I almost bought £300 of RPG books yesterday, for a system I'm currently not playing, and which I already own on pdf
I got as far as the PayPal confirmation before realising that the money will be better spent on (short term) conveyancing fees and movers, and (long term) a new kitchen and bed
But now the website is emailing me about the books I left in the basket, taunting me with the optional mechanics and flavor text...

That's how my buddy got two new Xbox Series Xs last year, and how he gave me one for Thanksgiving. He paid for both, but didn't feel like cancelling the order and perhaps not being able to order just one. Then he didn't feel like reselling it, so he gave it to me. I should give it to our other friend since I haven't turned on a console all year (I'm more of a PC guy)

Same. I've been frustrated by multiple times I get the notification it's back in stock only to log in and see it's sold out again. This time I seem to have ordered in time, but I'm still waiting for the confirmation as well.
Edit: Oh, it has moved to the warehouse stage. I guess that's a good sign.

i was moving so fast that I didn't make an account and didn't leave the confirmation screen open afterward so i guess your experience gives me hope but still no confirmation. It does appear to still be purchasable with a 2 limit though which is a new part of the experience. They haven't stayed in stock for more than 30m before. I got a paypal charge email at least.
Edit: well I think I double ordered. Still haven’t gotten a Lego email but PayPal sent me two emails about charging. Honestly may just watch and see what happens and see if I get a secret Santa target that liked horizon. Or… hear me out; taller neck
I now have my watch and my apron. The apron is not as water resistant as I was hoping and after a few hours of cleaning out a 300+ gallon fermenting tank my shirt is about soaked through. Could be sweat though.
My watch does watch things but I immediately got overwhelmed by the technology of it and only use it for time telling.
I want to do some rampant consumerism, and I have the money to do it, but I just really don’t know what to spend my money on.
Amd I know it’s a super privileged spot to be in, but at the same time I 100% have the itch to buy shit and it’s very frustrating.

I've bought some things that I previously ruled out, like, things that I wanted ten years ago and maybe don't truly want but will still be happy with in their own way because they serve both as a memento of that time and like, in their practical form as an object I care about on a level that people outside the hobby might not recognize

The slats are all almost obliterated. Made of wood. To far apart for a memory foam mattress. No wonder my back hurts all the time. Hopefully the new one helps.
Now I'm sitting here waiting for them to show up with nothing to put my mattress back down on.
Are you using a box spring for a memory foam/latex mattress
If it's like one of the standard Casper style mattresses you need a foundation (which has slats that are very very close together)

Literally no one explained the difference to me when I got the new mattress in 2018 and put it on the old box spring
The thing I'm getting is a foundation with a steel frame with 6 inch spacing between the slats instead of 11 inches on the old thing.
Yeah, I made that mistake and returned my Casper mattress thinking it was the problem (and I also had worsening back pain at the time from my already bad back)
Then bought a different Canadian one which explained the Foundation thing
