    network address translation is supposed to work to make games get network priority - sort of - but often do not. Might be taking an extra dig at people who leave their mics on.

    Also, Gabe and Tycho have a history of problems dealing with their NAT.

    I suppose "Illusory" may be the least strict NAT type possible.

    Point of order: I believe parties first appeared on the Xbox (around Halo 2), not on the 360.

    Back in MW2 days, I went with the option of snipping the plug off an old, crappy headset and leaving it inserted in my controller.

    Fast-forward a decade, to the era of global mute being a menu option, and of course, somebody actually set up a Kickstarter for this now mostly obsolete low-tech solution and called it “The Silencer.”
