He got a scar on the face from the punch. He also lost his hand, which was at the time reaching through the ether and grabbing Annie‘a flame-soul or somesuch, as a monkey-paw version of wishing his wife back.

It isn’t specified whether the hand was removed as part of the ritual, or it got popped off as a result of the pop to the jaw.

The hand was removed as part of the ritual.

He wasnt getting Surma back he was trying to remove the fire spirit from Annie so she could have a child and not die and likely so the court couldn't use her as a weapon

So I never read the parts you folks are talking about, but now Antimony is all doubled up....
...what if there's now enough for her mother again? Alternatively, maybe this mean Antimony can have a kid someday without repeating this extra sad version of Steven Universe.

When they were split they still just had the one fire sprite part that was connected to both of them.

the thing that's interesting about tony is that, although we dissaprove of his actions, the actions he takes are the ones we all would take. In hating tony we are hating ourselves, spitting in the eye of the person in the mirror

Geeze. Fire that can't spread is a bit confounding. Must be a jerk wizard behind it.

I mean, that's one way to let Salami Dave let it all hang out. It was said he was still holding back due to not wanting to cause more collateral damage, right? Something about a Gordian knot and being the easiest way to solve a problem.

Nope. That's why he got punched in the face. What he was doing was going to kill her.

before he became a Demiurge, his name was Salami Dave. He had to change it so the other demiurges wouldnt be jealous of his cool name
