I splurged on a NeueChair shipped from SecretLabs as they were doing a sale last year and I really hate the racecar style chairs. It's the most comfortable thing and doesn't look out of place in the "office" part of my loft.
Having the controls on the armrests for recline and height is an absolute revelation, and this thing is sturdy.
How much adjustment do the armrests themselves have? It looks like you can raise and lower the rest surface, but are the arms able to be moved forward and back or left to right at all?
You can move them up and down and then swivel them into three positions (pointed in, straight forwards and pointed out). Also, they're mounted on a slight angle so the higher they go the more forwards they are, but that's about all the adjustment you can do on the armrests

Thanks. I hadn't looked at that chair before, but it seems pretty solid and I'm in the market for one.
ok hot shots, whats your idea of what a tasteful office chair looks like
has tons of character
shows you take charge of your own solutions and aren't bound by convention
leaves you on a fun, radical new viewing angle and adds some unpredictability to an otherwise boring office job
unlikely to be "borrowed" by co-workers or office looters
additional goodies in the mystery bag! could they be leaves? used tissue papers? the possibilities are endless!

My work office chair was $54 from Staples, because my office is tiny and I don't have enough room to have arm rests with all the physical moving around of things that I do.

Found this buried in their website, it actually has a good deal more adjustment than I realized. I think I'll pull the trigger on this one
I absolutely love it. I ended up buying it because my last chair was made of plastic and ended up warping under me sitting on it for 3 years, so by the end of its days it was giving me shooting pains in my shoulders and other weird pains in odd places
Now if anything starts hurting I know it's because my son has moved something whilst I wasn't looking so I just need to adjust the arm / seat / back / tension. It weighs a lot

What's up, office chair thread! I mentioned a few posts back that I got a new ikea office chair, but let me share the dutiful workman that saw me through high school, college, and my thirties:

I'm short but broad, so I ended up bashing the omega and titan secretlab chairs together because I need a wider seat and back, but a shorter seat rise and narrower armrests
Damnit fuck I just checked and even Soldier Supreme has white boots. I guess I've watched the newer versions (live action) too much where he just dresses like A Dude but also wears a skull shirt.

In your defense, it's a ridiculous choice and always has been.
I prefer to believe he actually intentionally orders white leather combat boots because he cares about two things and two things only, murder-revenge and his aesthetic.
My best friend suggested we each buy and build a LEGO set together, so we're looking for something that's cheapish, small, and cool and/or cute. Anyone got any suggestions? I haven't really looked at LEGO in years and years so I'm unfamiliar with what's out there anymore.

I've been thinking about this line all week for some reason, so it was downright jarring to stumble across it here
"Two spikes would be an extravagance."
this chair desperately wants to be an aeron, I wonder how it compares
same warranty as HM, which is extremely nice
Do you feel the need to stick forks in your thighs between courses?

For a quarter the price, it's likely worth trying out.
brand new aerons are not 2400 bucks, and I can get a used good condition aeron for the same price as that
BUT, if they're reasonably comparable, that warranty is extremely nice
I'm saying I want pictures
