THIS WAS MURDER. MURRRRDDDEERRRRRRRRRRR. Most commenters wave it away as our little heroine just exercising self defense or defense of property, but if it toddler attacks you, you can't respond with deadly force and call it justified self defense.
Aside from the fact that these were adults and not toddlers

    1. Stand your Ground: While some places say that you have a right to stand your ground anywhere, a lot of places say you have a duty to retreat and not use lethal force unless it becomes necessary. There is an exception for this when you are inside your own home. If you're inside your home what you can do to defend yourself changes simply because you're supposed to be safe there and there is no place to retreat to
    2. If someone, even a gat damn child, comes at you with lethal force you can defend yourself with lethal force in many circumstances.
    3. These are not children these are adults and she did not attack first at all, even when her home was invaded.
You're right, less adults and toddlers and more adults and a literal GOD beyond human understanding. The strongest human mage in the world said as much.

Also legality doesn't equal ethics. Legally you can kill people because they're trying to destroy or steal your property. Ethically you cannot kill people if your life isn't in any danger.

The ethical thing to do would be to just leave the situation.
    Spider
But the humans were in her home, and almost literally every encounter she's had post-birth has been Kill or Be Killed. She also didn't know that she (probably) wasn't in danger. All that was known was a group of humans showed up (again), burned her house down (again), yelled in a language she can't speak (again), then tried to attack/kill her (again).

    Couple points
I think the legality and ethicality here overlap because the reasons I gave for the legal reasons are also the ethical reasons why you should be able to defend yourself. She's also not some unknowable god, the wizard just assumed that because he saw her stats on a monster and freaked the fuck out. She has a human intelligence! And she was actively trying to communicate!

They broke into her home and tried to kill her! And she was trying to communicate with them! I'm not sure what you thought she should do in that scenario, scarper off? From her home? I am admittedly biased because I used to do a lot of work in construction law on homes that were fucked up by builders. I have seen the very real damage it does to your psyche and mental health to have your home ravaged and destroyed by things outside your control.

I liked Megalobox but no sports anime has dethroned Hajime No Ippo for me.

Also for all the problematic 80s shit in Ippo nothing makes me cringe as hard as that rap scene from the first season of Megalobox. Never do that again please.

Ippo has an almost perfect core loop of slice of life>training>fight that happens every 7-10 episodes that makes for incredible pacing.

It loses that slightly later on, but not until well after the various adaptations finish.

Days has improved in quality and been steadily good for more than a year now. It's a shame the pacing is slower and the MC so timid in the early parts as it holds it back a bit. It's mostly held up by it's supporting cast there.

Baki has a guy slap the water so fast with his feet that he is able to 'run' across it.

And he does this while carrying someone else, and when he slaps his feet on the water he exclaims It's working

It's the stupidest fucking thing I've ever seen in my life.

iirc horimiya is super meandering because the original webcomic had a ton of filler fluff bits after they finished the main story which got put back into the proper timeline in the manga. I punched out after a couple volumes because it was good enough but never ever went anywhere and I’m not surprised the anime is falling prey to the same

    Toriko does something similar.

A couple of the older-and-therefore-more-badass characters are running across the water, and their explanation is basically "when I feel my foot sinking, I pull my foot up and put the other down".

Ippo uses actual real techniques and shit. The Dempsey Roll is an actual, real technique invented by actual, real boxer Jack Dempsey. Ippo just makes it anime as fuck with the sound effects and the flourishes.

And the reaper's boxing style? That shit is an actual boxing style! Each character uses real boxing styles! It's awesome!

Netflix recommended Madoka Magica and I decided to give in and try and see why people like it.

I guess people like it because it's really good.

I don't have anything smart or insightful to say, but I like the episodes I've seen so far. The weird animation style for the witches is neat.

I only kept reading horimiya because of the cute art. Occasionally some actual plot happened between the two MC in between appreciating the art. If you liked the start and are hoping for more its really few and far between you will be disappointed. If you like the fluffy stuff there's plenty of it.

(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.

What the humans did wasn't great, but as far as they were aware, they were hunting for a wild animal that was causing problems. They had no idea they were dealing with a person.

The humans had NO chance against her there. She is extremely powerful, and even has non-lethal means to subdue them! We already know she is good with webs, and one of her evil eye abilities lets her paralyze things. She could even let them run away!

I think of it like if some random bad guys were shooting at like, spiderman (a character she even referenced earlier) or superman. Would they be justified in methodically beating them to death? Even if they are, I wouldn't really be happy watching them do it, if I'd been cheering them on up to this point.

She killed them because she was mad, not because she was in danger. Her situation is terrible, she has been in deadly battles since birth, but it is hard to root for her here. I would feel better if she had felt some guilt or doubt, or even if she was cast in a more villainous light. Instead, she is a grumpy high-schooler acting like she just humorously beat up some bullies afterwards, and the whiplash from her slaughtering them to being more cutesy or lighthearted comedy is a bit much for me.

Also, a detail from the light novels not mentioned here, but maybe next episode?
She has a habit of eating everything she defeats, including those humans.
