Is the PSVR worth it? Has it gotten any cheaper? I've always been kind of interested in it, but at this point should I just wait for a PS5VR? Is that even happening?

PSVR has been very good for me but admittedly, I haven't tried any other VR. But it was always incredibly smooth and immersive and the games I had for it were a lot of fun.
PS5VR is happening but not until next year at the earliest. All we've seen is the controllers and had some specs 'leaked', so grains of salt there.

Overall I didn't think it was worth it. I played about a dozen VR games a few years after it came out, and then just used it for playing Overwatch.
Best game (imo) was Astro Bot Rescue Mission, and at its best Astro Bot is Mario But Not As Good
Omg that Star Wars Squadrons game was horrible in VR. And Skyrim VR was overwhelmingly hideous.
Not a great investment.

NMS and the Batman game were really fun diversions. I thought Skyrim VR was cool until I ran into the spiders lol.
I literally could not make it through the opening wagon ride of Skyrim. I looked this way, looked that way, looked at the character talking to me and went "nope."

Beat Saber is great and watching 3D blu-rays on PSVR has been immensely enjoyable the last couple of years. But with the PS5 version on deck for next year and the move controllers being less than precise at times. It wouldn't make sense to jump in it at this point.

Surely you can just hack out the facebook integration. Someone will have done that.
(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.
Ya the Oculus Quest could be the single greatest implementation of VR ever created now or in the future. If it requires me to connect it to a Facebook account than as far as I'm concerned it doesn't exist as an option.
Man I love all the twists on stuff the ghosts of tshumia dlc does. I love when dlc takes all the stuff you’ve been doing in the main game and adds twists to it

Oh but I have a friend who swears up and down that Beat Saber makes it worth it.
I have an Occulus Rift, and Beat Saber with full mod support and custom tracks aplenty (literally hundreds) has made it quite the workout and an absolute blast to play for hundreds of hours since I got it 1.5-2 years ago.
I don't know if I'd feel the same way limited strictly to the PS version's song list and paid track packs. It'd be nice if they were going full Rock Band with it and had hundreds available (expensive as that would become, of course), but as amazing a game as it is, I don't know if I'd recommend it as the sole/primary reason to get a VR rig (I have played on PSVR at a friend's place, it was good times at a New Years party several years ago).
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!
I am still having the problem where the controller is not charging in rest mode.

I was actually able to order a PS5 through Walmart back on the 12th... which said it'll be ready be October 6th.
My question is, why say you have inventory (and there has been at least one more "drop" of units through Walmart) when you are taking nearly 2 months to get them out?

I would much rather them just take preorders and make enough to fill them when they can rather than randomly announce drops for scalpers to pick up and double their money on. I would prefer Sony do this and not Walmart though, so I understand your frustration.

I know that frustration, but at the end of the tunnel is a PS5 and that thing is pretty fun.

I picked up a PSVR kit in a Black Friday sale coming up on 2 years ago and it's definitely been worth it IMO, it almost made me lose interest in 'flat' games completely for a while there. For the full experience you do need to make sure you get move controllers for a lot of the games, and the Aim controller is amazing for the few games that use it well.

If the rumours are true about next month's PS5 game on PS+ then it looks like I'll need to buy another controller.
That being said, rumors are Overcooked! (PS5), Predator and Hitman 2 (PS4). Kind of lackluster again IMO, but still excited to finally give Predator a spin.

My brother had the same thing happen - they said it would be a month or two out, and then it just randomly shipped like 3 days later.
Hopefully that happens to you and one day soon you just wake up to a shipping notification!

You can have a little bit of fun with it playing solo but a large part of the fun of that game is the chaos of trying to work with other people and failing miserably.

The All You Can Eat version can also be done entirely online.
One of my favorite moments playing Overcooked was when one of the guys I was playing with fell off an ice floe while carrying a cooked pot of soup, which landed on the ice floe that was drifting upwards off screen. Over the headset, I hear him wail plaintively "The soooooooup!" as it drifted away, never to be seen again.

If you want to hack out your ability to access the store and get software maybe?
I see I didn't know that's how you got games to use on it.

Had to boot it in safe mode and reset the resolution.

Exactly what happened with my order.
Next PS+ drop is September 7th
Kind of a bum catch this month since I already own Hitman 2. Oh well, can't win 'em all.
