Unrelatedly, concentrated jelly blocks for making desserts, eaten straight out the packet, are as good as sports energy gels for dealing with a blood sugar bonk when running or cycling

I have to imagine they're more price efficient too, when compared with the products marketed directly at the endurance sport enthusiast.

Oh yeah, they're pennies
Whereas the gels I usually use, which aren't even at the expensive end, are like £12 for 20

The other (downtide) side of the bridge was totally clear, so the icebergs were just piling up against each other. Anyways, nice area down there. Strong contender for summer beach spot.

The things like cold jellied tomatoes and frosted egg salad actually look like things I’d eat at a push. The ceveche-type stuff, too.
It’s when you start mixing savory and sweet and put heaps of mayonnaise on everything it becomes a crime
It was good though.
but they're listening to every word I say
Bird spit+haggis+lutefisk+mountain oysters+aspic.

Consider rendang.
What am
malaysian stew, usually beef sometimes chicken or potato.
Rendang is Indonesian / Malaysian stewed meat where you let the stew cook nearly dry, so all the flavor sticks to the meat.
It's great but it takes time and you have to work at the end, stirring to make sure you evaporate almost all moisture without burning.
Also terrifying snowmen.
