Just watched Zalae get only 25 seconds to play his turn because the animations in his previous fight were so fucking slow. Good thing for that BETA tag!
Edit: And this was at the end of the game, when turns are supposed to be 60+ seconds.
I lost because he got 4 knuckles (drew 2 and then 2 hoard pillagers).
So much fun.
I created a death rattle Hunter deck and stuck a Stickyfingers in there just for all the shamans running around at Diamond 5. And it worked today! I stole a Knuckles on Turn 5 before it could be destroyed so their Hoard Pillagers were useless.

I always seem to do well in the first BG game of the 'reset' and today is no exception:
Rag and Taunts. +1/+1 every time your Taunts are attacked Guy and Taunts That Generate Other Taunts is just unfair when you also include the whole +10/+10/Divine Shield/Windfury prize on him.

So my early impressions of the old gods seemed to be spot on, according to the top 20% stats:
Although none of them appear to be absolute dumpster tier, neither has any cracked the magical 4.5 rating to be what could reasonably considered a "strong" hero. C'Thun has managed to creep close, though.
I haven't seen any good runs with him yet to see how people are playing him, though. Do you play him like an even weirder curved version of the 1 mana HP heroes like Maiev and Rafaam that try to use their hero power almost every turn? It just seems to me like his hero power does almost nothing in the late game if you haven't been cultivating it every turn since the second (or like do you just take the hit and hero power even on turn 1 hoping to find a token in the first two taverns?).

My only good C'Thun game has been jamming it every turn basically, yeah. Like from the 5 gold turn on, otherwise it scales far too slowly. Or the 4 gold turn if you found a token.
Or, put another way, the moment you're adding more than +4/+4 worth of stats to your board each turn is a pretty solid return for 2 gold, and it scales dramatically from there. But the problem is getting it there in the first place. Wait too long and it's far too slow. So you have to do it early, practically every turn, play off curve, sometimes even level HP instead of level buy a minion.
It also seems highly predicated on your first few purchased minions being ones that you won't hate keeping through the rest of the game (e.g., a mech that you could later Annoy-o-Module, a Murloc that you can slam Poisonous on, etc.). Ironically C'Thun would have been happy if Righteous Protector hadn't been pulled out in the very same patch.
i was looking through my collection and i have somehow lost access to quite a few hero skins i paid for previously
sylvanas hunter
mecha jaraxxus warlock
king rastakhan AND morgl shaman
deathwing warrior
khadgar mage
what on earth
i wonder if there is any way i can make a ticket about this since i did pay money for these skins and now they are greyed out for me
That has happened to me. Close out the game and end the task. Open it up again. If that doesn’t resolve put in a ticket through battlenet. They are actually super responsive with paid content you are having issues accessing.
DH decks down to T3, Highlander Hunter down to T2.
Evolve Shaman apparently eating up all the room for Aggro Shaman, which is supposedly also top tier if just evolve synergy gets nerfed. They also say that if Shaman gets nerfed, Rogue will dominate in turn, but you can probably build CWar to beat both. That matchup chart for CWar looks pretty rough for that claim, but they think is it's people running bad lists.
Really I know come and out of the game for various reasons
I did want to get the scholo set for the lich Kel'Thuzad hero so I wonder if they will sell him seperate down the road but it was the whining from my brother about his frustration over unlocking the demon hunter and I really don't feel like giving more money than i do to Activision
I am tempted to get Garrosh and the other portraits in the taven pass deal. I don't understand the reward track? But do you only get one of the skins or all for completing it?
I wonder if they will bring back sylvanas and some of the other original skins to buy since I felt $10 was a steep price back then
They've never put up a pre-order cosmetic up for sale again and I doubt they will. Doing so would undermine the FOMO mindset that encourages whales to spend.
For the track, you get your choice of one hero portrait at level 50 with the intention being you get a different one each expansion.
For the regular shop portraits like Sylvanas there is a decent chance they'll return at some point but no guarantee. I know Khadgar made a return after being from a region-exclusive event, and there isn't the threat to pre-order sales from doing so that the others have.
It will be interesting to see if they actually go 10 expansions without touching the level 50 reward portraits. And then to see what will happen after that. Either way, they've left themselves a lot of runway for that issue.

I'm pretty sure that WOW has put some of the "new for six months" mounts on the cash store well after the fact. I suspect that Hearthstone will do similar with cosmetics at some point.
Civics is not a consumer product that you can ignore because you don’t like the options presented.

There’s also still an achievement of “play a T6 minion by the 8 gold turn” that you can’t do without him (that I know of).
3g T2
4g T3
5g T4
6g T5
7g T6
So that works.
Galakrond is not in the hero pool right now
I’ve played 9 games today against evolve shaman. 8 had the weapon on time or early. One didn’t.
It’s literally a casino deck.
Edit: playing shaman 10 now. He’s drawn both knuckles by turn 5.
I survive both knuckles and he top decks pillager.

So much fun.
It just took conceding after I lost/tied until my rating had dropped 5000 points.
Totally worth it!
