i imagine it will be a mix of qol fixes and system overhauls that are patched into the main game + some separate content that is paid for?
but then i cant see them doing this without it being rolled into some kind of goty/definitive edition for a low price in a year or so, because they must be aware of how sensitive the pricing of this will be
The smart play is probably placate investors by saying yup we're totally charging for this DLC, rolling as many fixes as they can into it, and then quietly releasing a free patch that includes all of those fixes at the same time the paid DLC content drops.

Look if they wanna make an expansion that's fine, they got enough employees for it
But if they're gonna charge money for an expansion that includes features the original release promised, I'ma be pretty disappointed
Honestly what would an expansion even look like? I guess a separate environment with a separate story, Witcher style, right?
Personally I thought the Mercenary side of the game was woefully underdeveloped and I would love an expansion that went full throttle into that.
I could use some fixer storylines , Dino and El Capitan and Mr. Hands seem like they could have really good job gone wrong plots or something where the fixer and merc get screwed by the client etc.

I want some fucking closure to the Peralez storyline
There's a ton of DLC stuff you could do.
1) Peralez closure
2) Space casino mission as per ending
3) finding a cure for V
4) prologue content to expand upon Jackie
5) dealing with mr blue eyes
6) gang warfare content and gameplay
But yeah if it's stuff that was promised in the release version then ... well heck, I'm unsure how their reputation could sink any lower than it already has.
I have never gotten any weapon to display in my stash, ever. Not sure if my game is just bugged af or if I've just never done something right. Most likely I'm just an idiot, but I can't rule out bugs either.

I'm guessing you tried using a guide? It's impossible IMO without one, and even then it's hard to do.

It will only display iconic weapons and only a subset of them. Many of the iconic weapons also have to be crafted from blueprints, not just found.
Just remember that half the people you meet are below average intelligence.

Yeah, picking up the iconic weapon is usually only step one. Step two is crafting the higher color tiers (first purple, then usually—but not always—orange) of the weapon. The wall only accepts best version of the weapons it has slots for.

No, any tier works. It's just very specific guns. Only ones that require crafting are the right wall ones because you only find crafting specs for those.
edit:
Right wall is the organised crime ncpd thing iconic guns. Middle wall is Skippy (you have to trigger Skippy remembering his owner but not return him yet to display him), the guns of Dex, Jackie, River, Kerry, Panam and Judy and the swords of Saburo and I think Oda. Left wall is Johnny's gun.
I only take 1 of Jackie's pistols. It doesn't feel right taking either, but leaving 1 and taking the other feels like maintaining a connecting to my choomba instead of looting his shit.
I just don't understand how he became a megastar. I understand how he became a meme. Liefeld was consistently the worst artist in the X-Books back then and he just kept failing up.

And my new run for 1.3 is done. Was a lot of fun. Spotted a lot of little things I'd missed on first playthrough. I actually really prefer the alternate silverhand look. Was nice not crashing all the time. Had about 5 total over the ~120 hours.
Might try a strength heavy build next. Both of the ones I've finished so far have been Str4, Ref7, Int/Tech/Cool20.

My current is a strength build. LMGs/shotguns/gorilla arms. It's hilariously good so far.
So I've had this game on my Series X for a minute now but I've had a difficult time staying with it. I dunno quite why.
The seemless conversations and character models are absolutely excellent and I think should be an industry standard for open world games going forward. It makes every interaction with a character feel very real and moody with all the neon flares and smoke and stuff. But then I get out on the street and it's just kinda flat and jank. I almost feel like this game could've worked better as a Deus Ex style linear "open world" instead of a full blown map.
As long as I stay in the missions it's much more interesting to me. I've also run into an issue with dress up. I've found a look that works for my V and isn't ridiculous bubblegum boots and cat ear hats but the stats suck ass. But I can't find anything cooler.
Also holy shit this game is dark. Not like, content wise I mean I can't see shit. I wish I could've at least gotten that PC mod that turns Night City into the Blade Runner world with all the smog and haze and then it would've felt moody and neat and not frustrating.
Edit: I've not noticed a huge graphics difference swapping between quality and performance mode on the SX. Quality definitely drops the frame rate enough to be noticeable so I just keep it in performance mode.

For darkness issues, first have you tried adjusting the gamma? I ask because many people have missed the "press L3 to adjust gamma" option in the menu. If you have an HDR TV, have you set the max brightness value in game to match the tv's max nits? Have you tried raising the "tone-mapping midpoint" value to brighten dark areas?

The fun part is you can just punch instead of shooting. Telling Adam Smasher to catch these hands is great. Also if you're stripped of weapons it's lol.
The special 20 body responses are also great.

What's the state of the game now a days?
I played it at launch, loved every minute of it. Almost started another game where I 100% do everything but told myself to wait cause it'll only get better.

Fuck capitalism, imo
So looks like they've began work on an expansion.
I've got 1.3 installed with the mods but prob won't start until the weekend.

You're some crazy street samurai character to someone else's Case or Newmark. And that's good enough for me.
But what I don't want is them being all "AND HERE'S THE SPECIFIC RESOLUTION TO THIS EXACT PROBLEM WITH A BOW ON TOP"
Let some stuff go without pure finality. Leave it be. Not everything has to have an obviously wrapped up and completely explained conclusion.
