Those 3 images with percentages on your menu screen...the hell are they for?
Those are the three main tentpoles of the narrative.
No real spoilers here past the main hook of the game
One is your street cred through actions, not levels. Like, what big things you have done that have raised your name towards becoming a legend.
Two is Silverhand's affinity towards you and him coming to peace with the world. You need to get it to a certain level to trigger certain ending options.
Three is your main quest - trying to retain who you are.
You can hover over them and get a little flavor text that explains what has recently happened for each of them.

But like a lot of shit in this game, it was probably meant for more but ended up getting cut. Mostly it's story/quest progression meters that are so vague and nebulous they cease to matter.
I just beat the game as well, and I am going to do myself a favor and let that be the end of the story for me with this game for a while.
By the time I come back to it, Ray Tracing will work with AMD hardware, bugs will be sorted out, and I can do the Lady V hacker route that is definitely top of the list.
So, probably mid next year sometime.
But man, what a fucking game. CDPR made a gem here.... it has some rough edges but they will sort it out, because the game made a crapload of money and they have always been good about supporting what they make.
Eeeehhhh, I'm skeptical. It is not playable without dlss on a 3080, so unless you're going to play it at like 1080...

AMD's RT hardware just isn't on par with Nvidias this gen.
Considering the leap in power they did between the 5000 and 6000 series, I fully expect them to be 100% competitive with Nvidia across the board with hardware next gen.
Now they just gotta do something about Nvidia's DLSS.
On a second playthrough I am amazed at the area in the cities that aren't used in any way by the main quest. Or the fact that the entire map makes sense, including places you really aren't meant to go to but can. Like little areas at the top of buildings that could just be low effort nonsense but someone actually made sure it still fits. Even the monorail, which you can't use, has people waiting and includes stairs to reach it.

Why does this game have a photo mode? I just want to go around taking pics of the NPCs up to their daily lives. Gonna end up spending more time taking photos than playing the game like No Man's Sky or Forza Horizon
By the way, the 20 body options are hilarious for any gang face-off. It's basically "I am death incarnate, just try me" and they respond with "uhhhhh, maybe another time".

You know...I can't help but feel that the game really wanted you to be conflicted with Johnny as a character.
But to me his character never really goes beyond "That old drunk uncle who never settled down and is now way past his prime" energy-wise.
Its like yeah Johnny the days when you bagged super hot chicks were really awesome I'll bet.
The attitude I tried to convey towards Johnny was something like "I agree on your anti-corpo worldview and will help you, but I think as a person you're an asshole"

So this time around I went with letting Johnny Silverhand taking control and teaming up with Rogue.
Damn, what a sequence.
I ultimately decided to have Johnny enter cyberspace.
All in all, I liked the ending. It was truly bittersweet, but legends don't have peaceful endings.
But as a huge fan of the game Soma, I just wanted to scream that there's now a digital copy of V and the V that's upset will always be upset. But, eh, sci-fi be like that.
All in all, a really good game.
I really hope they continue working on this game and eventually make a sequel.
The attitude I tried to convey towards Johnny was something like "I agree on your anti-corpo worldview and will help you, but I think as a person you're an asshole"
I think the point of johnny is that lots of people carry anti-estalbishment mindsets, he's one of the few insane enough to try to take them head on, on their shady terms. Going through the legal system is probably simply not an option, so instead you get radical youths whom find their own way to impact the system.
It's not bad, just that his character is about 2 feet deep in terms of motivations. If you don't like Keanu I'm sure he's a boring character.
The legendary clothes are all awful because there are no 1980's businesswomen legendaries
i found a legendary office skirt by climbing up like 3 stories of outdoor building in the area near Makako's office. it was like jump on a dumpster to a fire escape up to the roof and a little safehouse with a dead body and a bunch of money with that skirt.
I was very confused on what a red loot symbol meant
that might not be the exact spot but it was storywise

