He called a 13 year old Chelsea Clinton the White House dog

I know it isn’t the worst thing he said, or the totality of his evil, but just that attitude being drilled into tens of millions for hours on end for decades.

As has been said before, I find myself unable to be happy about this, he did his damage and got away with it

He wasn’t just evil he was a massive weirdo and conspiracy nut, the fact that so many in our culture idolised him and gathered around the radio for his sermons of hate and nonsense noises is just so depressing and off putting

As someone whom regretfully spent the 90s and 00s listening to Limbaugh, I do not have to imagine. I'd like to think I am a far better person now compared to then.

While I've always tried to never celebrate someone's passing, this one time I did an arm pump in the air, because this asshole did so much damage to the American populace that we're never gonna put that proverbial genie back into the bottle.

    The exact quote was this:
“Socks is the White House cat. But did you know there is also a White House dog?” – Rush Limbaugh, holding a pic of 13-year-old Chelsea Clinton on TV, 1993.”

The fact that he wasn't tarred and feathered and run out of broadcasting on a rail for that statement was pretty much step one for not only Trump's road to the White House, but the Capitol Riots as well.

Edit: You know what, I had a screed here that would get me infracted even in this thread. I didn't involve me killing him, but it did include a baseball bat and a time machine that could only go to 1994. It was a better rant/joke than Rush ever managed to make in his entire life. It was also completely shit, slightly disturbing and that tells you everything that need to know about Rush's contributions to human civilization.

Well, it’s not like he stopped doing evil and went to hide out in Argentina, death turned off his shot spigot mid flow.
It’d be great if he’d died 30 years ago, but it’s good that he’ll still be dead tomorrow.

Welcome to my TED talk about how to enjoy somebody dying, no I don’t feel bad about it.

If ever there were proof that the Clintons don't have a clandestine assassin ring capable of murdering their political enemies, it's the fact that Rush did this and lived.

Yeah. He did help organize the animation writing industry to collectively bargain when he was young and his show had just been picked up by Fox though. I mean props for that because most people who just landed a lucrative dream job running a show at the age of 25 probably wouldn't have joined the Harvard grads behind The Simpsons in their "we don't really need this job, pay writers more" strike.

So it stands in some contrast to Rush who never did a single good thing for anybody until today.

Yeah shit, wait until the Covid is over and you can have a nice celebratory dinner at a fine restaurant. Crack open a good bottle of wine, order a fine meal, top it of with a good desert or a finely aged glass of Whiskey and tell the staff that you are celebrating. When they ask what your celebrating you say: "That Rush Limbaugh is still dead"!

What I am saying is treat yourself, some things should be savored.

There's a scene at the end of Class Action Park where the mother of one of the people killed at Action Park talks about how, when the original owner died, her husband took her out to celebrate his death.

I sort of feel like that today.

I was thinking about this when I heard the news today. Usually when an entertainer or celebrity dies you get to see all the sizzle reels and best of's from their work. Or like, a great collection of their many appearances on the late night talk shows, etc etc. What's Rush's sizzle reel? His greatest hits are literally him saying horrible shit into a microphone to score imaginary points on liberals. It's just fucking sad. I'm not ever sure conservatives will miss him at all, given there's no shortage of blow hard apes out there to fill a person full of hate.

Anyways, it's good when bad things happen to bad people and Rush was one of the worst so him dying is great.

Anybody that wants to get on some high horse about how you shouldn't speak ill of the dead can suck it.

There's lots of dead people I'll shit on.
