The battleground changes make it so much better than it was before, thankfully.
Beasts are prob still playable, but not because of frog combo being stupid in the end game. Similarly demons seem a bit harder to get going while still having capability to get big and nasty. I actually won with a menagerie build again, which was just impossible to do in the last patch.

Beast end game will just go back to what it was, Goldrinn, Baron, and Macaws.

On a serious note though, the BG changes definitely feel way better yeah. I am absolutely stunned how Doomsayer managed to make it into the game in that state. Literally would produce 4+ gold each turn, sometimes even getting a free triple, like. The value on that card was so fucking insane you literally would just pick that up and snag a bunch of token minions and then economy your way into victory. I had a single fucking turn where I got eight fucking cards from Doomsayer, creating two triples for free. Made me more fucking mad than Frogs, honestly.
Frog feels a lot better. It's not as absurd early game anymore, it's basically reduced to just being an early game minion, but the falloff is so sharp now that it doesn't work as a lategame comp, which, good. That shouldn't ever be a thing, where a T2 minion is the centerpiece of your comp. And it's still a decent early game minion, especially with Macaw. So basically it feels like, yknow, balanced now.
Demons are still fine, I think. You've still got early game Wrath Weaver scaling, you've got midgame Bigfernal scaling, they still scale really well lategame with Ur'zul and Felbat. They just get a way less explosive start to the well deserved Doomsayer nerf.
I found it pretty interesting that they moved Master of Realities down to T5 though, uh. I thought that card was honestly kind of nuts as a Tier 6 minion already, like... this was a game prior to the patch, but:
I had that Molten Rock all game and a T6 minion started outscaling it like crazy. IT'S A GOOD MINION Y'ALL. When I first saw it I was like "Yeah that's Garr 2.0" but nah it's ten times the champ Garr could ever have hoped to have been.
First post-patch game was against nerfed Questline Warlock, and they still won.
Well, they didn't so much win as I lost by drawing like absolute shit. Full mulling garbage and still not getting to play a card until turn 3 is not the way to win at card game.

To be fair, you ended up with a really ideal board for Master (Golden Party and eventually double Rag). It's a card with great potential but it kind of requires you roll into him with the right setup of board buffers.
Wondering if it's correct to toss quest in the Odd Hunter mirror. Free hero power in the midgame is nice but you're fairly card limited and have 1 less shot at Toxic Reinforcements or Aimed Shot/KC. Since you've both got 0 healing one of you is usually in lethal range before Tavish does anything.
If you hero power from 2 through 7 that's already 18 damage, then you just need 12 more damage from 10 cards and 16 mana.

Yep can confirm. Just had a Beast mirror where one was running Frogs and I was running Goldrinn.
It's crazy how bad the performance of the Shop is on mobile. The game overall runs OK, not great on my phone, but the shop lags like crazy, runs at about 1 FPS, drops inputs from the bad lag, etc. You'd think the part of the game they'd be focused on making sure doesn't run like shit is the one where they actually make their money, and yet...

Maybe they just want you to buy somewhere they don't have to fork over 30% to the platform holder.

nah that's like a fun conspiracy theory but there's no system to transition people between storefronts there. the number of people who are both mobile and PC is almost certainly a rounding error compared to the people who just play mobile.
I'm really not a fan of UtH but every list I see is running it. It feels pretty dead a lot of the time but I may just be using more hero powers for board control than other people do.
Viper is a little meh too, it's sort of a nod to Pirate Warrior but even in that matchup it's usually just a 1 mana cycle.
Scorpid is great at delaying giants by a turn in Evenlock though, or playing it into a Rokara turn to get a free trade.
Some people are running Beardo as a psuedo Tavish but I didn't try it.
Platinum 5 for the first time ever, in Wild, on the strength of last month’s Aggro Pally deck.
Pirate warriors were my final boss 3 times. Finally won against a Druid who built up a full board of 34/34s via emptying his deck just before passing back to me so I could swing for lethal off the back of some luck and card maximization.
I'm so sick of the solo campaign fights that are "slog through most of your deck against a tough opponent, kill them, SURPRISE, ANOTHER FULL HEALTH OPPONENT WHO GETS A TURN TO CLEAR YOUR BOARD AND DRAWS A HAND AND GETS A FRESH DECK AND YOU GET NOTHING".
I'm trying to get to Diamond 5 before Friday and I can't get over this hump. What beats handbuff Paladins reliably? I've tried Quest Rogue with the Assassinate minions and the Fizzflash quest rewards. I've tried a Mage that relies on Hero Power and Fire spells.
What Yilias said. Taunt/Aggro druid is your best bet. If you don't like any of those options, I think Quest Mage still fares reasonably against Handbuff Paladin. Better than hero power mage at least, if you want to try to do it with Mage.

Here's Kripp playing through the Mercenaries tutorial/starting content if anyone was interested in seeing that.

think deck autofill may have broken
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
