After a bunch of days rolling perfect snowboys, now my skills have left me completely. Tomorrow imma have to start time-travel cheesing to get the last few recipes I need. So disappointed with myself.

If we talking snowboy recipes, if it's anything like southern hemisphere he wont go away until march 10.

What I like about it best is...
(1) cooperative play with IRL friends and cool people on this forum
(2) meeting new people through diy swap parties etc.
(3) making mazes and puzzle games
I've noticed friends' kids enjoy the parts I find annoying (like villager hunting, fishing & baloon hunting), so I'm guessing a lot of that content is for younger players
And, regardless of age, it's not for everyone - if you don't enjoy it, no worries @Xaquin ; )

My kid absolutely loves the balloons. And visiting all her animal friends every day and giving them a thoughtful gift she wrapped. And then scattering things she crafted or bought wildly over the island so it looks like a nightmare junkyard.
Anyone got a list of the recipes that come from snowfolk vs. balloons? I wanna know when I'm done with snowfolk.
Unless the internet is lying to me, there should be 15 DIYs you get from the Snowfolk and 8 DIYs from balloons.
Generally speaking, icy items come from snowpeople, while snowy items come from balloons.
The snowfolk list:
Frozen Arch
Frozen Bed
Frozen Chair
Frozen Counter
Frozen Partition
Frozen Pillar
Frozen Sculpture
Frozen Table
Frozen Tree
Frozen-Treat Set
Ice Flooring
Ice Wall
Ice Wand
Snowperson Head
Three-Tiered Snowperson
The balloon list:
Falling-Snow Wall
Iceberg Flooring
Iceberg Wall
Ski-Slope Flooring
Ski-Slope Wall
Snowflake Pochette
Snowflake Wall
Snowflake Wreath (though you probably got this one from Isabelle)
EDIT: Wait, I didn't mention the Festive set you also only get from balloons for about another week. There's 13 of those - 14 if you count the Festive Wrapping Paper you get from Jingle.

Dang, I thought you were kidding. Well alright then.
So thread, I got bought a Switch for myself and the wife for Christmas, both didn't read the fine print where the special edition Animal Crossing Switch DOES NOT COME WITH THE GAME (5head) AND made the mistake of downloading Smash Bros. first. Once I free up some piddly hard-drive space (512GB SD card is on order, but won't be here for a week or more) I'll be bugging you for free stuff advice and support.
Between you and me, Peggy, I smoked this Juul and it did UNTHINKABLE things to my mind and body...

I screwed up today because the "head" wouldn't roll onto the "body" for some stupid reason but in trying to reposition the body it rolled onto the head JUST FINE. *table flip*
Whatever. I've got 14 DIYs from these jerks; how many more could they possibly have for me? EDIT: One, I guess...

I think it requires an open block all around the body or else it won't let you put the head on.
Okay, I'm going to bed now because I have to get up early and clean house and prepare for my two new 27" monitors of strength
So here are my codes:
SW-4975-8027-2890
and my dream code is: DA-6347-7802-8838
My island's name is Bunopolis!
Anyone who is not a jerk can add me and @ me if you want me to add you (cause I'm not going to add someone unless they tell me to because I'm an anxious person and I need you to make the first move :P)
@PirateQueen because you @'d me with your code, I'll add you in the morning between the sweeping and the screaming XD

Aha. Yeah I guess I have some tree problems there.
Although upon rechecking I have all 15 DIYs so suck it, Snowboys.
Just working through the tutorial, I expect all this code business will be explained once I make it a little farther in the game, yes-yes?
The friend code is through your Switch profile, not the game. ^_^ If you go to your profile at the top of the main screen when you start up the Switch, you can add friends from there. I'd take a screenshot, but my husband has the Switch right now. >_<
Also, my dream address is DA-2785-3615-7410, but I don't think I've updated it since August.
I just updated mine tonight (addy in sig with everything else). I need to do some serious gardening but until they make that an option in Island Designer it's not gonna happen.
The codes are Friend Codes you input into the Switch itself, you only need to do it to send a friend request to the other account, then they can accept you as friend. Or you can post your code (viewable from your profile) and people can send requests to you. In Animal Crossing's case you can visit the islands of people on your friend list if they're online and have the airport gate open, and vice versa. After visiting/being visited once you can send mail or Nook Shopping gifts to them.

You'll need to make 5 more to get the last Nook Miles reward though.
My island finally reached five stars on Christmas Day! I've played at least a little bit every day since the game was released, but I'm still very casual about it. I've finished my fossils, fish, and bugs for the museum (except for two or three of the deep sea critters), but I've been incredibly slow about developing the areas of my island where there aren't any villager houses. I think the most ambitious task I took on thus far was creating a rock garden this past summer. That took me at least a couple weeks to seal up all the holes where rocks managed to spawn that weren't where I wanted them to be. Haha.
My villagers are apparently horrible according to the tier system (see below), but I like most of them. The only one I really don't feel any attachment to is Drake. If someone tempting showed up at my campsite I would probably keep resetting until Drake was the one to leave, but so far no one tempting has camped on my island. I absolutely adore Pekoe. Mira, Tammi, and Kitty are up there too with me. Pietro is an odd one, but I keep him around. The rest are not without their charms...
Pietro (Tier 3)
Mira (Tier 5)
Annabelle (Tier 5)
Buck (Tier 6)
Pekoe (Tier 3)
Nate (Tier 6)
Boris (Tier 6)
Tammi (Tier 5)
Kitty (Tier 6)
Drake (Tier 5)
The festive decorations for Toy Day were the first ones that truly inspired me to decorate my island. I imagine they were instrumental in getting my rating up the rest of the way since I've been slapping holiday trees of various sizes all over the place. I'm sure it also helps that I've FINALLY been clearing out the flower-pocalypse that was my clifftops so that I can create some more gathering areas that my villagers largely won't use.

Tier system? I just keep whoever I like around. I do allow villagers who has given me their photo to leave (exept Fuchsia, can’t let my first villager to leave).

If bad, then why I want? HMM?
I dunno
I wouldn't
I dunno, it's kind of nice to pretend like I'm not locked in the house with the same two people for the last 8 months or something.
I would.

Oh yes, mine too. Some very elaborate dioramas.
Anyway, Redd's got a real Night Watch and a real Birth of Venus for sale today.
Can I come grab it please @WotanAnubis ? : )
@PirateQueen
Since I ended up buying the Night Watch, sure. If you can let me know when you're likely to be online so I can briefly open up my island.
What time suits you?
Gotta try walking the puppy in a snowstorm ATM, but can come back online any time in the afternoon; )
Just about any time suits me. Though, the sooner the better, really.
OK, give me about five minutes.
