably play something else first
Medium was good, had some decent ideas, very familiar gameplay which is fine, art was good, and despite being blurry and a bit technically rough the visuals nailed that “almost a photo” vibe for the environments
At the end they have this heartfelt message saying they put their heart and soul into it and please leave a review and it links you to the Microsoft store to fill out a review. You’d have to be a real bastard to leave something negative at that point but I’m sure people have
Titanfall 2 might literally be the greatest first person shooter ever made, and makes EA play worth it for that alone already
The only reason I'd disagree with that is that Titanfall 2 is so often available even in Ultimate Edition form for absolute peanuts so really there's no excuse not to own it rather than rely on a sub service.
I bought and the dlc simply to support respawn . Also bought fallen order cause it’s great ever since they killed Visceral they are the only reason EA gets money from me .

I'm really liking the new Xbox headset, it feels premium for the price. Sounds nice too.
@Local H Jay so I have had mine for the weekend and have been using it on the PC using an official second generation microsoft xbox wireless adapter.
I have noticed a TON of stutter/disconnect when listening to music or watching movies... far less when playing games. And while it appears to be getting better over time I was / still might be genuinely worried I have a bum unit. The wireless adapter has been flawless with my v1 elite controller for nearly a year now, so I know its not that... maybe due to the higher bandwidth needs of headphones combined with me living in an apartment building in manhattan means that 2.4Ghz might be an ongoing issue. Or maybe its the Ryzen USB issue... I dunno.
When they work they are fantastic; great sound quality, and I adore having both my macbook and my PC going through the same headset without needing a bunch of complex nonsense.
Have you experienced any audio dropoff or stutter since you have had them?

Can't say I have, that's unfortunate! I've only paired it to my Xbox so far, I'll try pairing to my phone and watching some media and get back to you
Yeah it's probably just nostalgia speaking but it feels like the end of an era. I think this is just part of getting older, or something like that is what I'm going to tell myself anyways.

Yeah it is easy for me to just reflexively not like the change when I realize I have in one way or another been on xbox live for almost 20 years.
Xbox Live worked though, and claimed the name to where it's synonymous with Xbox.
Xbox Network sounds not only too similar to PSN but also like a deep cable channel.
worth noting that its 'network' with a lower case 'n'. that might seem like a small/inconsequential difference but i don't think we're going to see 'Xbox Network' as a brand itself. rather they'll refer to the network that powers all Xbox iteration(console, PC apps and xCloud), instead of Live which was a service built handle console online functionality specifically.

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
Earlier today, Twitch put out a tweet advertising for the upcoming [email protected] showcase they're running with Microsoft, and then soon after deleted it. Why?
well, in the image in the tweet:
