60 pulls on weapon banner, turns yellow! Skyward Blade, booooo
Next 10-pull, also turns yellow! Staff of Homa wooooooooo
70 pulls for a SoH was what I was hoping for anyways, the Skyward Blade somehow turning from a massive liability to just extra gravy is awesome. Now to resist the urge to try to get a WGS until at least Hu Tao comes out (not that I have enough pulls left to pull her anyways).
I am disappointed I got mainly crap on the 4*s though, only one lithic spear and one Noelle constellation as the only things of note.

Getting weapons, quite honestly, is pretty shit so I'm real happy about it
The fact that you can pull a dozen 5* weapons in a row and, if you're particularly unlucky, have them all be the same one is a bit of a risk to pulling on weapon banners, although I do generally recommend people pull on weapon banners once they've got a solid cast of characters since I think weapons were fairly underrated in the early goings (Pulling a weapon is, admittedly, often less exciting than a whole new character)
At least with Hu Tao, I know I can guarantee I'll get her down the road
20 fresh pulls got me the wolf claymore. I had 60 left so I figure what the fuck, we'll go until the next one and then stop. Nothing so far, but I know I'll get 20 more pulls before the banner, so fingers crossed for the staff. But I'm happy with the claymore.

So, I probably went a little harder on the weapon banner than I should have. I find myself with 1 Wolf's Gravestone and 2 Staff of Homa. Would it be better to just have 2 of these staffs? Or should I enhance one?
I went fishing for Wolf's Gravestone, as a Beidou Main I think I am contractually obligated to try.
Things I got
Widsith max Refine [and one extra]
Lithic Spear max Refine
Lithic Blade [just the one]
C6 Barbara
C6 Xiangling
The first Bennett. Also Staff of Homa... and a Wolf's Gravestone [Yay]
I may also still have enough saved to hit Pity on Hu Tao.
So my luck has likely been used for the year, I look forward to the absolute garbage I will be rolling on Artifacts for the foreseeable future.
I want to roll on the weapon banner, but I only have one 10 pull saved, and there's no way in hell I'll get a 5* weapon before the banner goes away. Used all my luck getting c2 Xiao in like 30 pulls (was honestly trying for the 4* characters).

If you've got a Zhongli and are also planning to roll for Hu Tao, I'd keep them separate since it's BiS for both of them, and at least some theorycrafting says they'll go well together (and let's be real, Zhongli is awesome with everyone now). Otherwise, I'd refine it to r2 as its a boost to both hp and damage.

I do have a c1 zhongli, I haven't decided on hu tao since i have......no gems left now. Idk what to do............
So is Skyward Blade actually good for anybody? Bennett I guess? I already have an r5 favonius blade on him that works well so not sure its worth the resources to level up. I'm planning to start working on Xingqiu as a Hu Tao support, but I don't think he really needs ER and the active procs on the blade seem like they'd be wasted on him. Maybe for my co-op Jean since she's stuck with an r2 Flute.

Leave em separate then. No penalty for combining them later, but you can't reverse the decision once you do it.

A support Jean would like it. I'd say it's good on Xingqiu and Qiqi as well, and even Kaeya and Traveler should see good use from it. I'd say the only one who really should avoid it is Keqing, and only because her energy recharge is already really fast.
Theres always gonna be new characters tho. *hugs his gems tightly*
Always going to be new weapons too.
But yeah, I'm all about characters. At the very least, you can get solid weapons for all five classes from the BPs.
We don't spend a dime on this game so we only got primogems. Weapons are temping but my xiao is just gonna have to have his white tassel for now and like it. What's that Xiao? You don't do as much damage? Guess you'll just have to get good then!
It's a running joke every time we get one of the blue wishes from bp that "Time for another 3 star weapon!"
Maybe one day I'll get a nice 4 star from it.

My razor went from an unbuffed 1900 atk to an unbuffed 2400 atk which goes to 2750 atk whenever the sword procs its ability, pretty good sword one might say.
So I'm thinking of shaking up my current team just as a change. Given that I just rolled Razor and Zhongli's BiS, I'm keeping them, but seeing if there's a better two characters for supporting them.
Current Team:
Razor C6 - Wolf's Gravestone
Zhongli C1 - Staff of Homa
QiQi C0 - Black Sword R2
Fischl C6 - Stringless R4
I have every character aside from Childe, Jean, and Klee. But of those,

I'm currently thinking of swapping in Bennet for QiQi, but don't know who could or should replace Fischl.
Xiangling, probably. I know Overload gets hate, but that's as close to fire-and-forget Do More Damage as anything in your shortlist will get you.
Chongyun is an interesting alternative, if he's C2 so Zhongli can rotate-bomb more often.
Chongyun is C6. I wonder if the lithic sword would be worth it with just two characters in the party.
Probably depends on how Razor's geared a bit, too, but if hitting for Frost doesn't lose you damage in the process that basically reads as "enemies get low on health, then explode and my cooldowns all reset," as a gameplan.

