    My brain pretty much stores the entirety of a user's personality in their avatar, so if they change it to something new they get a fresh start in my brain until I can jump through the mental hoops to link them to the old avatar (which may never happen).

    I usually don't even look at the names.

    A huge part of why the forums are how they are now and not a horrible cesspit is because of you. The glorious edict was a brilliant rules addition. The way the place has been run has made people feel comfortable here in an increasingly uncomfortable world and I personally can't thank you enough for that.

    I just want to say thank very much Tube! I don't know if I can add anything really unique, but everyone's been spot on for why I've stuck around for a while.


    I guess if you'll answer me one question:
    You're in a desert, walking along in the sand, when all of a sudden you look down and see a tortoise. It's crawling toward you, and you reach down and you flip the tortoise over on its back. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over, but it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping. Why is that?

    So you know those stories with the genie or whatever and you have to be extremely careful with your language and to not accidentally say something like "I wish..." because the genie might decide to take you literally?

    There are two kinds of genies really. Those that will directly fuck you over in some way, and those that give you exactly what you want because they know how it ends anyways.

    aye, makes sense tho. game creation's a ton of work and anyone who can host probably only has so many games in them before burnout hits. and in general it didn't really attract new players to replace the old ones cycling out over time. but hey, was fun to be a part of while it was runnin big
