That's the subtle sort of shit surrounding the immigration policy discussion that drives me up the fucking wall, especially when people write it off or disregard it. Nobody here has done it, to be clear (a lot of people like to tell me that when I'm talking about America-at-large). I'm betting the article writer is a real peach of a person.

It’s one of the reasons I keep referencing that our immigration system was born in white supremacy. We’ve never actually managed to extricate it from those fundamental notions that birthed it, so you wind up getting shit like that kind of language used to talk about “containing” the “spread” of human beings


Which thinking about it, gives me terrified chills thinking about what’s gonna happen when eco fascism runs headlong into that.