Swap Bennet in Yes
Swap QiQi out No
Overload sucks eggs, most of Razor's damage is physical, and Superconduct stacks with Zhongli's resistance shred
I guess you could swap QiQi out for Diona or Kaeya though, I'd probably go with Kaeya personally since his Burst is better for fire and forget comboing
EDIT: it also sucks that the only elemental resonance that Razor really benefits from is Fire
I am just a tiny baby (AR 22, almost 23) but I'm having quite a bit of fun with Razor, c1 Bennet, Barbara, and Noelle. Every hit is either overload or vaporize and I can see how it might be annoying to have overloaded tossing folks around, but when a hillichurl dies mid-flight the only downside is running all around the combat site picking up item drops after the killing is done.

The thing is that Overload doesn't do much damage, long term
Vaporize (and Melt) are incredible though and are the main reason that Fire has been the DPS element

No argument. The plus side in the case of Fischl or Xiangling being the aura-generators for it, though, is that it's exceptionally low-effort (and low time off Razor).
I still think the Chongyun idea was the better of the two I had, though.

The thing is that converting Razor's damage to ice dumps it straight into the toilet
His ascension stat is physical damage and he wants a physical damage cup, if you're not using a 5* weapon? You're probably using Snow-Tombed Starsilver for the Physical damage sub stat

Right, so you'd be just plain wrong to drop Chongyun's field and stand in it with Razor. I'm not confused about that:
if hitting for Frost doesn't lose you damage in the process
So you do, say, swap to Chongyun, auto, apply ES, swap to Bennett?, apply ES, swap back to Chongyun, Burst, swap to Zhongli, skill, burst, finally back to Razor for cleanup while either not standing in the circle or it having expired because 10 seconds have passed. Razor's not the guy in the comp who wants the CDR anyway.
It might still be jank once tried, but at least it'll feel different and less AA-heavy. Not everything is a tofu block or best approached as one.
Went hunting for a Lion's Roar last night, nothing crazy just single pulls until i got my 4*. Somehow ended up with a second Widsith. Not exactly complaining as Im lacking in catalysts, but still, want that damn sword.

Zhongli doesn't really care about cooldowns either though, his burst is on a 12s cooldown and his shield lasts much longer than the cooldown on his skill
With Kaeya instead you just pop off his ES and Burst, and switch back to Razor and keep doing ungodly damage because Razor has some of the highest DPS in the game

I honestly think I got bugged with Lion's Roar. Used up my hoarded gems to tri and get Staff or Gravestone, ended up with 7 Lion's Roar. I did not get either the Staff or the Gravestone.
I still haven't figured out what exactly I'm supposed to do on 12-1 of the Abyss. The two geovishaps are large enemies that are fairly fast and don't flinch to attacks, and as soon as they attune to elements, there's just a constant stream of really powerful attacks in which I can't realistically avoid everything. I've tried to just burn one of them down before I run out of steam, but I don't think I've even managed to half kill one of them yet. Let alone doing it consecutively with two different teams.
Incidentally, they do flinch to Xiao's plunge attacks, which is definitely a plan. But when that happens, they reel back so far that it's hard to stay on top of them.

Sprint jumping to cancel your plunge will cause your jump to leap forwards quite far, this might help staying on top of them for the next plunge (haven't done this fight myself so I'm just throwing out suggestions).

Zhongli is definitely key to one side; shields are the hard counter to those things. I do use Xiao on the other side; haven't really noticed an issue with staying on top of them. The range on his splash damage is pretty huge and if you see one get knocked too far away I use the E to immediately zap back on top of them. Here's my teams:
Note the Jean+Barbara combo which is entirely focused on keeping Xiao alive and charged.
I'm only off by 30 seconds or so from three stars on both, so could likely three star with a little more work. However, I'm completely stonewalled on second half of 12-3. First half is a breeze as Zhongli rips through them in under a minute (100k+ crits with lvl 80 SoH + Bennett & pyro resonance), but second half with double ruin graders is just ridiculous and I can't seem to stay alive no matter what I do. I think I need to essentially reverse my teams to bring Zhongli to bear on the ruin graders, but then I don't have a pyro to bring to first half of 12-2. Probably just need to eat a 0-star on that one to advance with the right team.

Can you be more specific on what exactly having a shield does to help? I imagine Zhongli in general is great just because he prevents so much of the damage and his shield can actually last. But like, I took my Noelle team in there just to experiment, and her shield would last maybe two seconds before it shattered. I was hoping to test if it would reflect those electric balls or something, but it never lasted long enough to do anything.

I believe this is illegal and I have reported you to the gacha police.
Means it'll be a rough time trying to get Hu Tao, but honestly, probably easier to get a character than a specific 5* weapon with the way pity works
