My new favorite situation at work is that a bunch of people have made a stink about maskless customers. They ask- if someone without a mask comes to my line, do I HAVE to check them out?

Management: absolutely not. If you’re not comfortable dealing with a customer who isn’t wearing a face covering, you can ask someone to switch out.
Staff: what if no one else is willing to? Can we deny service, since they’re in violation of the mask order?
Management: oh, absolutely not. If no one else will do it then John or another manager will check them out.

    Me: 🤤

I am tired. Today was relaxing early then packing and moving some stuff from the GFs to my place for the move in in February. I have to unpack the two boxes tomorrow morning to take back up. We are loading up both cars this time. She is going for the absolute minimum being at her current apartment.

I’m starting to get sick of Spotify preferring to be my podcast app instead of my music app, especially when it’s sucks so much as a podcast app.

can you feel the struggle within?

I've decided to become a completely irrational person

I'm gonna get into astrology, the fringiest of conspiracies, sovereign citizen stuff, The Secret, the prayer of Jabez, Dr Oz, Amway . . . all of it

I'm gonna buy a gun to protect myself from socialists and globalists and vaccinators

The most important educational software for me was Webcrawler.

What searches arent suspicious at all but most likely to show me boobs.

No joke, being able to touch type 90 wpm and understand how to phrase a web search to get results are the most important skills I've got.

It's shocking how many people don't understand how web searches work, or even just keywords

It seems like most people are either way too broad or ask questions like a very confused person

    Examples:

Search: "I would like to know where the local Baskin-Robbins is and what time they close and also what flavors they have right now "

    Search: "porn"

Gah. I'm looking through all the PS4 exclusives and it's really cemented that I have no reason to buy a console again once I get a PC past all the scalpers.

I mean that's good for me because it saves me money but it's kind of disappointing that in the entire span of this hardware there are barely any experiences that it provided that couldn't be had better elsewhere.

Did Nolan intentionally rig the sound mixing so that it sounds awful on home stereo equipment as a way of forcing people to see this in theaters?

I'm listening to this on a not-inexpensive set of Bose headphones and it goes from bad to worse, and the top comment reflects that too

    Beard check-in

    5d49fz08jzb8.jpeg

@Fuzzy Cumulonimbus Cloud so I am (very very slowly) getting some upper cheek growth. Maybe it will look how I want in another couple months 🤔 I’m also digging the white/blonde hairs. What I am not digging is how I used to like how stubble looked, when clean shaven. But the stubble under my trimmed ‘beard line’ looks so bad 😭 do I just have to clean shave my neck every day

@Organichu I have to shave my neck stubble daily. I mean I don't now because I am a cave person but I do whenever I go out.

    Awww thanks bae

I was very nervous the first day I shaved the neck line in, because it seemed like almost a thick chinstrap thing instead of a real beard? But I’m warming to it more especially as the mustache grows in. First time I’ve gone this long without shaving in my life!!

I think in this new game I'm leaning toward it being a somewhat idealized version of the real world and also a handful of the population is animal people without any explanation.

The player character is an animal person and sometimes they might have a coffee date with a human and sometimes they might be meeting a sabertooth tiger at the library.

It's exactly as bad in the theater

Nolan is a complete idiot wrt audio mixing

Like, he has dyslexia of the ear or something. I've read and watch interviews. He literally can't tell there's anything wrong.

    I have a Cutco knife

It's monogrammed with mine and TheFormerMrsAtomika's initials. It was a wedding present. Pearl handle.

Still works quite well. Nice knife.
