Anyone know if the Darkmoon achievements will remain available when the spring expansion rolls around? A friend thinks they'll be locked but I haven't heard anything about it.
There are a couple that would take quite some time to grind out, like summon 200 Greyboughs.
I don't think there's been any official statement, but my money is on the achievements will be available to complete as they are now, but they'll remove the XP rewards. Seems like just the right amount of dickishness.
i was up against a Rakanishu who was going Beasts with like two triple Macaws one normal Macaw two Goldrinns Rivendare and a taunted up Rabid Saurolisk.... So I hit up T6 and I was like "oh shit, a Zapp! That'll be an easy win since it'll snipe his Rivendare!" wrong, cause he pumped his Rivendare to be like a 17/23 or some shit wow crazy
so next turn i ditched Zapp and pulled Argent Braggart ez win 8-)

I am batting like .800 lately. Put me in the record books, baby!
Edit: Side note: The XP achievements mega suck. I think I've completed like two just incidentally playing my "get quests done and climb some ranks" decks on ladder. You're going to get basically very little XP from achievements unless you go out of your way to create decks/craft required cards and grind out games trying to get them.
Oh, speaking of the thing I noted yesterday about multiple T4 Darkmoon Prizes in games that go to turn 20/24/etc.! Last night I ended up in a full AFK game, so I got to see what happens if you get a slew of T4 prizes. The most interesting thing I found was that multiple Friends and Family Discounts do indeed stack. After playing 2 of them, minions cost only 1 gold to buy. I got another one a number of turns later, at which point minions became completely free. It's totally ludicrous and something that would take astronomical odds to see in practice, but it was pretty amusing nonetheless.

Yeah I totally get the point of Turn 16 Prizes now. They're designed to just help you end the fucking game.
Turns out, a 109/109 will kinda do that quite easily.
From a couple evenings of watching streams, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say none of the 3 new BG heroes seems strong in their release incarnation. Which I'm fine with, because it's annoying when an OP new hero is only available to people with the pass. Silas was pretty meh at his release too. Maybe his buff in this patch will get him to "decent" status?

N'zoth can end up being an absolute clown fiesta with enough good deathrattles + treasures to pump up/protect baron

Yes, I did see a game where someone got the nuts with early Spawns and bomb bots followed up with an early Baron off a triple on T4, but I feel like that's more the exception than what you will typically get. It's like Flurgl/Chenvaala, where if you hit those consistent Murloc/Elemental taverns you just pop off and shoot to top 1/2, but their overall stats are bad because Bob likes to be a dick and offer you garbage.
WTF, I just had a Battlegrounds game end suddenly, giving me second place, with me and 1 player left after I had just eliminated the third remaining player (in other words, I wasn't dead). I've never seen that before. Why the fuck has this game gotten so buggy?
Edit: Mother fuckballs it happened again. What is this shit?

winstreaked from diamond 5 to legend on NA without dropping a single game, pretty sure this is The List
Out of curiosity, what's the mulligan strategy? Is it just hard mull for Custodian/Knuckles? Do you keep anything if you don't have those?
Given that they are by far the highest drawn/played winrate cards in the deck
Yes, hard mull for custodian and knuckles

There have been a few Hero skins that I've thought about buying through the years, but both the Garrosh and Jaina "Book of Heroes" skins have not been one of them. Those things are fucking hideous.

The only skin I just purchased that wasn’t a part of some expansion bundle was the Sylvanis hunter skin. And only because I liked the look.
Answer: "To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women." To accidently queue up in Wild with a T3 standard deck, find yourself up against a T1 Wild deck, and to beat the crap out of them anyways despite them having their ideal draw.
Civics is not a consumer product that you can ignore because you don’t like the options presented.

- B.A.N.A.N.A.S.: SUPER GOOD. That's +10/+10 on anything you want, or you can spread it out, I guess. Extremely good though. I bought a 2/4 Hydra and turned it into a 12/14 that very turn. 4/5
As a note for anyone who hasn't actually picked BANANAS yet, like with Mukkla's personal bananas, each one has a small chance to be a +2/2 banana, so on average, this prize is actually more like +12/12.

A quest shaman was able to lightning bloom double use yogg. For the most epic ending to a game I’ve ever played. First yogg was spells, which worked out in my favor. Followed by rod of roasting. Which also worked out in my favor. Just incredible.
At first I was fairly cool on the treasures but they do help smooth out games and mitigate RNG
I really really hope they stay. It just feels really good now. And there's some prizes that can *really* help out specific heroes, too, like three free rerolls for Millhouse or Aranna. That kinda stuff is neat.
My favorite thing is ramping to T3 on 6 gold turn by getting the 2 gold prize. You get to be Omu for a turn, level and buy one, and then you get two T3 minions the next turn.

How critical is Instructor Fireheart, Beasteh? If I can just run Bogstrok Clacker or Serpentshrine Portal I'd like to get away with not crafting her.
My list last month didn't have her, and I think that I had a similar win rate on my Legend trip.
Far Sight might be a better replacement IMO. In my experience, the #1 overriding goal of the deck is to get a weapon equipped ASAP. Far Sight helps you do that; the Portal overloads you and slows down that goal, and while the Claker is fine it's not getting you the weapon faster.
I'm thinking of giving budget (Fireheart-less) Evolve Shaman a go for my dad legend push this month and plan to go with a replacement since I imagine this deck will be nerfed in a way where I will be sad to have crafted a legendary for it.
What about a Novice Engineer instead of Far Sight? It gives your deck one more minion for possible Coaster/Mogu/Giant synergy, but of course you don't get that possible discount for a nutty swing card if Far Sight hits the right thing. Of course if Sight hits a 0 or 1 drop you're mega sad.

The best and worst combo deck in Hearthstone are the exact same decks.
It’s an infinite combo that ends the game after 15+ turns.
I love it.
I really hope that I never come up against it on ladder. But if I do, I’ll let them do it.
Skip to 8:46. Of course this one ended a little differently...
the part that really gets me is that on Turn 16 your biggest unit was only 84/84
how fucking long did that game go on for?!