Guess who still hasn't gotten their collector's edition pre-order? Guess who also had their pre-order almost canceled the day before it was supposed to ship due to GameStop randomly wiping the payment data. Guess who has also called GameStop 5 times (and spent hours on the phone) to try and get their shipping information fixed, because the agent that confirmed the address over the phone while fixing the payment issue (and even read it back correctly TWICE) put down the wrong address. Guess who's been told 5 times by GameStop support that the issue was resolved and the address should be fixed in the system & with FedEx. Guess if the issue has actually been resolved. Guess who hasn't been able to resolve the issue with FedEx and either fix the address on their end or pick it up from a package center using an ID because GameStop specifically blocked any changes on this package not requested by them. Guess who wasn't able to select the "Pick it up from your local package center" option from the order details page on the GameStop website because it just errors out due to the address on the package not existing. Guess who's not getting the pre-order bonus due to that shipping separately through a different carrier and being too far along in the shipment process for any changes.
Guess who has two thumbs and is worried that after 8 years of waiting, and over a year and a half on pre-order that they aren't going to get their collector's edition.
P.S. Guess who's on call number 6 right now...
Welp, after an hour and a half on hold with GameStop, I quickly got them on a 3 way call with FedEx. GameStop confirmed their business partnership FedEx account number with FedEx and requested an address change for us while we were on the phone with them. FedEx rejected the request because that specific customer service agent was not verified by name to make those kinds of requests with FedEx...
After almost 3 weeks of dealing with this issue, my collector's edition finally came very late in the mail yesterday. The box was mangled as was much of the inner packaging, it even looked like someone had opened it to check it out before packing it back up while ripping and tearing various parts of the packaging in the process. Spent over an hour on hold with GameStop last night to try and resolve the issue. They wanted me to send it back for a replacement with no guarantee that they even have anymore that they could possibly replace it with, and mentioned that I might just get a refund instead. Considering that they have been sold out everywhere for a year and a half I wanted some kind of assurance that they would be sending another before I sent this one in. Ultimately I'd rather have a damaged CE with some kind of discount than nothing at all. They offered to transfer me to their escalations department, disconnected due to nobody answering there. Third time in a row that has happened when they tried to escalate my issue over the last few weeks, starting to think that there might not even be that higher level of support that they keep failing to transfer me to. Decided to try again in the morning. Almost an hour and a half on hold this time, person says they are going to escalate me, transfers me to the wrong department, have to be sent back to basic support. New person says that they are going to escalate me and just resets me on basic support, right back to the beginning of the queue, with the hour+ wait time. Hung up at that point.
Taking my CE to my local GameStop to return it, I'm done. I never got my pre-order bonus, I never got my 20 dollar pre-order reward, they almost canceled my order the day before it was supposed to ship, they changed my address to the wrong address and took almost 2 weeks after release to get it to me, and now that I've gotten it my CE is damaged to hell and back and their support can't guarantee that they can even send me a replacement. Screw all of this, I found another one online by pure chance and ordered it. Thanks for less than nothing Gamestop.
After a whole console crash late last night, I decided it was a decent time to take a break.
Getting back to it now, I got a game crash in about 2 minutes of zooming around the city on my bike. Started it up again, and crashed on the WB logo. Started it up again, and crashed on the WB logo. That’s concerning.
Great timing, 1.0.6 is now out. I don’t know if it’s gonna fix this, but it’s better than restarting the game over and over.

One really annoying visual thing I've noticed: When you're out in the badlands, and you can see car headlights/taillights in the distance...and as they get close they just disappear. The car itself never materializes. Not game breaking or "oh god unplayable", just something I can't unsee.

Hah, dunno how this was supposed to go, but had a boss fight in Act 2
with Sasquatch? Spotted her from afar, hacked and infected with all my nastiest malware, and she started doing laps. Just zooming around the arena as fast as she fuckin' could while her music starts pumping.
And then I hacked her again. And again. And she hasn't dropped or spotted me, so eventually I just run up to her and a boss fight starts, and she's at 100% health.
Cool!
Choices!
:tell_me_more:
I did something similar.
I think what's going on is her regen is through the roof. I didn't have much success solely with hacks, had to shoot a lot.

Improved memory management and stability, resulting in fewer crashes.

Does anyone have a reliable fix for the Delamain phone glitch? I'm really tired of him looking like a creep in the back of my phone calls or people on my screen cutting in half. Nothing I have found seems to work. I can still use my phone fine, he's just creeping in the background most of the time.
I’m almost a hundred hours into my second run , have cleared out all the open world events ( though I am apparently missing something in Pacifica that hasn’t appeared for me ) and a few more quests . Also have four cars left to buy . Really hope I haven’t missed anything that would force another playthrough. I have a third run planned but I was going to wait till I upgraded to the next gen some time next year for that ,
I got past the WB logo, then got a whole console crash again. But, it was on the same bridge where I got my last game crash (between arroyo and vista del rey). It’s possibly caused by an existing streaming issue that I’m starting to encounter more often, because I have a new faster bike and I’m doing a better job of avoiding traffic to not lose any speed. I’ll either drive slow or start fast-traveling (which I hate doing) to see if that mitigates it.
Excited to see how this game is gonna feel like once it’s out of early access.

Since my game works pretty well and hasn't crashed so much as once in 60 hours of play, I'm a bit nervous about patching it right before a major holiday... Watch it break now. >.>
Maybe the GPS is the way it is to help you keep your game running, because otherwise you’d have to restart every 5 minutes when you’re outdoors.

I think I just had my first instance of the game completely "forgetting" earlier actions. Spoilers for "Ex-Factor"
I swear I already killed Woodman earlier in the game. Maybe it was someone else I thought was Woodman? But he was alive and well for me to kill "again" just now. Maybe it's my fault and I'm misremembering who I actually shot, but knowing the game has issues with quest flags like this where it will have the wrong flags or "forget" past actions makes me wonder.

I haven't done that yet but he'd be in his office at Clouds after you get the shrink session with the "robohooker" as the game says

I’m studying for my board exams, so I won’t be picking this up until mid-Feb. But I haven’t seen any talk about the Trauma Team (admittedly not clicking on spoilers). I had kinda hoped that they would be a service you could purchase for your character or an organization you could work for.
It's pretty clear Trauma Team and the flying cop cars were meant to be part of the game, but you only see them during scripted stuff and, sometimes, on the ground already (like at a crime scene or something on random corners).
Otherwise, they don't do anything.
That's basically what TT and AVs are for "normal people". "Shit you see, hear about, and don't get to touch". There is less than no chance a street level merc would interact with Trauma other than trying to stay out of their way.

Oh god yes, the disappearing car thing is super obnoxious for me. There's great queues of the headlights coming towards me and about... 150m or so out they just vanish. Never once does a car actually make it to me.
