Matt Nix also made The Good Guys which was criminally underappreciated as a loving parody of 80s buddy cop movies, featuring Colin Hanks and Bradley Whitford. It's one of those shows like Better Off Ted and The Middle Man that I wish had gotten at least a couple more seasons.
...and of course, as always, Kill Hitler.

I like in Numb3rs that understanding the math concepts is not very hard and it’s often really dumb how it would solve the crime in question.

I think the best thing about Burn Notice was how spot on the tradecraft was.
Like you could watch five seasons of that show and learn some shit
I mentioned being jealous of Atomika's stash of Weller bourbon in the last Chat thread, and two days later I manage to get 2 bottles at msrp by wandering into a store the same day they put a shipment out. First time I've seen it on a shelf in years.
Now to post about being jealous of someone's PS5 or something, and see if this is an actual power or just coincidence.

I never actually saw the Burn Notice movie, and I really ought to.
Also, Matt Nix is now making a series of Turner and Hooch. I'm actually kinda in the idea of that, despite it being a remake, given how good his other shows have been.

also i'm nearly finished Scorpion after watching Blindspot
i have awful taste in television
Oh wait... I may have watched Scorpion and not Numb3rs... There was a gang of geniuses and the one guy was really good at math and also missiles?
yeah that was scorpion!
that was definitely more magical autist but in that case in was actually based on a real person but from the sounds of it the fictional autist is a lot more charming than the real life dude who is basically a professional grifter
the show is very entertaining if you like turning your brain off and hearing shit like "we need to set the ocean on fire to scare away the jellyfish so we can escape!"
I enjoyed that it was very dumb. I guess I've never seen Numb3rs.
numb3rs is more grounded and uses actual maths but admittedly in a dumb and unrealistic way
they got actual mathematicians to check out all of the maths involved and Wolfram were involved all of it's episodes too

I stopped watching Burn Notice after the millionth time they cornered the bad guy, but then he got away because the hero couldn't shoot him.
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.

I remember Numb3rs being a version of The Magical Autist genre but I don't remember any thing about the show and I'm pretty sure I watched multiple seasons.
the math guy and the main cop were brothers with Judd Hirsch being the wise dad

My dad was being the typical Alberta conservative boomer, talking about how COVID is a hoax, and he asks me, "Do you actually KNOW anyone who had it?"

they've been to space, stopped like four nukes, prevented a mass extinction event AND saved a dog down a well
Like you could watch five seasons of that show and learn some shit
they all have a similar vibe to me even though they aren't really similar shows

After Charlie Day and Charles Manson, that's the third most common celebrity comparison I get
At least I am an entomologist but uh, yeah, it's kind of a burn
Like the box that detects lies or the red lab coat.
it's true; we have a greyhound here and I love him so much
I am however catastrophically allergic to dogs so I can't have him around too much
I'd love it if you took a look at my art and my PATREON!

Also the math in pi is pretty bad for being a movie about math.
Seriously though, I can't tell if Aranofski is super religious or an atheist that is obsessed with religion.
Also I'mma give a hot take. I don't do that much.
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was better than 30 Rock and if NBC was going to premiere them both and choose one, they made the wrong choice.
Kidney stones: 😫
That first pee after make you think you were dying?
I'd love it if you took a look at my art and my PATREON!
awesoming bc I like your hare av
I'd love it if you took a look at my art and my PATREON!
Thanks! Albrecht Drürer painted it in 1502 with watercolors, apparently, which means it's definitely fair use by now
Also holy shit Albrecht
edit: there's even a Wikipedia page

Ok this just happened and what the fuck
I'm not an entomologist (obv) and it seemed like a burn and I thought of you while posting but it turns out he's actually a rad dude!
